Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne

Fantastic location near lake Geneva, 1 min from Metro station ‘délices’, Royal Savoy is a modern, warm 5 star hotel with all amenities. Staff are superb in all aspects. Make sure to enjoy the breakfast with enough time! Great rooftop terrace. Stylish rooms with fantastic beds. Restaurant offers tremendous food, so make sure to try it. I can highly recommend this hotel. We traveled as a family.

Beautiful hotel. We arrived with three other couples only to find that we arrived behind two tour buses. The hotel was so overwhelmed that we received no assistance with our luggage and had to a 35 minute wait to check in at the front desk. I returned to the front desk to speak to the manager on duty and the leadership team was diligent to regain our trust over the course of our stay. Time does not reverse and so there is no way to undo what we experienced at check in. But the kind and attentive hospitality that followed suggests that the hotel leadership understands what a five star experience feels like. We appreciated their efforts. The hotel itself is lovely and very comfortable.

Honestly, we couldn't be more happy with the service, facilities, location, exterior/interior design, staff flexibility, spa... pretty everything. Our personal thank you to all the personnel, you are all not just top-notch trained but genuinely kind and helpful by nature. We felt like home, thank you to you. Cannot recommend staying in this hotel enough, only high words and happy feelings. From the family of 5 (from adults, teens to baby).

The hotel is a beautiful building and the rooms are much more spacious and better equipped with automatic bidets, good sized TVs and over looking a beautiful view. The concierge staff are incredible and have been nothing but polite and helpful. The restaurant staff however.. are another story. Some incidents I will not share as they have been resolved however in our last day my children went down 15mins before the closing of breakfast which was at 10:15 (closing is 10:30) and every time they would ask to be served the waiter would tell them “ 5 more minutes” and before you knew it it was 10:33 and when they finally asked the waiter for a third time he responded “sorry we close at 10:30” and what my children wanted was something out of the cold section of the buffet and not freshly cooked food. There is no excuse for this apart from bad taste from the waiter who must have gotten away with this type of behavior several times otherwise he wouldn’t have dared to do this to paying customers at a 5 star hotel in Switzerland! This in my opinion is grounds for firing. The day before that we were finishing our breakfast and it was past 10:30 and the waitress was pulling the plate mat from u see my wife’s plat in an attempt to get us to finish our meal fast so they can prepare for lunch. Either we have an issue with culture shock or this hotels restaurant staff need to learn some customer service tips and maybe some general manners! Other wise, aside from the breakfast experience, the hotel and its staff were excellent. The rooms were spotless and the linens were as clean as can be. The pool is a bit small but does the job. The garden is lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel .

We had a great stay at Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne. The staff are friendly and professional. Breakfast was great. The rooms are well maintained with good finishes. Great spa. The sky lounge is great with views of Lausanne. The hotel has great ambiance in general. Hotel is located just across the metro station and transport card is complementary. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lausanne.

Location: Great||||Atmosphere: Good. It has an excellent restaurant, Brasserie du Royal.||||Room: just ok.||For a suite, I definitely expected a bigger room, newer furniture, with a more softer/ comfortable bed (mattress too firm)||||Value: Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations, comparing with other 5 star hotels I stay.||Plus It is a busy hotel so do not expect early check in or late check out.||||Cleanliness: The carper was old and had some stains. ||The old amenities were not removed and replenished with new ones. I had to call to get it.||||Noise level: no noise, but perhaps because the room is at the end of the hallway.||||Service: Everyone was polite and professional.||The staff was very attentive.||||Amenities: the pool is at a separate building which made it uncomfortable going back to the room with the bathrobe.

I had a wonderful experience at the Royal Savoy Hotel! The service was excellent, professional, friendly, and attentive from start to finish. The food was delicious, with a great selection of dishes full of flavor and beautifully presented. The cocktails were especially impressive, creative, well-balanced, and expertly crafted.
