We had a very good stay. It was off season so the personnel treated us like royalty. And we didn’t have to compete for attention. Clean and large room with everything we needed. |The only small complaint is that the premises were overheated. The radiator was turned off in our room and yet we had to keep the window open at all times. |Overall great two days at this hotel and we wouldn’t hesitate to return again…and again

Hotel Royal Crans-Montana||Hotel Royal is a gem hidden and tucked away from noise, crowds, located in front of the mountains and connected to a pedestrian wheelchair friendly footpath to the town of Montana.||The people of Hotel Royal made our stay enjoyable always ready to help with entry into and getting out of the hotel entry full of steps. The side entry allowed our wheelchair in and out of the hotel in discretion.||Our deluxe room with south balcony is spacious with a relaxing view of the mountains and trees.|The fourth floor was an excellent height. It only goes up to 5 floors.||The terraces outside, facing the mountains were also relaxing for lunch, drinks or simply enjoying.||The restaurant served excellent quality food with very reasonable prices. We chose lobster tails for our first lunch. Two delicious quality lobster tails with excellent tasting and well prepared kombu Japanese style seaweed and burette cheese. Our only concern is that the kombu is another meal by itself and was not compatible with the lobster tails. The burrata cheese was another meal by itself. So it was 3 separate meals in one meal. Too much for the lobster tails.||For our second meal we chose the fish entirely prepared in salt served for 2 persons. What a delight to have such a generous size fish, well prepared, accompanied with perfectly cooked|vegetables and potatoes. Simple flavouring and fresh tasting.||Breakfast was standard with a lot of sweet cake choices, however, additional costs to get an omelet or a few other things.||I read some reviews on the internet and it was sad to see how this hotel is under rated. Everything is clean, looking well kept with its abundant wood and refreshing atmosphere with relaxing views of the mountains and nature.||

Our room on 5th floor (top floor) had a fantastic view! Absolutely incredible to go on the balcony and see the Mont-Blanc!|Unfortunately you can forget nearly everything else. I wonder, how this hotel could still manage to keep 5 stars… such a pity actually, they need to invest and renew it (lift with grafiti, carpet with holes, cracked paint of the wall in the bathroom peeling away…) . The person who decorate the room must be blind, never seen in a 5* hotel with this lack of good taste, TV like in the 60’s… |Service? That is unknown. Reception guys (at least 2 of them) did not even bother to greet when you come. You have to greet first as a customner! (Remember officially 5 stars!!).|Breakfast: level boarding school and you can not have it outside. At least the young ladies of the breakfast room were really sweet.|Such a pity, to let this hotel die…

The hotel staff couldn’t do enough for us. We were all doing Wild Strubel mountain races, which means we all came into the hotel at funny times and in terrible states of exhaustion, and they were absolutely lovely and helpful and caring! Good, water, taxis to the airport. Nothing was impossible!||And the food, especially the pasta (made by Italians), was delicious. ||All staff speak many languages.

Immaculately clean, spacious rooms with very helpful and professional staff. They answered my many emailed questions promptly, and were very helpful with my daughter’s peanut allergy. We very much appreciated the prompt transfer from the funicular on a very hot day. The location is very close to shops, restaurants and the cable car.

We spent a really good week-end with my wife. The service is perfect and the statf is very kind and service oriented. We had also an excellent dinner and the SPA is well maintained and plaisant. The room (junior suite) is nice and with a beautiful view of the Alpes. I strongly recommend this hotel

Hotel was very clean and room was lovely. A lot of staff but not a lot of coordination between them. Every day something was missing from our breakfast table. Always had to ask for extra tea/coffees. It was sold with breakfast included in price, not strictly correct, there is a buffet table but if you want items of a menu on the table that is extra, not what we expected from paying for a 5 star hotel. Restaurant is really expensive compared to other places you can eat in the same area.

I usually feel sceptic about places with names Royal, Central, Continental, Savoy, Astoria, Intercontinental. There are old names, and I usually get dissapointed by their services. This time it was not the case:Royal proved to be the Best adress I got to know so far în Crans. The moment you enter the hotel, you feel royal.||Reception is bright, a lot of natural light, a friendly personal that is there to welcome you in the most beautiful, spacious room I ve got to stay so far în Valais. Thing is, I ve initially booked the hotel for one night, but, Once I got into the room, i ve decided to stay 3 more nights, due to the decent prices they offer for a 5 star hotel, the silence, the view over the majestic mountains, with panoramas from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc, the Imperial Crown, as they call it, but most of all for their spa:during the week the hotel is not crowded, so I was privileged to have the swimming pool just for myself, what a delight, really. The service was flawless, nothing was too much for them, and the breakfast was generos, plus the music they play in The breakfast room matched perfectly with my mood during my stay.I was hooked.||My room, 302 had a south view(this means I was în front of the Mountains, and, în front of the hotel there is a small bisse which can be heard from the balcony, so beautiful, so calm, a realm of silence, it has a huge bathroom(yes, they were generos with the spaces) and an immense bed, with fearher like bedsheets, white, pure, and it was cleaned every 4 hours by their personal :I ve never seen anything like this before,it was the Best feeling to enter the room and to find everything in perfect order, plus the Apartment was bright, spacious and i could feel luxury at every corner.||Thing is,after 4 nights I had this feeling i don t want to part, the hotel feels more like a luxury second home, so my advice is to book at least 4, 5 nights, if not a week, you will not be dissapointed, promised.||Another good thing about Royal is that it s in the Heart of Crans Montana, it is close to Cry D er, Rue du Prado, and all the restaurants.||About restaurants:Although their daily menu was promicing, especially Thursday, we chosed to eat outside, where:another nice surprise was Central Restaurant, but if you wish to eat the Best Vitello tonatto, i advise you to try Gerber, The Best Fondue :try Chalet, the Best Duck Crustillante :try Le Thai, the Best Biftec du Boeuf:Central, the best desert:Hotel s Restaurant, and the Best pancakes:Y ccor.||Also, Crans Montana offers The Explorer Card, a card with some activities that are free(for example în some periods, not always, free cable car acces), and to get this Card, you just have to ask Reception upon your arrival. Also, a Ghift card with 10 Percent sales on The shops that belong to Crans Montana Card(Not Prada, Moncler, Omega, but "Georges G', for example offers that) you can get from The Tourism Office, which is salutary, plus, if you collect "points" you can transform the points into cash. Just like Trip advisor did în The past:first, they ve offered ||discounts, then they ve offered points, now they ||offer :nothing. Smile smile smile||But the nicest most relaxing place is the forest, so Bisse du Ro, Bisse du Tsittorret are activities you can do for free. Also, a walk from Cry D er to Aminona, taking the '"Chemin des Ecuroilles' is the most beautiful way to spend the day. Me, during my stay i felt like i was 7 years younger, i don t know if it was the Air, the Acupuncture session i ve took at Sierre, the Tea i ve bought from the Droguerie în Crans, to deblock my liver meridian, or The visit at A Guerrisor at martigny, or maybe Luxury makes me flower, thing is în 5 days I ve felt better than ever.||I will book Royal again next week if booking makes me The same good offer I had ladt week, after all I wish to be 20 y o again.||Thank you Royal, i ve enjoyed every second of my stay. (i will also post some Photos, as nobody reads the comments, they all look At the pictures nowadays, and A song which matched my mood:Carla s dream - Pohui)
