Hotel Riverside With Swimming Pool

I have stayed here a number of times in the past. Oct 2025 was my most recent visit. It is nice to see they continue to “develop” & “move forward” (there is a swimming pool since last visit). There is also a new “high rise” they are building - close to the river. My personal preference would have been for something more “low profile” & “natural” In appearance. The service was good/personal & most-accommodating. My next visit to Chitwan: I’ll definitely book here again.

This hotel is absolutely unforgettable. The staff are warm, professional, and truly care about guests, making the entire stay smooth and welcoming. One of the highlights was relaxing by the clean and well-kept swimming pool with a breathtaking view of the river flowing right beside the hotel. In the evenings, the sunsets were magical — the whole sky turning golden and reflecting over the water. To my surprise, I even witnessed a rhino calmly walking past the hotel grounds, which felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Between the outstanding service, incredible natural surroundings, and unique wildlife moments, this place offers a perfect blend of comfort and adventure. I can’t wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

A lovely relaxing place with friendly staff. They couldn’t do enough for us and were very proficient at organising the activities we had pre booked such as a jeep safari, canoe ride, safari trek, cultural evening and lifts to/ from the buses. Thank you;)

Wonderful stay with a unique experience! We truly enjoyed our time at this hotel. The swimming pool was always spotless and perfect for relaxing. The garden is beautifully landscaped — a peaceful green oasis. What made our stay absolutely unforgettable was seeing a rhinoceros walk into the garden during dinner. A magical and rare moment we’ll never forget! The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, always welcoming us with a smile. Our room was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. In short: a fantastic place where nature, comfort, and hospitality come together. Recommended!

Hotel River Side is a perfect place to relax in Sauraha. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very welcoming, and the service is top-notch. The swimming pool is well-maintained and adds a wonderful touch, especially on warm days. The location by the river is beautiful and peaceful, making it an ideal spot to enjoy nature while still being close to the park and activities. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Chitwan!

My wife and I stayed here because all of the positive reviews for the resort. Location is great. Very close to the river, forest, and other main attractions in Chitwan and Sauraha. However, much of the resort feels like it needs renovating. Our door and lock on our room was extremely hard to operate, and was not secure at all, and the screen door on it would not even shut. The AC was weak and could only keep up at night when temperatures cooled, and the pool had lots of tiles peeling up from the floor. It feels like it was a very nice resort 15 years ago, but now feels dated. However, they had a friendly staff, and it appears as though they are building some new buildings on the property, so we are hopeful that with the new buildings come some new updates that will improve the experience.

Such a nice view and friendly staff! I really enjoyed every moment at the hotel.The location is perfect — it’s right next to the national park, and I could actually see the river from the balcony. It’s also on the main street, so it’s easy to get anywhere. The room was in perfect condition and very clean. The air conditioner worked really well. The staff were all so friendly and kind.
