We had a wonderful stay and an overall great experience at the hotel. The staff who assisted us during our check-in (I believe he was on night duty) was exceptionally kind, helpful, and welcoming. Unfortunately, I forgot his name, but his excellent service truly made a difference and set the tone for our stay. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. The location was also perfect—just about a 15-minute drive to Quebec City, making it very convenient for exploring. Thank you for the warm hospitality—we’ll definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying here again!

The hotel is lovely. Rooms are spacious and inviting. We enjoyed your adjoining restaurant for dinner as well. We understand being streetscape, the parking a couple of blocks away, well secured and easy to locate. Breakfast could be a bit larger menu of choice. Overall a lovely hotel and would recommend it.

Hotel & staff were good. The room was nice, but with a few problems...The TV system didn't work properly, and needed 2 remotes; the coffee (Nespreso) & tea offerings were not to our liking, with no regular alternatives available; the washroom & shower floors were very slippery when wet; there were no instructions available in the room for operation of the TV or even the phone; one day the room wasn't cleaned & had to order more towels. The art displayed around the hotel was fantastic - very entertaining!

This hotel was clean, modern, well appointed, and had an amazing staff. They were wonderful to interact with and I would stay here again if I ever return to Quebec. Their private parking was safe and secure, but difficult to access as you have to wait for a staff member to assist in opening the garage to park. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

We were not at the Royal William for a vacation. My husband was having surgery and we needed a place to stay that was accessible, central and comfortable. The Royal William was all of these. The parking was very close - 1 block from the hotel - and the coupon system worked very well. There was an unloading zone right in front of the hotel so that when I returned to the hotel with my husband, who was exhausted, I could assist him to enter so easily. The room service was excellent after a very long day at the hospital and the breakfast room was open early and the food was good. I would love to come back under better circumstances but it was a great place for us to stay during this stressful time. Every staff person we met was helpful and kind. Thank you very much

Love this Hotel. It had been a few years since our last stay. It has been renovated and a very nice restaurant has been added. We didn't eat there but it looked very nice. I had asked for a floor on the higest floor possible and was granted my wish. Room was super clean and very quiet.

It wasn't too difficult to add a second night to my stay. I was given a single room key. 2 bathrobes provided. Low number of washcloths. Cozy pillows of various sizes. Cramped office area. Curtains are a bit cumbersome to operate

We were not asked how our stay was at checkout, otherwise we would have shared this then. We found the staff’s behaviour overall unfriendly and not helpful. The hotel has no parking and the one they recommend is 2 blocks away. You’d have to take your luggage there yourself as it’s almost impossible to park in front of the hotel to take your luggage out…every car behind you waiting will honk at you and curse you. The lot they offer does not have an EV charging station so if you have an electric vehicle you will have to find a different parking station yourself. The rooms are clean however they are small, and the pillows are not comfortable. The AC keeps tripping even if you set it at the lowest setting (19C) and there’s no way to keep the fan on. We asked the room service for basic utensils (fork and spoon), and they said they will have to check if they have those. I think that’s just an inappropriate response. Basic utensils are always provided upon request. The location is not close to the old town. You are at least 30 minutes walk away. We would not recommend if you are coming to visit the old town, unless you are okay driving and parking at the old town or taking an uber.

Yelp
Overall we had a good stay as the price was great in comparison to the prices in old Québec. But the area has a lot of homelessness so I'd be careful if you are alone or with a child as we were. Also, please note the reception is undergoing renovations but this did not affect our stay at all. I will say, one major negative point is that there is no underground parking or allocated space. The hotel gave us a $22 pass per day to park 1 block away which felt very unsafe due to all the homelessness in the area. Also the parking is actually $18 per day directly from the parking lot so ee got charged $4 more through the hotel. As for the room, we booked a room with 2 queen size bed and a kitchenette and did not get the kitchen which was disappointing as we needed it for our toddler.

Yelp
Pooh and I stayed here while visiting Québec City. I am very impressed with the room. First off, when we stay in a hotel we like to party (we are very respectful to our neighbours and hotel) and this hotel is the only one (so far) that prepares the room accordingly. The room is equipped with an espresso machine which we always need the next morning. Plus it has dishes, glasses, a fridge and microwave plus a safe and garbage bags to clean up the next morning. Very few hotels have garbage bags. Personally I think they should be standard in the rooms because there is always something to clean. There is a Bluetooth speaker which delivered quality sound. This room also has a table and chairs so we don't have to eat in bed - bonus! I also think all hotel rooms should have an eating area The hotel is walking distance to restaurants, bars, Irish pubs, and dépanneurs I gave it 4 stars because the cable channels suck! Luckily we brought our Apple TV unit with us (tv had an HDMI outlet) and there was construction happening around it and it would have been nice to be notified before hand but other than that this hotel is wonderful We would definitely return!

Yelp
Our stay was very pleasant, comfortable undisturbed with good breakfast. Hotel is centrally located and easy commute. The staff are very nice and helpful, gave us umbrellas when it started raining, helped us sort out another matter involving police.

Yelp
I love the spacious room! The service is great. Staff is friendly. Location is ok. Close enough to Old Quebec but it's a bit of a walk when you are tired. It's close to some really good restaurants. Parking lot looks sketchy but I think it's safe since its under an office building that grants limited access after hours. The bathroom could be a bit cleaner, and it could be a bit brighter in the hotel room otherwise I loved my stay.

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay here. Restaurant downstairs has a great duck poutine. Fairly good beer selection. The Boreal Blond Ale was delicious. Rooms are a bit on the smaller side but very comfortable. The AC unit could freeze meat....a good thing.

Yelp
I stayed here last week on my first-ever trip to Quebec and would highly recommend the RW. The location is outside the Old Town and a little further from most tourist sights (15-30 min. walk), but staying here also lets you experience the non-touristy "outside the walls" side of Quebec. It's in the charming St-Roch neighborhood, one of two areas of interest outside Old Town. It's right next to what may be the best people-watching coffeehouse in town (Brulerie St. Roch), and it's close to a bunch of restaurants you can enjoy with all that money you're saving by avoiding the overpriced hotels that gouge tourists who aren't imaginative enough to stay outside Old Town. Rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet, though definitely more "functional" than charming, and very much "no-frills". Staff were nice. In terms of bang for the buck, this has got to be one of the best hotel picks in Quebec.

Yelp
Do not stay here. There are far better places in the area for around the same price. The rooms are not well cleaned. Serious, visible mold in the shower and the bed didn't even have a cover on the mattress, just a plain, unfitted sheet. AND, there was a small blood stain on the duvet which also didn't have a cover. This was staying in the Business class suite! Thank goodness my employer paid for it or I would have requested a cancellation, full refund and walked out the door. Oh and the "free" wifi was absolutely terrible. Could barely connect on all three devices. Front desk just told me to log out, power down etc all of which I already tried and failed to get connected to. How frustrating! The front staff was friendly and nice, spoke great English but they need a new cleaning staff and have someone show them how to properly make a bed. I sat down to write on the paper left at the business desk in my room and low and behold, there was not a pen to be found in the room! It's all about the details! And this place overlooked all of them!

Yelp
Very good hotel, nice stuff and good rooms. Really near to the old city and surrounded by resturants(dont go to verso). Best value for the monet in Quebec.

Yelp
Excellent hotel with modern amenities. Great location for new and old town. Staff was very helpful. They have a private parking garage across the street...just let the front desk know when you arrive.

Yelp
Above all my anticipation for the regular price. Very helpull front desk guy, nice location, good service, a lit beat small qeen size (?) bed, nice serving of breakfest at the restaurant.
