This is a classic 100 year old place that has been kept up, and I like to support these relics. That said, my rating was lowered by the value equation; seemed expensive for the room I had. That said, if you do want to be in the centro, this is probably a good choice. It faces a pedestrian street (the main shopping drag) with somewhat less traffic noise, so may want to request a forward-facing room. That location also makes it somewhat safer.

😊: The personel was arrogant to say the least. The windows do not close so the noise from outside makes it difficult to sleep. The soap dispenser did not work. The telephone works only if you hold the cable with one hand. Too expensive for an old place like the hotel. Needs refurbishment very urgently..

This is an older hotel but it's in pretty good shape. It has a ton of character and is in a great location near the mercado central and Palacio national. It's also a long a busy pedestrian road with lots of stores and restaurants. People have complained about hot water but if you let it run for a while it does warm up. I would highly recommend this place if you want to be in zona 1

The location is nice, in a busy and safe area. The hotel is very elegant and clean, and the staff was wonderful. Just two drawbacks for me - It seemed to be 50/50 whether you would get warm water from the shower. The hotel doors close at 10 PM, so you need to get back before then.

A little too pricy but the breakfast was awesome and it's and it's in the middle of the area that is very live at night

We had a quick turn around so we were only at this hotel for about 7 hours to sleep. We arrived at night so I don't really know much about the surrounding area but the hotel was NICE!! We had been traveling around to little village towns and this was the best hotel on our trip. The beds were super comfortable and the wifi was fast unlike all the other hotels we had been in. Room service food was good but it took a while because they were closing when we arrived and then everyone in our large group of 35 ordered food. My room had a great layout however I heard in other rooms it was weird like the bathroom door couldn't open all the way due to a bed being in the way. Lobby looked nice and staff was nice! My only complaint was that I couldn't get hot or warm water in the shower, it was ice cold. I would stay here again!

The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and breakfast excellent. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the street and slept comfortably with the windows open. The rooms are not air conditioned, but it isn't really necessary. Bathrooms clean and well-stocked.Some Spanish is necessary for communicating with the front desk, and airport shuttle does not run on Sundays.

Our room for two nights was spotlessly clean! The hotel staff were so helpful and one nice young lady spoke English. The FULL free breakfast each morning was delicious! A complimentary cocktail with appetizer was provided for us on our first night. There are MANY great restaurants nearby that can be reached by walking down the pedestrian only street in front of the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers coming to this city.
