My first stay ever in an Italian hotel so I may not be the best qualified but here goes. Follow me here for more reviews as I travel this month in Italy. Overall a pretty good place to stay. Great buffet breakfast, lovely lobby, great service all around. Smallish room, but then this is Italy. Very near the train station, within walking distance of high end shopping, museums, and restaurants. Book a room that faces away from the main street or expect to be awoken by some interesting street noise. Reasonably priced.

We stayed there for 3 nights. |I booked a parking place, and I was told via mail that there was a parking place just at the entrance, so we could easily take our luggage. Afterwards we could leave the car there and someone from the reception desk, put the car in a covered garage (inside the hotel). What a service. |The reception was very friendly and professional. The room was very spatious and very clean with a (renovated ?) bath room with a fantastic rain shower. |The breakfast was more than OK. (eggs, cold cuts, sorts of bread, cake, juices etc....) |The situation of the hotel is fantastic. You get out, go left and after 100 meters you are in the main shopping street (via Roma), which leads to the Palazzo Reale. |So were very satisfied with the hotel. The only point is that early in the morning the tramway passes on the side of the hotel and makes a terrible noise..... |All by all, next time I am in Torino, I would book the same hotel

The hotel is very clean, with an excellent location. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are spacious. Our room was overlooking the square (Piazza Carlo Felice), which is busy all day being so close to the Porta Nuova station. Check-in and check-out were fast, service is efficient, and breakfast is good.||There were a few things we found that could be improved upon though:|* The room was very noisy all through the night|* The air conditioner is quite noisy - even on the lowest fan setting (actually helped to reduce the noise coming from the outside though!). It does keep the room cool however.|* There is no kettle in the room, and we had to ask for one - which we understand. However, on checking-out we were told that this carried a EUR 10 charge. We didn't mind the fee, but we could have been told beforehand that it was not free. After all, we have been in many hotels and we always found (at least) a kettle in the room. We didn’t even use the teabags provided with the kettle, we used our own… It looked like a cheap plastic travel kettle.|* The bathroom needs at least one other towel hanger for a hand towel. The soap dispenser was located directly over a power outlet and a couple of feet away from the sink. Also, no bin liners were provided, which is quite unsanitary. The toilet is quite uncomfortable, being so high off the ground (and I’m not that short at 181cm).|* The television antenna cord was disconnected when we first got into the room, small thing that was easily fixed, but this could have been checked before new guests enter the room (the cable was literally dangling).|* The chairs provided in the room are nice, but need maintenance. The joints need to be re-glued as all the pieces were coming loose whenever you just sat on the chairs. |* No safe in the room|* The napkins provided during breakfast are the type you get when buying ice cream in a gelateria, small, and don’t really do the job. ||Overall a good hotel, and I wouldn’t mind staying there again, but with a little more attention to detail it could have been a much better experience.

Arrived from the airport at the main train station and dandered 75 meters across the road to the entrance of the hotel Roma, we were warmly greeted by a lady and gentleman who checked us in and literally one minute later we had our room keys and were on our way to our room (room285). The corridor to our room had a clear line across the floor where carpet ended and a hard floor surface began, it was obvious renovations were in progress.|Our room had that recently renovated/decorated look and smell about it and was an absolute delight, I opened the floor to ceiling double doors and was greeted by a large room length balcony whice give me a great view of the hustle and bustle going on in Turins city centre.|After unpacking we headed back down to the reception area and had a quick look around this beautiful building before heading out and starting our Turin adventure. We were back in the hotel around 11-30pm and sat down in the reception area and were asked if we'd like a nightcap from the bar, to which we replied yes. Can I just say the hotel bar prices were very competitive with the city bars and restaurants.|We had a great nights sleep in our cosy air conditioned room and awoke next morning and headed down to the first floor for breakfast and were delighted once again by the variety and selection of fresh and cooked food on offer. We stayed four nights and each day/night was a faultless experience and can't speak highly enough regarding all the staff members we encountered.|This was our first visit to Turin and we will be back and would not even consider staying anywhere other than the ROMA hotel.|Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Out of the 100s of hotels I've stayed at, this is the worst and a giant scam. In the photos for the room we booked, it had hardwood floors and a clean bedroom/bathroom. Instead, we got a room with old, dirty carpet and the bathroom's disgusting. I'll break it down into 3 categories for ease: Cleaniness, Comfort, Safety. Cleanliness: There are stains everywhere in the toilet, like on the sink. And the shower, instead of a glass barrier, is a 3-sided curtain. The shower is very cramped, so as soon as you turn the shower on, the curtain collapses on you and you get hugged by mildew and bacteria. There's also a bunch of mildew/mold on the shower curtains, as is common, but the problem here is that it is cramped so you will keep rubbing it against yourself while showering. Once you survive the shower and step out of it, you'll realize the floor is all wet, because the shower curtain does a poor job of blocking the water, so water will get everywhere on the floor and every time you use the restroom (until the next cleaning), you'll be stepping on either puddles of water or wet towels. Comfort: After you shower, you notice the room is very hot despite outside being quite cold. So, you open the window to let cool air in because there's no AC. There's a problem though which is that it's *extremely* noisy. Drunks will yell/sing deep into the night. And last night, they kept singing loudly until 2AM. The courtyard carries noise very well so the drunken, off-tune singing gets channeled extremely loudly, directly into the room. So you close your window and say to yourself, "OK I'll just be hot and try to sleep, at least it's better than hearing very loud drunk noises the whole night." Well, too bad. The windows are single-paned so you still hear people outside very clearly. Miraculously, the people outside stopped singing and you can finally go to sleep, right? Haha, wrong again! The walls are paper thin so you can clearly hear pipes running, which neighbor is showering, what TV shows they're watching, and anyone walking around upstairs. This place is hell and being deprived of sleep is a form of torture. Safety: Inside the hotel is fine. But outside can be quite sketch at night, as is the case near any train station. As the faucets in the bathroom is quite leaky, floors can get slippery if you do not turn off the shower and sink faucets with a vice grip. Could be a hazard there. In Summary: This place has free breakfast! But you'll be fighting tooth and nail with other guests for juice and scrambled eggs, which disappear in seconds when they come out. We booked this place shoulder season, and we didn't even book the cheapest room.

Extremely disappointing experience – unacceptable hygiene issue and poor customer service. My friend and I had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Roma in May 2025. Upon check-in, my friend found the bathroom in her room unusable due to a severe sewage leak, with dirty water coming from the toilet. Despite immediately informing the reception, no alternative room was provided due to overbooking. The only solution offered was to use the public restrooms in the lobby – even during the night, which is simply unacceptable in a hotel of this category. To make things worse, the following morning, the deputy manager was dismissive, impolite, and even suggested the problem might have been caused by my friend – a well-travelled professional and international guest – which we found offensive and inappropriate. Although a full refund was initially promised, the hotel later denied it through Booking.com. Communication with management lacked empathy, and the response we received blamed the guest rather than taking accountability. This incident has caused considerable discomfort and embarrassment, and it speaks volumes primarily about the lack of service culture, hygiene standards, and respect for guests' dignity. It also made me wonder: would the hotel management have handled the matter in the same dismissive and accusatory tone if we had been men instead of women? The attitude we encountered raises troubling questions. I cannot recommend this hotel and would advise other international travelers to look elsewhere for a more reliable and respectful hospitality experience.

I had to book on the fly a stay in Turin and this hotel covered me way better than i expected. I totally recommend this hotel to anyone visiting turin. Below you can see details of my experience. Customer Service: they helped me with all my needs, they even offered extra help for things they could easily have charged Also they refunded a day i incorrectly paid and provided me guidance on how to get rooms available The people that work here are very caring, if someone is having a bad day, please don't throw it on them, because they work to serve very well Price: good considering demanded location Location: literal heart of the city, nothing else to say Cleaning: I booked two different rooms, and both were very well cleaned, floor, glasses, bed, the cleaning team deserves Hotel style: it has all you expect for a classical old school italian structure, with an amazing lounge and the rooms are well preserved and intelligently adapted to modern times Environment: the hotel really care about earth and has messages everywhere providing information in how to help saving on paper, cloth, bottles, water, and other things people usually don't care because "i'm paying"

Great location, great hotel although the rooms could use some adjusting to the post 1990 era. No breakfast due to a national holiday with no discount but they did charge extra for two small bottles of water that we got instead.
