We stayed for 5days during the Christmas week. Until day 4, we had a good experience where the staff was very sweet and serviced our room on xmas day. Although the very next day, not sure what changed in management, the service was pathetic. Housekeeping did not make the beds, nor take the trash out, there were no coffee refills. They just cleaned the bathroom. This was very strange, since they were doing a good job until day4. After we confronted front desk, they outright dismissed it saying we don't clean rooms daily, and don't take trash out daily either. They never mentioned the selective housekeeping rule when we checked in. Very disappointed.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel outside. It doesn’t look like much, but the rooms were very big or Lisa room. We had the bathroom was huge with the separate shower and a great big tub. The room was very comfortable very well appointed we ate at the restaurant I think it’s called Malia and it was one of the best lasagnas I have ever eaten in my life. We would definitely highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very courteous and friendly

We had a wonderful stay and an overall great experience at the hotel. The staff who assisted us during our check-in (I believe he was on night duty) was exceptionally kind, helpful, and welcoming. Unfortunately, I forgot his name, but his excellent service truly made a difference and set the tone for our stay. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. The location was also perfect—just about a 15-minute drive to Quebec City, making it very convenient for exploring. Thank you for the warm hospitality—we’ll definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying here again!

The hotel is lovely. Rooms are spacious and inviting. We enjoyed your adjoining restaurant for dinner as well. We understand being streetscape, the parking a couple of blocks away, well secured and easy to locate. Breakfast could be a bit larger menu of choice. Overall a lovely hotel and would recommend it.

Dead flowers on the reception desk when we arrived on a Wednesday afternoon, still there, even more dead, when we left on the Saturday morning. Gives a poor impression. The room was fine, a bit sparse but the bed was comfortable and the shower hot. Buffet breakfast cheap but limited and lukewarm. Compared to a 10 times better hotel in Montreal for the same price, the Royal William offers poor value. It’s not that conveniently located for tourists either.

Avoid this property at all cost. They don’t have parking inside the hotel. They don’t have bellboy, so you need to do everything by your own. You need to park in the street and put down your luggage and then walk one block to hotel. If you request special service two months in advance, they are not ready with your request. The front desk basically don’t offer any solution at all and the manager is not in the property when you request to talk with him/her

Hotel & staff were good. The room was nice, but with a few problems...The TV system didn't work properly, and needed 2 remotes; the coffee (Nespreso) & tea offerings were not to our liking, with no regular alternatives available; the washroom & shower floors were very slippery when wet; there were no instructions available in the room for operation of the TV or even the phone; one day the room wasn't cleaned & had to order more towels. The art displayed around the hotel was fantastic - very entertaining!

Decided to stay at Royal William’s thinking it’s gonna be a good experience, on our road-trip, turned out not too great! No free parking.( which is understandable as its a busy city) No microwave in the room. Asked where I could get some water/fill my water bottle, they said they don’t have any.. Wasn’t helpful at all. Lacks hospitality. Won’t recommend this hotel , as there are way better places to spend your money on.

Yelp
Overall we had a good stay as the price was great in comparison to the prices in old Québec. But the area has a lot of homelessness so I'd be careful if you are alone or with a child as we were. Also, please note the reception is undergoing renovations but this did not affect our stay at all. I will say, one major negative point is that there is no underground parking or allocated space. The hotel gave us a $22 pass per day to park 1 block away which felt very unsafe due to all the homelessness in the area. Also the parking is actually $18 per day directly from the parking lot so ee got charged $4 more through the hotel. As for the room, we booked a room with 2 queen size bed and a kitchenette and did not get the kitchen which was disappointing as we needed it for our toddler.

Yelp
Pooh and I stayed here while visiting Québec City. I am very impressed with the room. First off, when we stay in a hotel we like to party (we are very respectful to our neighbours and hotel) and this hotel is the only one (so far) that prepares the room accordingly. The room is equipped with an espresso machine which we always need the next morning. Plus it has dishes, glasses, a fridge and microwave plus a safe and garbage bags to clean up the next morning. Very few hotels have garbage bags. Personally I think they should be standard in the rooms because there is always something to clean. There is a Bluetooth speaker which delivered quality sound. This room also has a table and chairs so we don't have to eat in bed - bonus! I also think all hotel rooms should have an eating area The hotel is walking distance to restaurants, bars, Irish pubs, and dépanneurs I gave it 4 stars because the cable channels suck! Luckily we brought our Apple TV unit with us (tv had an HDMI outlet) and there was construction happening around it and it would have been nice to be notified before hand but other than that this hotel is wonderful We would definitely return!

Yelp
Our stay was very pleasant, comfortable undisturbed with good breakfast. Hotel is centrally located and easy commute. The staff are very nice and helpful, gave us umbrellas when it started raining, helped us sort out another matter involving police.

Yelp
I love the spacious room! The service is great. Staff is friendly. Location is ok. Close enough to Old Quebec but it's a bit of a walk when you are tired. It's close to some really good restaurants. Parking lot looks sketchy but I think it's safe since its under an office building that grants limited access after hours. The bathroom could be a bit cleaner, and it could be a bit brighter in the hotel room otherwise I loved my stay.

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay here. Restaurant downstairs has a great duck poutine. Fairly good beer selection. The Boreal Blond Ale was delicious. Rooms are a bit on the smaller side but very comfortable. The AC unit could freeze meat....a good thing.

Yelp
I stayed here last week on my first-ever trip to Quebec and would highly recommend the RW. The location is outside the Old Town and a little further from most tourist sights (15-30 min. walk), but staying here also lets you experience the non-touristy "outside the walls" side of Quebec. It's in the charming St-Roch neighborhood, one of two areas of interest outside Old Town. It's right next to what may be the best people-watching coffeehouse in town (Brulerie St. Roch), and it's close to a bunch of restaurants you can enjoy with all that money you're saving by avoiding the overpriced hotels that gouge tourists who aren't imaginative enough to stay outside Old Town. Rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet, though definitely more "functional" than charming, and very much "no-frills". Staff were nice. In terms of bang for the buck, this has got to be one of the best hotel picks in Quebec.

Yelp
Do not stay here. There are far better places in the area for around the same price. The rooms are not well cleaned. Serious, visible mold in the shower and the bed didn't even have a cover on the mattress, just a plain, unfitted sheet. AND, there was a small blood stain on the duvet which also didn't have a cover. This was staying in the Business class suite! Thank goodness my employer paid for it or I would have requested a cancellation, full refund and walked out the door. Oh and the "free" wifi was absolutely terrible. Could barely connect on all three devices. Front desk just told me to log out, power down etc all of which I already tried and failed to get connected to. How frustrating! The front staff was friendly and nice, spoke great English but they need a new cleaning staff and have someone show them how to properly make a bed. I sat down to write on the paper left at the business desk in my room and low and behold, there was not a pen to be found in the room! It's all about the details! And this place overlooked all of them!

Yelp
Very good hotel, nice stuff and good rooms. Really near to the old city and surrounded by resturants(dont go to verso). Best value for the monet in Quebec.

Yelp
Excellent hotel with modern amenities. Great location for new and old town. Staff was very helpful. They have a private parking garage across the street...just let the front desk know when you arrive.

Yelp
Above all my anticipation for the regular price. Very helpull front desk guy, nice location, good service, a lit beat small qeen size (?) bed, nice serving of breakfest at the restaurant.
