Juliaca is not a tourist town, so the hotels can seem a little sketchy. In fact, we were very satisfied with Royal Inn. We were only there for the night before an early flight, but everything was good. Apparently I booked an upgraded room. For the extra $15 we got a "suite", which was really nice and roomy. We got a pizza from the restaurant, which was good. Much more than pizza on the menu. Check-in was basic, but friendly. Restaurant was hopping busy, but plenty of staff. I would stay there again. ||Aside regarding airport: 15 minute taxi ride, 15 soles. LATAM said get there 2 hours before our 8:30 flight. We did, and the place was dark. LATAM staff started showing up around 6:40. I think were were the first through security at 6:45. Fortunately we had access to the VIP lounge, which was a very nice place to wait. Plane boarded well before 8:00 and pushed from the gate at 8:15...don't be late!!

Stayed here after returning from rather primitive lodging in a rural community. It is a suitable hotel for a stop along your way. Bed was comfortable, and they had hot water! After using an outhouse with barely any running water, this was great! Staff seemed friendly although I didn’t interact much with any. There was a constant barrage of street noise and music during the day. Bring earplugs as some music continued all night and I’m not sure from where. The windows aren’t insulated well so the noise and cool temps easily seeped in. They did leave portable heaters in the corridor for those wishing to use one. Towels looked old and maybe need replacing - they felt thin and looked dingy. The room decor and carpeting is a little bit out of date and could use a refresh soon.

The place is clean, doesn't have heat but if you ask they can give you a portable heat to your room. The breakfast is included in the price and you have three options. They dont have transportation service from/to the airport, so you have to find that by yourself. Its probably one of the best options in the City.

Those that know this market town in the Altiplano devoid of touristic attractions will understand the title "More than OK for Juliaca": Far from fancy hotel , but reasonably clean, abundant hot water, wifi that works quite well (some interruptions), elevator, (very, very basic) restaurant... ||It is central and therefore very noisy, but I had a big not noisy room on the back with a window (fresh air, day light, some rooms have not!) in the third floor that was really comfortable.||The hotel has a room with two computers that worked fine.

If you really need to be in Juliaca for the night, Royal Inn is a good choice. There is nothing wrong with the hotel in it of itself. The staff is really good. They don't speak any English, but they do their best to help you and figure out what you need. I'm very grateful to them and for their assistance. The room is comfortable and clean.||||The biggest problem with the hotel is that it's in Juliaca. It's VERY VERY VERY noisy. Without a doubt and it's not an exaggeration, it was THE NOISIEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE. I actually woke up in the middle of the night when it was quiet for a blessed half hour. I had been lulled to sleep by the blaring horns of taxis, the drunken shouts of people, and general loud din. After that half hour, the noise picked up again to a fevered pitch. ||||I wish I could rate the hotel higher because again, I have no complaints about what the hotel could control. The room was good. The breakfast was fine. The staff was great. But with the incredibly loud noise, there's no way I can recommend this place except to say only stay if you have no choice. Otherwise, avoid Juliaca at all possible costs.

I can't say much nice about the town of Juliaca but the Royal Inn was OK. We were traveling by bicycle and found the staff to be very accommodating. The rooms were OK (it is Peru), reasonably clean, reliable power and the shower was hot. The restaurant was surprisingly good. It's a very reasonable value for the money.

I stayed for just one night in the Juliaca's Royal Inn, it was comfortable and nice, everything very clean and the restaurant offered good food. My experience with the rooms was far from other traveler's, I got a pretty cozy bed with a good mattress, and they looked new, maybe the made a recent remodeling or something. ||But there's one thing I found in Royal Inn that I value over any inconvenience, and that is loyalty, honesty and a staff devoted to excellent costumer service. When I arrived to the hotel I had just noticed my iPhone had been lost in the boat in Puno. Off course it was crazy and sad for me to deal with it, and these people helped me in every way they could at the momet. Sadly, even though they could reach directly the captain of our boat, he said there was nothing in our seats. ||I came back to Costa Rica and I just let it go. Until one day someone connected the phone to the internet and I got my Find my iPhone alarms all over. It was there in the boat in the middle of the lake. Long story short, how could a girl in Costa Rica track down a stolen cell phone in Puno and finally get it back? Because there are wonderful people in this world, willing to help expecting nothing in exchange, like the staff in Royal Inn. Their manager Alex, Isaias and the front desk girls have been amazing with me. They called the tour agency that took us to the lake, contacted the captain again and finally recovered my phone. It is now on a long journey to Costa Rica. ||Thank you, thank you thank you forever! ||So many important information an photos that I hadn't had the chance to upload to my iCloud account. Thanks to them I'll get them back. ||So, to all the travelers going to Juliaca or Puno (they have another hotel there), know that there's a place where you can trust the people and will get an exceptional service.

Juliaca is not a tourist destination, but the airport serving Puno (jump-off point for Lake Titicaca) is there. If you have an early flight, stay here rather than in Puno (an hour away). The hotel was clean and the staff was super friendly. Good restaurant too - the pizza was downright superb! Our room gave onto a busy street, so was a bit noisy. But all in all, a perfectly good option.
