Hotel Route Inn Takaoka Ekimae

We had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Route Inn Takaoka Ekimae, located right next to Takaoka Station — the location couldn't be more convenient. The hotel itself is very clean and nicely decorated, creating a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, mostly Japanese but with other options as well. There was something for everyone, and it was a great way to start the day. Another fantastic feature of the hotel is the Bath area, separated into male and female sections. It’s similar to a traditional Japanese onsen, providing a perfect opportunity to relax and unwind — and it’s included in the room price. Although check-in is only available from 3:00 PM, we were able to leave our luggage at the reception earlier, which was very convenient. The receptionist didn’t speak much English, but we communicated easily using a translation app. Madam Siga from reception was incredibly kind and helpful — when she discovered that one of our friends had a birthday, thanks her the hotel surprised us by preparing a small birthday greeting in the room, along with some delicious chocolate treats. It was a simple gesture, but it meant a lot and brought so much joy to our friend. We’re truly happy we chose to stay here. It was a great experience, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Takaoka. Madam Siga from reception and all other staff, thank you for a great time in your wonderful hotel.

Near to station. Room was very small and pyjamas provided was very scratchy. Onsen was okay.

Nice, clean rooms and onsen. Very kind and helpful staff!!! Good location! Thank you so much. Very close to Takaoka Station. Less than 10 minute walk to the Big Buddha, Very good for the price.

When I find this hotel among hotels at the destination, I always choose this one as the hotel is normally clean , comfortable and the cost effective and what I like the most is that they normally has a public bath in the hotel which helps me relax after travels

The hotel is new and not far from Takaoka Station. Staff was very kind, and current discounts which I hadn't known about were offered lowering the cost of my stay by about ¥2,000. My box-type multi-purpose vehicle generally doesn't fit in automatic parking towers, but this facility could accomodate my van.

The internet via wifi doesn't work in the room, I had job to do on my laptop, but it wasn't possible. They got my name wrong on the reservation and it was difficult to check in.

Very small room. Quite expensive hotel.||Tiny bathroom. If you are bigger than 1m80.. Goodluck !!||||Nothing in English.||||Breakfast very limited.||The staff is speaking well English and very polite.||Location is very close to train station.

Small fir sure but it gives everything you need on a business trip. It has traveler hot spring, which is excellent!
