Hotel Rondinella Locarno

Excellent stay in Locarno – great service and wonderful staff! I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel in Locarno and was especially satisfied with the service, location, and the comfort of the room. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as expected. What made the stay truly memorable was the exceptional hospitality of Giovanna – she was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional throughout. She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect – a real asset to the hotel team! I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back.

Disappointing small, basic but clean room. To take in the view one has to sit on the balcony and look past other guests/balconies. Deceptive description unless you read the fine print how the lovely man pointed out whilst checking us in. |The worst thing about this place though is the noise. The traffic noise is intense and some humming noise that came from a big motor, maybe an aircon, as it turned on and off constantly day and night, not sure exactly what it is,  but it kept us awake most of the night, as it was not only a noise but we could actually FEEL the vibration through our pillows!!! |On the second night we were forced to listen to a rock concert until midnight too, and this was on a Thursday.|No coffee/tea making facility in the room. No power sockets near the bed.  Also, the tap water has a bad taste and there is a terrible sewage smell in the lower corridors.|Unfortunately we cannot recommend this place as we wished we had stayed in a different, better establishment and we will certainly choose elsewhere when we next return to beautiful Locarno and so should you if you value your sleep!

Super nice hotel with friendly staff. We stayed with our dog and we had no issues. Breakfast was pretty good for the price

Great hotel, worth the money, a basic room but spotless and everything you need. Clean bathroom. Great views over the lake from the balcony. Perfect breakfast with lots of options, and the most friendly and welcoming staff! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Locarno.

This little hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are quite comfortable and the view is absolutely amazing despite being a 2 star hotel, hence why I put a 5 star for the room. The service was particularly good. The lady on reception was very accomodating and helpful. Nothing was a problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Locarno.

Basic Hotel with everything you need. I had a single bed room with a nice balcony partly overlooking the lake. Room is basic and dated, but everything works and bed was comfy. You get what you pay for. Breakfast was good and staff very helpfull

Hotel is good, room is nice, bed is comfortable. Overall OK, definitely good price/quality ratio. As a field for improvement let me put: - staff speaks no English, what in touristic place gives automatically one star less - lack of possibility of making coffee in the room - lack of vegetables during breakfast (maybe due to covid) - air condition with no possibility to turn on (this might be my fault as didn't ask reception for remote control. But it should be in the room)

This hotel has a fantastic location: 5 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes from the lake and boats, 5 minutes to the historical centre.||||Rooms are spacious and very clean. All rooms have balconies with at least partial lake view with table and chairs where you can enjoy a drink while observing the boats on the lake and the mountains behind. The owners are very friendly, jump with easy between various languages and answer all questions. Breakfast is a good spread with a variety of cereals, cut meats and cheeses, pastries, bread, fruit, eggs, jams, yogurts. Really enjoyed our time there and will definately book the same hotel next time we are in Locarno.
