Hotel Route-Inn Tsuruoka Ekimae

Great location near the station with free parking. The staff were very helpful, and the breakfast was excellent—varied and changed slightly each day.

Same Rout-inn hotel different place. Clean room, bed is large enough, toilet and bathtub is small but a big spa is available. An issue to me is what the 2nd parking is so far, and no sign like "Rout-inn Hotel Parking". Free coffee is available in front of the reception. There is a small Izakaya bar in the hotel, where free breakfast is also available.

My god this place has an onsen, so already a huge bonus. :) location is really good and lots of isekayas around to drop by for beers and snacks. Also such an aesthetic suburban neighborhood. Family mart 350m away. The staff was super nice and helpful. Onsen has washing machine and dryer inside so I great bonus. Sadly the room had two major issues...the pillow were horrible, lumpy and you only get one! The second was the AC was quite old and really dehydrated me throughout the night. Woke up with a headache, 😔 But place still gets 4 stars because overall it was great!

The convenience of location, the staff friendliness, the onsen, the BREAKFAST 💖. Room is OK, normal sized for Japanese hotel and abit old but considering all other good things they offer, I would stay at this hotel again.

Location: 3 minutes walk from JR Tsuruoka train station in a mixed commercial and residential area. Not heavily populated as the central core Tsuruoka is few kilometers south from this hotel. Convenient for train travelers, but not for Tsuruoka core city life culture seekers (though there are some reataurants nearby that serve local foods).||||Interior Decor: Fairly modern, but not fancy. Simple and functional. Slightly better than average.||||Exterior Appearance: Medium size hotel near JR Tsuruoka train station. Average. 10 floors.||||Outside view from the room I stayed at (911): Tsuruoka city center and mountains in the background. Good.||||Room Size: Approximately 16 square meters. Small. Bathroom is also small.||||Room Cleanness: Spotlessly clean. Great job!||||Price and Value: Cost performance wise, very good. It certainly saves time for being located near the train station for the train travelers. For amenities offered, the price setting is adequate.||||Services: Simple complimentary breakfast. Free wi-fi. ||||Bathroom: Very small. ||||Bed: Medium softness. 140cm width.

I always select this hotel chain in case they have common bath(in many cases so).||Quite near the Tsuruoka Station. The breakfast is not too much but good.You can visit historic spots just walking 30--40minutes from the hotel.

I always feel at home when I came to Hotel Route Inn, I guess because everything is the same, the art on the walls, the music in the lift, the wifi password. A bit like McDonalds haha. One thing that was a little different today was the breakfast, I think the managers from the other Route Inns should came and stay here and try the breakfast, the offerings were much more interesting and tasty than what I have had at the other Route Inns I've stayed at. Can I also mention the young woman on the front desk, she is so strong, she lifted my heavy bag with ease.

Very nice clean basic rooms with great staff, breakfast ok. Dead easy to find from train station its litterally just to the left of the station. Only reason I have it 4 not 5 star was cause it actually is right near the train station also. I was on second floor on train side. Trains were very easy to hear and I am a light sleeper. Luckily being a little remote they are not very frequent. Over all great hotel and happily suggest you will have a good stay.
