Hotel Royal

Royal is such an amazing hotel, so stylish, and a great atmosphere. rooms are super nice. It's based in the city centre next to the church and the open square - close to everything. The service is very good, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing, and with a nice range of e.g. cheese, eggs, juice etc. we have been here before, and surely - we will be back.!

A truly iconic hotel with timeless charm. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with cozy beds, a lovely view, and beautiful historic character. The staff were warm and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Royal for a couple of nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is located in an elegant and charming neighborhood, making it both visually appealing and easy to access. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was seamless, and we were immediately impressed by the exceptional hospitality of the staff. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, offering assistance with anything we needed and providing thoughtful recommendations to enhance our stay. Their genuine warmth and attention to detail made us feel truly valued as guests. Our room, while not particularly spacious, was impeccably clean and thoughtfully appointed to maximize comfort. The high standard of housekeeping was evident throughout our stay, contributing to an overall sense of relaxation and ease. In summary, our experience at Hotel Royal was thoroughly enjoyable, and we would not hesitate to return on a future visit. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and a prime location makes this hotel a wonderful choice.

Disappointing experience. DON'T EVER GO THERE! Bad hygiene : please see the layer of dust on the safe. The rooms are old, and equipments such as showers are terribly old. Breakfast was complete caos. All cups, dishes, folk and knives were dirty with food residues. Don't understand how they can serve these for breakfast service. The receptionist and the waitresses at breakfast were all very serviced minded. But that does not change the fact that the hotel interior are outdated and broken. (The bathroom door cannot be closed without you slamming it).

we normally stay at the Atlantis across the road and wanted to check out the new royal,|The outside is amazing and very innovative of course and the view and rooms are new and shiny and spectacular the hotel is really big and reminded me a bit of a luxury mall. It has excellent eateries and luxury designer shops but we all felt happier at the Atlantis.

Stayed at the king suite. Nice charming and elegant hotel. If you are very sensitive to noise then note this part of town is more loud than other areas during Friday and Saturday. The rooms themselves were fairly well noise insulated.

Very beautiful location at the heart of Århus. For some strange reason we had the bar completely for ourselves, which was nice. The smart-tv hooked up to our Netflix and Youtube accounts.

The completely upgraded and renovated Hotel Royal in the heart of Aarhus, was such a great experience to us. |Spacious nice room, super service from a smiling teams and wonderful breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance from everything and offers valet service on the car, they’ll take care of the car and bring it back when you want it. If your going to stay in Aarhus don't mess around, this place is great. The prices are competitive with other lesser quality hotels. Its right in the center of town across from the Cathedral. A short walk to the train station, tons of shopping and eating and right near the canal. There is quality inside and out, from the beautiful historic Elevator in the lobby to the mural covered walls depicting danish history to the finely appointed rooms and en-suite baths. I had a standard single which was one of their smaller rooms and it was fine. I never felt cramped. There's no noise issues. The included Breakfast offered an extensive selection of delicious food. I have stayed here twice (appox 20 days) and would definitely stay again.

This 175 years old hotel is very unique in its own way. Walls were painted during 2005(?) renovation by local artist...it's amazing every common area has Danish history painted. How you take it is completely up to you, but at beginning I was a little creeped. Room is descent size, especially for building of this age. My room was a twin, bed was comfortable but only one small pillow. Work desk has pretty of space to sores laptop, note pad, etc. Shower and toilet are right next to beach other separated by very tiny glass wall, and almost impossible to keep shower water from spreading to the toilet area, not smart design. Room is covered with many painting, decoration, etc. a little overwhelming. Internet connection was superb. Make sure you obtain password at front. Breakfast was good, had patently of selection that you would expect from any hotel with. Choice of hot meal and cold. I think they are all home made...breads were really good. Fitness center was nicely equipped with cardio machine and pretty of free weights. The downside was I couldn't control room temp and was warm, had to open window all night. Parking is difficult (also the city was going through huge construction everywhere so I just couldn't get to hotel). Overall this is a very nice little hotel and would recommend.

Super friendly staff, seriously historic location, and huge spacious rooms. The bathroom was the size of a NYC entire hotel room! It's centrally located to cafes, shopping and dining. It's a walkable and easily bikes city and this is a top choice above all others.

Had a friend and his son from the States stay here during a visit and they liked the place, and they've stayed in a lot of hotels across Europe, the U.S., and Canada. Seemed very nice when I stopped by and conveniently located for us. Staff was very friendly and dealt with his autistic son exceptionally well. Friend said he'd stay here again if/when he comes back. Will think about this place when my own family come to visit and I'm not up to being around them all day & night.
