We loved our week-long stay at Hotel Rosenvilla! Even before we arrived, the communication with the hotel was great—they reached out several times with useful information, including a list of options for New Year’s Eve since most hotels and restaurants require advance booking. They helped us book a nearby option that was so fun and had a great view of the fireworks at midnight. On the first morning after we arrived, my son texted me from the breakfast room saying “The breakfast is spectacular!” Every single person who worked there was so nice and so helpful, but a special shout out to Kenzo at the front desk. He was very professional, but also a lot of fun to talk to. He helped us with several nearby restaurant recommendations—was nice to have these alternatives in addition to the options in the old town. The rooms were very comfortable and well-equipped but were about to go under renovation as we left—so I expect they will be even nicer when that is complete. We’ll definitely come back and stay again!

Very helpful staff: we had a lot of luggage. Overall: very nice people. Could park in front of the hotel (free). Pet welcome (no charge). The room was spacious, super clean and cosy. Pretty modern too: they give you an iPad you can set up your own room temperature with it. You can also discover all the Salzburg attractions/landmarks with it. Also a very cute boutique hotel, with a little pond and flowers. We had a coffee machine in the bedroom. The bathroom is not super big but very practical and super clean. Nothing negative to say but if you guys would update your mattresses to something sicker and more comfy it would be awesome.

This hotel was amazing. The beds were the most comfortable in all of Europe. And we travel a lot. They had robes and slippers. They also did laundry. All of the staff and front desk people were so lovely and helpful. The hotel was very clean and had unique rooms. Really close to public transportation. 10/10 would recommend and stay again.

The Hotel Rosenvilla surpassed my expectations. I only stayed two nights and I really hated to leave. As you can see from the many mentions in these reviews, the breakfast is phenomenal. There are a variety of special local items, plus cooked to order eggs. Weather permitting, the outside dining area is a beautiful and relaxing setting to start your day. My room was very comfortably laid out, including a generous balcony overlooking the garden and koi pond. All the fixtures and furnishings are quality, in perfect repair, and spotless. The amenities are well done... Robes/slippers, expresso machine, electric blinds, mini bar with a nice selection of glasses. Everything to make you feel comfortable and a bit pampered, including top notch service from every staff member. The only small sacrifice, it's a short but pleasant 10 minutes walk to the Altstadt, or a quick bus ride. It is, however, more quiet than an Altstadt location. All in all, a great experience for a fair price. It's definitely my Salzburg go-to in the future.

Located about 20 minutes walk from Old Town, Rosenvilla benefits from free parking and not having to navigate the city traffic. ||Staff were friendly and helpful both before and during our stay.||We didn’t realise at the time of booking, but Rosenvilla is part of the same group as Hotel Rathaus in Vienna which we stayed at several years ago. Both hotels have a lovely boutique feel to them.||Our room on the second room was a ‘Comfort’ class room which was well laid out and had wireless phone chargers in the bedside table - a nice feature! Being on the upper floor it did mean we needed to remember to duck our heads when getting in/out of bed as the ceiling followed the roofline.||We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel (instead we went to a local bakery around 10 mins walk away), so can’t comment on that. I did pop my head into the restaurant in the morning and it looked like a nice setup though.||Definitely recommend Hotel Rosenvilla if you’re visiting Salzburg. It’s far enough out of town to be quiet at night and close enough to walk (or get bus number 7) into the city to see the sights and explore.

I spent two nights at this charming hotel in April 2024. It was my second visit to Salzburg in 16 years, and I decided to return to the Rosenvilla Hotel, where I stayed previously. They have done some upgrades and renovations to the decor and furniture since my last visit, and I was pleased to see they are now using solar power to be more environmentally friendly. However, what impressed me the most was the continued excellent service. The staff were all very attentive and genuinely focused on making my stay in Salzburg as enjoyable as possible.||One highlight of my stay was the delicious breakfast served at the hotel—it was the best breakfast I had during my trip. I even requested to stay in the same single room I had enjoyed during my visit in the summer of 2007, and the staff kindly accommodated my request, which made me very happy.||This is my favourite hotel of this trip and I will definitely come back to this hotel again whenever I'm back to Salzburg.

Stayed at Rosenvilla Hotel for two nights in April 2024, my second visit to Salzburg in 16 years. The hotel's recent upgrades and eco-friendly approach impressed me, but it was the outstanding service that stood out the most. The staff were attentive and genuinely aimed to make my stay enjoyable. The breakfast was a highlight of the trip, and they even granted my request to stay in the same room I loved during my previous visit in 2007. Note: No elevator, so special assistance may be needed for those with mobility issues.

Yelp
This is a great, cute little hotel. We arrived early, and they were very accommodating and able to get our room ready very quickly. The room had a nice balcony. The hotel is a nice 20 min walk to the city, or the bus stop is right outside the hotel. And the hotel also sells the bus tickets. I would like to note that the hotel does not have air conditioning, so if you're going when it is warmer, the only air is from the open windows.
