Stayed here with a friend for a long weekend in November. Couldn’t fault the hotel or location, especially for the price paid. Great place to stay right by Wawel Castle, close to restaurants, Bars, Main Square, Trams and shopping. Rooms are huge!! Bathroom had a great shower. Plenty of room for coats, shoes and luggage. Rooms were also very warm and couldn’t hear any noise outside at all. Staff have all been friendly and good choice for buffet breakfast. Nothing to complain about, everything was great and would definitely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 👍

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Royal! The spacious and cozy rooms made our experience truly comfortable. The breakfast spread was not only delicious but also offered a delightful variety. The restaurant's exquisite offerings were a perfect choice, and the hotel's convenient location made it easy to access everything we wanted to explore. Highly recommend for a fantastic stay!

|Ok - so for the price it is well pitched and also nicely placed for walks to the centre. |But having had a room on the main road - ear plugs are essential due to tram and general traffic noise. I did ask to be moved but no options. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The breakfast basic but acceptable with variety of options. |Rooms I would suggest on the park side of the hotel much quieter though. Decor old fashioned but no issues as pictures on site accurate

The hotel is centrally located, just in front of Wawel Castle, and has large and clean rooms. Staff at reception promptly answered to my emails and helped me with booking airport transfer and Auschwitz tour. Beds are very comfortable. Our room at third floor faced the gardens and sleep quality was so good. Buffet breakfast in the middle range. Just in front of the hotel a couple of good restaurants with local traditional food.

Adjacent to the old town, a few minutes walk away from restaurants, bars and tourist trap shops. The hotel is comfortable and clean, buffet breakfast is perfectly adequate but I didn't use their restaurant as it is too easy to walk a few minutes for more choice. I arrived by motorcycle after the time it stated that rooms would be ready but still had to wait almost two hours until the room was cleaned. The receptionist gave me free parking as compensation which was a bonus as parking here can be difficult ! Don't turn up and expect parking, arrange in advance as spaces are limited and street parking will get you either fined or clamped ! The parking concierge is a really nice bloke so don't be rude to him, he's just doing his job.

Robert at the reception was so helpful when we arrived a few hours early. We were tired and just wanted our room. We waited out side walking in the lovely park close by, he came out and found us having got the room ready super quick. Thanks Hotel Royal, your great staff are what really made our stay enjoyable, they were all so helpful and cheerful, not the usual uninterested and bored type you usually deal with in hotels everywhere. The breakfast was phenomenal !!

It was at a great location. 5 mins from the Krakow Square. Staff very helpful. Room service wasn't great. Even if you put the notice on the door to remake room. It didn't always happen. When we did see the ladies about towels they were very helpful. But apart from that it was very good. Lot's to choose from at breakfast and as much to eat as we could eat. No complaints about that. All in all a lovely hotel

You won't get a better location for exploring the centre of Krakow. The rooms and corridors are spacious with lovely high ceilings. The decor is a little dated but clean and fits in with the period property. The hotel is right on the well known and beautiful planty park walk. This gives you easy access to the castle, river, central market square and the many shops, restaurants and historic buildings. If you are visiting I highly recommend the 8pm classical concerts held at St Peters Church in the centre. The hotel also provides you with easy access to the tram network. The only slight downside in the noise from the trams and general nightlife. However, you could say that of any major city hotel.

Yelp
An old hotel that keeps it's style. Not only can you see Wawel Castle from the entrance but the hotel is a 5/10 minute walk to the town square (Rynek). Pros - Close to Wawel Castle - Staff was friendly and very helpful. They would always suggest things to do or see in the city - Tour buses are close by (right outside the hotel) - Music plays in the afternoon and evening from below Cons - Bathroom walls were not cleaned and there was a different smell inside the hotel and it's rooms NOTE: There was no hot water for the first night of our stay. The hotel gave us 15% off the bill of the first night.

Yelp
If I could rate this below a one star I would. First off I get in the hotel and there is a smell that would make anyone be sick. The concierge gentleman was very nice and helped me with the bus system etc but I get to my room and it is nothing like the pictures I looked at. The whole hotel/my room smelt like sewage. It made me throw up the smell was so gross. The fan in the bathroom didn't work and neither did the lights and the smell of sewage is worse in the bathroom. The room was dirty and so were the towels and sheets. Very noisy and loud banging going on all night. I am not a picky person when it comes to hotels but I would not stay there again if my life depended on it. I called the hotel main desk and where I booked from to cancel and get out of that place and of course I couldn't cancel without being charged. Ridiculous! If a place smells so bad and is so dirty they should have given me a refund so I could have gone to a different hotel. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
