Hotel Rondinella Locarno

This little hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are quite comfortable and the view is absolutely amazing despite being a 2 star hotel, hence why I put a 5 star for the room. The service was particularly good. The lady on reception was very accomodating and helpful. Nothing was a problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Locarno.

Basic Hotel with everything you need. I had a single bed room with a nice balcony partly overlooking the lake. Room is basic and dated, but everything works and bed was comfy. You get what you pay for. Breakfast was good and staff very helpfull

Hotel is good, room is nice, bed is comfortable. Overall OK, definitely good price/quality ratio. As a field for improvement let me put: - staff speaks no English, what in touristic place gives automatically one star less - lack of possibility of making coffee in the room - lack of vegetables during breakfast (maybe due to covid) - air condition with no possibility to turn on (this might be my fault as didn't ask reception for remote control. But it should be in the room)

We were visiting from Canada and really enjoyed our stay. We were able to communicate with the staff in either French or English considering we don't speak German or Italian. ||||They were very accommodating, helping us find specific items in town and letting us use their printer. ||The breakfast was fresh and very tasty. It's also located in a cozy room with great views off the balcony. ||Our only complaint is the noise from outside. We enjoy having our windows open at night. Since we are so close to the street and a restaurant the cars and people tended to be a bit loud on the weekend. ||The bedroom sizes are good, smaller than the typical Canadian but not at all uncomfortable. They are also very clean. The hotel is also located next to the water and less then a 5 minute walk to the train station and city center. ||Really a great hotel that felt very welcoming !

Perfect location, a stones throw from the boat dock, funicular, bus/train station, lake front and centre.|Reasonable price, spotlessly clean, comfortable and functional, with good air con and balcony.|A perfect base to explore the area. |One drawback, despite really good sound insulation the Moon & Stars Festival did affect our last nights sleep.

This hotel has a fantastic location: 5 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes from the lake and boats, 5 minutes to the historical centre.||||Rooms are spacious and very clean. All rooms have balconies with at least partial lake view with table and chairs where you can enjoy a drink while observing the boats on the lake and the mountains behind. The owners are very friendly, jump with easy between various languages and answer all questions. Breakfast is a good spread with a variety of cereals, cut meats and cheeses, pastries, bread, fruit, eggs, jams, yogurts. Really enjoyed our time there and will definately book the same hotel next time we are in Locarno.

Just minutes away from the train station and just across the street from the Lago Maggiore. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. The terrace have chairs and a table to have a relaxing time while enjoying the view of the mountains, lake and the life style of the Italian-Swiss . Breakfast is included and you have a selection of a typically Swiss breakfast inclusive Birchermuesli. It is not the first time we went and I only can highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Hotel Rondinella in Locarno. This is a nice family hotel, located not far from the train station and the port and with views onto the Lake. ||The rooms are very nice and very clean. There is everything you need and although there is no air conditioning, a fan helps you get through the hot days. ||Staff is extremely friendly, warm and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. A nice hotel in Locarno.
