Hotel Royal Chateau

Pros: Quiet location in town. A basic breakfast was included. 3 people for $74 USD. Air conditioning is strong. Hot water with good pressure. Good parking on site. Cons: Room had cobwebs, wifi was weak and sporadic on the second floor corner room, floor was dirty, bed was uncomfortably hard. Shower drain was plugged. Sheet for large bed barely could cover 2 people.

Simple and nice. Plenty of secure parking and security 24/7. The Nicaraguan style breakfast is prefect and filling. Coffee is ready for you before breakfast and gives you the great start that we all need. It is back away from the beach 300 meters or so, just guessing. If you like lots of noise at night while you're trying to sleep, then this is not the place for you.

Excellent Service, peace, security and over all excellent location to walk to the beach only 3 blocks from the Beach.. I definitely recommend this place to stay with families and Friends…. Enjoy your Vacations Time at San Juan del Sur.

This place is pretty cute and even has gated parking, which added to a secure feeling. From the street, it reminds me of something one would see in New Orleans with its shuttered windows. They made us breakfast each day, and it was good. The rooms were clean and the shower had plenty of hot water. The air conditioning was so good, I had to request a blanket; they brought me a lovely quilt to use. I don't understand their not providing beach towels, but this was certainly not a deal-breaker. It's in a good location three or four blocks from the beach, just to the left side of the church.

Great hotel, and one of the few in Nicaragua that has hot water in the shower. Also, in san Juan there are many water supply issues, but this hotel had its own water reservoir, so it wasn't affected at all. Very recommended!

The hotel is in a great location, easy access to restaurants. ||Good price, however there was hair on the floor from the previous guest. Could do with a little better cleaning. Air conditioning worked well and was quiet. Nice hot and cold water. Breakfast is included and was good, people were friendly. Secure hotel.

For some reason, this hotel has an observation tower. This is probably the second best view point of the streets of SJS, after Mirador del Cristo de la Misericordia.||||We were there for New Year's, and coming from Canada, I had never seen so many fireworks all around me. The location made it perfect to spend that night, for two loners, as no one else seemed to want to watch the wonderful show.||||We spent three nights, mostly quiet, with A/C and a comfortable room. The price was higher than most other places around it, but it benefited from 24/7 security, a free and secure parking, and a great breakfast/coffee. It's also steps away from Calle Mercado, the most lively place in town after the beach. The town being roughly square and small, it was nice to be just outside of the bar area without being too far from the beach.

Good , especially the location is centre of the city. No swimming pool though. There are no chairs on the beach, it is not very appealing to swim, so a swimming pool would be nice. Rooms are air conditioned. Breakfast included, as usual no water provided like every where in Nicaragua. I downgraded to 3 stars due to dirty towels. I had left it on the floor to be replaced, it was folded back and left on my bed with the same dirt on it.
