My wife and I stayed at the Royal Plaza with a tour group. We loved the Lake view from our room and the overall ambiance. The rooms were large and spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially at the breakfast service. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the bar the two nights we were there. The food was good but found it pricey. It was raining and we didn’t want to go out to seek out other options. There are restaurants nearby, so there are plenty of options. The one complaint that we had was the nightly music at the bar a couple of floors below our room. The music was played too loud along with the thump from the bass, made for a hard time to relax or try to go to sleep at 10:30 PM for early morning tours. They finally did turn the music down at 11:00, but you could still hear the bass thumping until very late. It would be helpful if the hotel informed guests of the possibility of the music being played loudly and give you the option to be farther away from the bar area. This would help future guests have a more pleasant experience. We also found the lobby area very warm. They need some air movement in this area.

I was torn between a 3 and 5 rating so landed on a 4…: 3 for decent but dated rooms and hotel, and 5 for a wonderful location on Lake Geneva, with beautiful views. Montreux is a small town, and two days was plenty to view it, mostly exploring alongside the magical lake. Swimming, going for walks, finding cute lunch spots, and talking pics. The breakfast restaurant area is pleasant with lakeside views, and has been tastefully redone - a decent breakfast. The rest of the hotel would benefit with the same revamp. We still enjoyed Lake Geneva more than anything, and appreciated a friendly hotel concierge.

Dear Royal Plaza, | |We stayed at the Hotel with family and booked 7 Rooms, very spacious Room, Clean, and good city location. Front desk staff was polite, and housekeeping staff is prompt with cleaning. Restaurant breakfast is average with limited spread, doesn’t provide fresh whole fruits. However, the restaurant staff if friendly and polite. Great location by the water and view. ||Thank You,|NPatel|PNI Hospitality

Great location right on the lake and a short walk/bus ride to the train station. Included breakfast was great. Very nice to have AC in the room, but I think it was making the room smell funny. Rooms looked like they were fancy at one point, but now just look dated and dirty (scuffed walls, stained carpet) except for the bathroom that looked newly remodeled.

Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs! This was by far the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. The room was crawling with spiders, the hygiene was unbelievably poor, and it was obvious that cleanliness is not a priority here. The bathroom was dirty, the room felt unhygienic, and I couldn’t even feel safe sleeping inside. To make things worse, the manager was extremely cold and unhelpful. When I raised my concerns, they showed zero care and refused to offer any alternative or solution. The lack of professionalism and customer service is shocking. This hotel is a disgrace. If you care at all about hygiene, safety, or basic respect as a guest, do not book here.

This hotel offers amazing value for money. It boasts a stunning view of the Leman right from the room. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped. We especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

We stayed here for 2 days while traveling thru Switzerland. The room was huge, with lots of space and a wonderful balcony overlooking Lake Geneva. The hotel is somewhat dated. We also got massages at their spa and was horrified that after changing into the robe and slippers, we were then taken on the main elevator got off on the lobby level and walked back a hallway with rooms to the treatment area. While the massage was good, having to walk around public areas of the hotel before and after the massage defeated the relaxing time the massage was supposed to be.

A 5 star hotel offering all the services you would expect. I booked a Junior suite with a balcony and lake view in the older part of the hotel. The room is very spacious it is serviced everyday unless you opt for the environmentally friendly option which gives you an extra discount. Breakfast is very good thanks to the two ladies managing breakfast especially when given a table in Sinatras Bar. I would recommend booking your visit through the hotel website as this gives you the best deal.
