Hotel Rössli Interlaken

We had a very pleasant 3-night stay from Nov 27–30, 2025. The receptionist was warm and welcoming, clearly explaining the room keys, hotel facilities, and the complimentary city pass for local buses and trains. The hotel is older but very cozy. Our room was very clean and spacious enough for three people. The location is also excellent—just a short 5-minute walk to Interlaken West station and within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. We met Jean-Louis at breakfast and he was wonderful with our family. He offered our daughter coloring pages and even shared some bread, despite us not having the breakfast package. Every morning he greeted guests with genuine kindness and friendly conversation. If we return to Interlaken, we’d gladly stay at Hotel Rössli again. We stayed 5 days at the hotel and had a wonderful experience. The hotel management and staff were all genuinely warm and welcoming and made sure we had everything we required to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel is old but clean and very cosy. The family room we had was spacious enough to accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids. The hotel is conveniently located, a short 5mins walk from the train station or the main shopping/restaurant strip. We will most likely stay again next time we are visiting Interlaken.

Our stay at Hotel Rössli was truly memorable, thanks to the incredible hospitality of the host, Jean-Louis. At the time of the breakfast, he interacted with every guest with genuine passion and made us feel at home. One of the highlights was the thoughtful souvenir with personal touch — a beautifully crafted video about Switzerland, made by Jean-Louis and his son. The rooms only has fans inside, no AC, but the weather outside helped us stay cool, so no complaints there. The hotel was clean. While the hotel is older, it carries a distinct charm and identity that adds to its character. The warmth and friendliness of the staff, especially Jean-Louis's personal touch, made our experience absolutely worthwhile. Although we were here only for 2 days, we were out for the day post breakfast. The receptionist also helped us on how to reach the places that we planned to visit near Interlaken.

In these times of shrinking incomes and inflationary prices it’s nice to see that the 2 star Hotel Rössli has maintained its traditional Swiss family run charm and first class service. |Its quiet and convenient location is only a five minute level walk from Interlaken West railway/Bus/Boat Interchange. The hotel guest card enables bus/train transport within Interlaken and provides discounts at participating shops and attractions. |The hotel is an unpretentious, cosy, clean, place that provides simply furnished rooms with comfortable beds, TV’s, USB charging points and essential facilities.|There’s a free 24 hour coffee/tea/microwave and shared fridge, plus crockery/cutlery available in the ground floor lounge enabling guests to bring in food/drinks from the convenient Coop about 150m away. There are several restaurants within a few minutes’ walk.|Breakfasts are continental buffet style with the addition of yummy bacon and scrambled eggs, locally sourced products plus tea/coffee served at your table by friendly staff. Jean Louis frequents the breakfast room, providing humorous comments to raise your spirits and dispensing useful travel wisdom for his new guests.|Christopher (Jean Louis’ son) and his multilingual reception team are very friendly, helpful and can provide advice, travel tips and tickets for most local attractions.|Other Hotel features include:|1. Free Wi-Fi and Parking.|2. Ground floor lounge with TV.|3. 1st floor lounge with children’s play area, laptop with Internet and large TV.|4. Pay As You Go laundry facility.|5. Storage room for luggage, bikes, skis etc.|I have stayed here many times and can highly recommend it for its friendly, homely ambience, excellent service and reasonable pricing. I hope to return again soon.

Hotel Rössli is a charming, family run hotel in the heart of Interlaken. The location was super convenient to enjoy the beautiful mountains and stunning Swiss scenery. Our room was comfortable with a lovely balcony and fabulous views. Hotel Rossli's facilities were second to none! Guest areas included lounge, dining and kitchen facilities, microwave, fridge, plates and cutlery which was very much appreciated. The breakfast was also great! So many choices! We spent three nights in this lovely hotel. Our room is small but cosy. It is functional and we can see the thoughful efforts by the host to install small fittings for convenience. Hot water is good. Jean Louise is a passionate and humourous host who makes an effort to greet, serve and engage with every guest every morning during breakfast. This dedication to hospitality is admirable. Perfect hotel for our trip! The room was small but for us it was a perfect size! The shower was perfect! The water stayed hot. The windows in the room was perfect to keep the room cool. They provide a fan but we didnt need it. Theres a 24 hour sitting room that provides tea and coffee which we used every single day! We spent our day exploring the interlaken area so we weren't in the hotel much but when we were, we didnt want to leave. The check in and check out was easy and fast. The luggage drop off was convenient and beneficial. Close to the interlaken west hbf and bus stops.

Surprised it’s only a two star as from our experience it definitely more than 3 stars! Super friendly staff made us feel very welcomed from the moment we entered the hotel. The room is spacious with a beautiful view, very clean too. The 24 hour access common area is awesome, with a variety of tea and coffee available, plus microwave which is super handy. It’s super close to the Interlaken West Station and there’s a supermarket nearby. We were driving so CHF 5/day for parking. More importantly, it’s the hospitality and the warm fuzzy cosy vibes, that we really enjoyed. Thank you especially to Jean-Louis, who’s very generous and kind, always checked in with us to see if we have everything we need every time we see each other. Will be back when we visit Switzerland next time for sure!
