Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne

An incredible place to stay. Not only the rooms are beautiful, modern, quiet and extremely comfortable, the staff is lovely and extremely welcoming at all levels: reception, breakfast, spa, restaurant. Always a smile, a nice word and a true willingness to assist. The spa is wonderful, massages are perfect and the services is incredible. I am a fan of four seasons and here I must say the level of service was even topped! Congratulations to the whole Royal Savoy team, Cylia, Rodrigue, Georges, Alice and all the team!! Thank you I will be back!!

I booked the hotel for an entry stop on my trip through Switzerland via scenic train routes. The Glacier Express and the Bernina Express were at the top of my agenda. The concierge told me to count on him and let him make all the arrangements. Relax. It was a complete disappointment from start to finish. First the was absolutely no consistency.. closed on weekends? Different person communicating on each connection. Recommending six and seven hotels who had no vacancies - all inquiries I had to make myself then connect back with a different concierge to explain there were no vacancies. One hotel I managed to book cancelled my reservation three days later?!? I finally cancelled the whole trip losing both my fares on the trains which was approximately $500 nonrefundable. What a disaster it was! Good riddance Royal whatever. I did not go but assume location and rooms were decent.

Location|Excellent. Very well located for exploring Lausanne, with the added bonus of complimentary city-wide public transport provided at check-in. This is a real advantage and makes getting around the city effortless.||Atmosphere|Refined, calm and welcoming. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the Christmas period, with festive touches throughout the property and gardens. Even over the busy New Year period, the atmosphere remained relaxed and comfortable.||Rooms|Spacious, comfortable and well prepared. Despite outdoor temperatures dropping to around –3°C, the room remained warm and cosy, helped by an additional electric radiator provided. Overall, a very comfortable stay.||Value|In line with expectations for Lausanne. Parking is available on site at €40 per night, which is typical for the area. The quality of the accommodation, facilities and setting overall justify the pricing.||Cleanliness|Impeccable throughout the hotel, including rooms, spa facilities and public areas.||Noise level|Excellent. The room was quiet and restful, even with the hotel at full capacity.||Service|Staff were friendly, polite and professional. During peak periods, service could occasionally be a little slower, particularly on arrival and at check-out, though this appeared to be linked to the hotel being fully booked over the New Year period.||Amenities|Very strong overall. The spa and swimming pool are excellent and well maintained. Access to the spa requires walking through some public areas of the hotel, which is a minor layout quirk rather than a significant issue.||The main bar is stylish and inviting, but the real highlight is the Lobby Lounge & Bar. The veranda, terrace and winter-garden space is exceptionally cosy, beautifully decorated and a pleasure to spend time in. This area works equally well in both winter and summer and is one of the hotel’s standout features.|Dining||Breakfast is a traditional continental offering, which will appeal to many guests. Personally, continental breakfasts are not my preference, though others I have recommended the hotel to speak very highly of it.|While on-site dining may not be the hotel’s strongest point for everyone, the complimentary public transport makes exploring Lausanne’s excellent restaurant scene very easy.||Overall|This was my fifth or sixth stay over a six-year period, and the hotel continues to deliver a consistently high standard of comfort, atmosphere and service. A refined, elegant property with excellent facilities and a standout lounge experience. I would happily return and recommend it to others.

Great location near the lake. Lovely room and New Years Eve Dinner was marvellous. The hotel's ambience is very welcoming and friendly. We were there on 1+2 jan when nestly everything in Lausanne was closed so a good hotel was very important to us.

Had a wonderful stay at the Royal Savoy Hotel. The location is excellent and very convenient for sightseeing and getting around the city. The hotel itself was comfortable, but what truly made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, which made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Highly recommended.

Stayed on business for two nights. Probably the most grand hotel in Lausanne. Very friendly and helpful staff and an excellent room, cannot fault. Room service very pricey and very average food. That seems to be a pattern in Switzerland though so not an issue with the hotel as such. Breakfast was however very good - especially the bacon.

I went on the spur of the moment, and luckily got a 90 signature treatment with Audrey. She gave me one of the best massages ever! I would never hesitate in recommending this spa. Audrey was so wonderful and professional and the receptionists were super, too.

Perfect relaxing getaway! Can’t wait to come back especially for the spa and pools! The hotel staff was really warm friendly and accommodating to us, this meant a lot being a young family of 3.

An excellent stay and very convenient overall. It's located right next to the train station, which made getting around extremely easy. There's also a train that takes you directly from Geneva Airport to the nearby train station, making the trip to the hotel seamless. Check-in was smooth. The staff was great across the board, and the concierge was especially helpful--assisting with booking local attractions and providing excellent recommendations. The hotel offers three restaurants. The main-level restaurant is open most of the day with the longest hours, serving pastries, teas, snacks, and desserts throughout the day. There's also a breakfast restaurant that converts to dinner service and holds a Michelin star, which is extremely rare to find in a hotel. Unfortunately, when we had a reservation there in the evening, several menu items were unavailable, so we decided not to dine there. We did eat at the rooftop restaurant on the seventh floor, and it was absolutely incredible--amazing food, great service, and an overall fantastic experience. The hotel also has a great pool, spa, and gym. The spa offerings were excellent, and I booked a facial and massage that was absolutely incredible--it made for a very relaxing day and was a highlight of the stay. The room itself was excellent with an amazing view, heated bathroom floors, and all the amenities you could need. Room service and in-room dining options were also very solid. Overall, this was a great stay from start to finish and is highly recommended for anyone visiting Lausanne or Switzerland in general.

One of the nicest stays we have ever had. From the amazing staff, to the gorgeous grounds and building, to the outstanding rooms...it was top notch all around! Highly recommend grabbing dinner on the rooftop and catching a sunset & views of the lake! Can't wait to go back!

We had the most wonderful stay at the Royal Savoy Hotel. Thanks to the loveliest welcome while in this luxurious and beautiful hotel, we felt we were at home. It was mainly thanks to Youssef and Gabriels' professionalism and kindness. Service out of this world is so excellent! The breakfast was remarkable; Youssef and Gabriel organized everything for us. The food was spectacular and delicious, and the service was outstanding. We didn't want to leave. Now we can't wait to come back. Highly recommended! Don't hesitate to book your stay there; we will do it again very soon.

Lovely hotel! Very modern inside. I had the room on the new side of the property and I enjoyed it. The room was very roomy! I loved the fitness room and the pool was very very nice! Great for workout laps and water massages. I also highly recommend thw hotel's restaurant.

Stayed here one night after leaving from Paris and day stopping in Besancon. Staff is amazing and welcoming and fluent in English and patiently entertained my attempts in French. Had dinner in the lounge and food was great. Front desk staff amazing and offered us breakfast after the spot we went to in town was closed. Concierge gave us excellent help on how to travel to the chateau de chillon and recommended the Christmas market in Montreaux on our way back which was wonderful. Made our one day stop in Switzerland a highlight for sure.

I would say the food is very good, and I will definitely refer to others and I would come back, but I must say the device is so bad, you will wait for a long time for your water, your butter, your wine and everything. I wouldn't say they purposely do it, but this restaurant have very few severs So they could not cover all the tables. But anyways it's still worthwhile to try and the price is very reasonable for what you have on the table. The wine list is very good, and very reasonable priced.

The recently renovated hotel is a gem to stay at. And I haven't even tried the spa yet !!!

Amazing place, in the summer try the roof top terrace (sky bar) absolutely amazing ! Restaurant downstairs is delicious, the personnel is very attentive, would definitely recommend this place for fine dining.

Haven't stayed at the hotel (although it looks lovely) but went in for a Massage treatment with Joy and she is AMAZING. I went in with so much pain and after 50 minutes with her, came out feeling like a new person. The spa is nice and clean, very large and everyone who works there is fantastic. Definitely recommend.
