We had a wonderful one-night stay at this charming small hotel. It felt more like a cozy bed and breakfast with its serene and peaceful ambiance. The room was simple but spotless, ensuring a comfortable night's rest. Breakfast was a delightful surprise—simple yet satisfying, catering to all tastes. Perfect retreat for those seeking a quiet getaway. Highly recommend!

This is a very good hotel, one of the best in Eger. The rooms are nice and comfortable, much larger than the usual box rooms of an average hotel. The breakfast room has a great atmosphere and the breakfast itself is tasty and plentyful. The location of the hotel is perfect as you only need to walk down the street to be right in the center. I have always been treated kindly here and the reception is polite and forthcoming with requests.

Really good hotel with very friendly staff, with cute romantic rooms at the good location! With beautiful courtyard and nice balcony with lovely scenery! Very quiet, nice equipment and atmosphere! We spent there two nights! And it was super, that we found such beautiful place! Just love this hotel!!!

I stayed for a week in November. I chose this hotel mainly because of the free parking being available, which it was for my entire stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi was fast and reliable. The room was adequate - nothing special. The bathroom was a bit gloomy, but okay. Not having a kettle provided to make a coffee was a major drawback. Breakfast was exactly what you'd expect. Overall, it was alright and good value for what I paid.

We very much enjoyed our three-night stay at the Hotel Romantik. Our room on the third floor was comfortable and quiet. As some reviews have noted, the rooms have older furniture. The bathrooms have been updated. Think “old school bed and breakfast,” and you’ll understand the ambience. The friendly staff, who speak excellent English, were always ready to help. Breakfast is served in a lovely, garden-view room. This hotel is not a good choice for those who have difficulty climbing stairs, as all the guest rooms are up at least one flight of stairs. It is handy for those who like to walk, as the pedestrian zone of central Eger is just down the hill. It is conveniently located next door to the popular Egri Road Beatles Museum, and since there are signs around town that point the way to the museum, it is easy to find the way back to the hotel! The “Valley of the Beautiful Woman” (the site of many famous wine cellars and restaurants) is about a 25-minute walk from the hotel. We were able to walk to a bus stop a few blocks from the hotel where we could catch a bus to Budapest. It should be noted that the fare had to be purchased from the driver using exact change. Eger is a wonderful destination, and if we return, we’d like to stay again at the Hotel Romantik.

The staff were very friendly and we could leave the key with them, which made the logistics of who had the key and when they were going to get back to the hotel very straightforward. The breakfast was really good, a small buffet style and you could request eggs to be made for you. The breakfast area was very nice. Overall, I found the hotel to be clean and the stay pleasant. Would recommend! And very close to the center of Eger as well!

Lovely hotel which is in the center. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean and breakfast was good. Only problem is voice isolation between rooms. You can hear everything from other rooms like flashing toilet, having shower or watching TV. It is hard if your neighbours are doing these activities in the middle of night.

This was our third visit to this hotel. It is quaint and at walking distance from the city centre. Its interior is plain but nicely done. The staff is helpful.||However, this time, we were somewhat disappointed. We were given room #16, which is a bit small (almost crammed) and which has no air conditioning, only a noisy swinging fan. Day temperatures well above 30C and 25+C inside the room made my night uncomfortable.||The breakfast seemed to have fallen victim to cost savings. The sliced bread was not fresh, the meats and cheese were tasteless and there was no butter (only a 'spread', whatever that may be).||Considering all, a EUR 65 price per night for a small double room is very well paid.||For our next visit to Eger, we will probably be looking for another hotel.
