Hôtel Rohan Strasbourg

What an amazing hotel and staff. Right by the cathedral, in the heart of the Christmas markets, everything in Strasbourg is walkable from here. Great rooms, nice breakfast, coffee and bar. Most importantly every single member of the staff cares deeply about their customers. There were so many little moments when they went the extra mile for us. I would love to go back there every year.

We had 2 nights in this lovely hotel. Location is amazing. Right on the Cathedral square. The front desk staff were very obliging and friendly. The breakfast was nice with a great self service. The only wee suggestion I would make is that a hand rail is installed over the bath/shower as the bath was very slippery which I found when getting out the first time. Extremely careful after that.

We stayed here for 2 days near the beginning of September and had a fantastic time. Wonderful hotel, the rooms were great, and the staff fantastic and super helpful. And as for the location, well, I don't think it could be beat. You are right there close to everything, shops, tourist sites, and great restaurants. You are literally just steps away from the cathedral. Would highly recommend and would easily stay here again if I was ever back.

Summary = Dirty and not a 4 star hotel. Negatives = Dirty bathroom ... tiny safe n closet that did not function ... room door that was slightly broken and hard to close ... very old TV with no ability to mirror or stream to ... an exorbitant price during Christmas Market season ... and finally, misrepresentation about how many starts it is. Positives = Lovely lobby and relaxation area ... decent buffet ... friendly staff. Bottom line = Not worth the money and the uncleaned state of the rooms (we had 2 rooms) were unacceptable (see picture). We do not recommend the hotel.

The location is great UNLESS you are visiting during Christmas market season! Then it’s so busy you don’t want to try and get to this location. Rooms could definitely be cleaned better. The wallpaper looked like it had black mold, shower head looked to have black mold and tiles had black mold. Small rooms but that was expected.

Hotel Rohan is steps away from the cathedral and centrally located to all of the must sees in Strasbourg. It is a short walk to trams. The breakfast was included and was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodations were roomy and the bathroom was modern. Because the weather was good we kept the windows open at night. It was too noisy early in the early morning for that! When we turned on the AC and kept the windows closed the noise was not an issue. A room in the back of the hotel faces a quiet street so perhaps that would have been a better choice if you want to keep the windows open. I highly recommend the hotel.

One of my favorite hotels in the world. I’ve stayed there twice and both times have been amazing. Comfortable, quiet, and perfect location. Staff are very courteous, and breakfast is outstanding.

The location is very central, near the cathedral & surrounded by all the kitsch Christmas shops. The room is fine, clean, comfortable, quiet. The woman who checked us in was friendly and polite. The man on the evening reception shift was rude, unpleasant and dismissive when asked for a simple and very reasonable request which housekeeping should have taken care of. It really left a negative impression.

Lovely hotel, friendly multi-lingual staff, comfortable rooms, great location for seeing the sights of Strasbourg and beyond. Although it is surrounded by touristy shops and restaurants, the "road" in front is pedestrian-only, and once the daytime crowds die down it is a lovely little "neighborhood. Being so close to the Cathedral meant it was easy to find our way back through the winding streets every afternoon and evening. Decor is reminiscent of the Kimpton Hotels in the US. Beds are comfy, good water pressure, fluffy towels. Have the hotel staff order you a taxi back to the train station and they will arrange for it to pick you up in the courtyard behind the hotel so you don't have to drag your bags through the cobblestones to/from the tram like we did! Would stay here again if we return to Strasbourg. PS - The "comfort" rooms are very small, so if that is an issue for you, upgrade to "deluxe".

Best Location in Strasbourg ! The Hotel des Rohan has the best location in Strasbourg just steps away from the magnificant cathedral. There are restaurants all around the hotel and shops are all within strolling distance. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the baths are modern, shiney and bright. They offer a continental breakfast in the morning with fresh pastries, bread, juice and coffee. One more thing, THE PRICES ARE A BARGIN!
