Hotel Romania

The interior is a bit dated, but it's all very clean. AC was nice and cool, but also very loud after running for a while, not great for the sleep. Breakfast was not very good, coffee tastes terrible. Staff was very nice and helpful!

I really recommend. The location is excellent, quiet, directly above the city, close to Teplá river just in front of the Thermal Hotel. The room was not big, but simple and very clean. The staff at the reception were not very informative (eg. parking). The hotel doen't have its parking places, you can park on the street or nearby and you have to pay for it. We had a delicious and plentiful breakfast there.

First time stay here and very impressed The lady on reception is with out doubt one of the nicest receptionist I have met so helpful and very polite The hotel is a old building but very modern inside the single room is a good size plenty of room mini fridge plenty of hanging and storage space large bathroom the only thing missing from bathroom was shampoo it just has bar soap but no points off for this very clean breakfast was included and there was a great choice The hotel well located 10 min from Train station and same to bus stop as well plenty of cafes and shops at you door the outfront of the hotel is a restaurant so be careful you don't pass it well worth the money very happy stay Internet also good and 10% discount if you eat at restaurant out front as it's part of hotel

The hotel service was acceptable clean room with comfortable bed. The only issue is that if you want to have the good view to the street side you have to pay more otherwise you just see the ugly wall. There is near parking place is not very pleasant. So I will take one start because that. The food quality was good. The breakfast is fine the only problem is that there is no many different type of the bread and coffee. You just have two options. This is what I expected more.

Great location: 7min to bus station, 2min to Elizabeth spa, 3min to villa and other shops. 3min to the river and park, 10min to colonnades...|Comfortable: room is spacious, view was excellent. (just note there is no hairdryer in room)|Breakfast was very good, having everything needed. The same restaurant has a lovely menu for lunch and dinner and the food was quickly served and it was tasteful. |Helpful: we had a voucher for discount at the Elizabeth spa, and we were eligible for a discount in the restaurant of the hotel. They took care of calling a taxi to the bus station and making all the follow up.|WiFi was great.|Communicating in English is not as perfect as in prague which makes some people seem to be not friendly; just be patient and don't take thgs personal.|I recommended hotel Romania to our friends for a stay in Karlovy Vary.

Wonderful 125 year old hotel at reasonable prices in the heart of Karlsbad. A short walk to the spas, a little farther to the bar at Hotel Pupp. Staff are incredibly nice, excellent restaurant and amazing buffet breakfast, savory and sweet. Dog friendly. The most comfortable bed we’ve encountered. Room 24, nice balcony over river. Can’t recommend highly enough, would come back just to stay here.

Nice light room, well furnished in a more traditional style. Included comfy chair, fridge and key safe. free in-room wifi.||||Friendly staff. English speaking was limited, but adequate for basic needs. In Karlovy Vary it is generally well behind Czech, Russian and German.||||Good all day restaurant and nice breakfast.||||Located right next to main post office in the heart of town. This puts it at one end of the resort area but it's only 5-10 minutes walk to the heart of the resort and a similar distance, in the other direction, to the Jan Becher museum, stations and bus terminal.
