First, the good:||Staff was kind and professional, I have never found the reception office to be empty. ||Barely noticed the cleaning crew, but the room was cleaned consistently. The interface for interacting with staff was seamless and convenient. One person actually refused a tip until after she has cleaned my room. Odd, but admirable.||Restaurant has quality coffee machines in place of a generic pot (as is customary in the area). ||Restaurant service is top notch, I couldn’t even leave a tip under a dirty dish because those were instantly removed.||There’s two elevators and the stairs are quickly accessible.||Now, the bad:||Hotel room had two small blankets instead of a large one, which would barely be enough for one tall person, let alone a couple. We were two tall people struggling to stay covered. Reception responded that that’s the only size they have and perhaps I should consider shopping for blankets independently.||The room safe box locks and unlocks with a dedicated card. Unfortunately, there is no suitable solution for two people using the safe: you can get two cards, but only one of them will unlock the safe. Not a giant deal, but an annoying issue to face for sure. The receptionist seemed to think every card unlocks every safe, which would be baffling.||Hot water ran out quickly, but the issue was fixed the next day after notifying staff.||Parking is a bit of a walk away (a trade off for the prime location of the hotel itself) and could use a quick access elevator to the hotel proper.||All in all, I’m somewhat surprised Romance rates so highly relatively to other hotels in the area. I’ve stayed in 3 or 4 over the past decade and literally NONE of them had these issues.
