We arrived in 30 degrees heat to a room without air-conditioning or even a fan, the room faced the afternoon sun as well.|You have to travel to it's sister hotel to check in and then we had to drive back there to collect a fan, this was a large oscillating fan but it was not very powerful. |Most of the plug sockets did not work, so was awkward to charge phones, run a fridge and run the fan.

Decent budget hotel, but note that check-in is at a different location (Hotel Santa), around 700 meters from the stay. Carrying luggage during winter was a bit inconvenient. The property has a small kitchen in the basement, which is a plus. It’s within walking distance of Rovaniemi city center. However, there are no additional services like laundry, cleaning, or towel/bedsheet changes. Overall, an average budget option, but spending 20% more could get you a better property with in city limits.

We just need a place to sleep for 1 night - checked in at close to 11pm and leave by 10am in the morning. So we booked this basic/budget accom and it exceeded my expectations for its category. We booked a room with 3 beds although we travelled as a couple so it was spacious enough. As many mentioned, the check-in was at Santa Hotel but it was not a problem if you are driving, its just a short drive away. Parking coupon provided to park at the back of the premise. Basic amenities provided: coffee/tea sachets, soap, hot water shower, towels etc. Room was clean and warm enough. Minor con - lack of power points (but an extension cord was provided in the room).

I have booked this hotel for December 2025. Have emailed numerous times to alter my booking to one day before and no replies!! I can't believe they just don't reply!!||Have emailed them to an email off site but still nothing, but can see that they have read my messages through booking.com but nothing. To add insult to that then I realized I was charged an extra $12 and have no idea why and it wasn't the exchange rate. So now I have to cancel my booking with no refund and re book elsewhere as they wont interact with me?||Absolutely shocking customer service. ||||Disclaimer: I have not stayed here yet as it is booked for December 2025 but when making this complaint I had to select a date of when I went and it doesn't allow me to proceed without selection. So I selected December 2024 to proceed with the complaint.

Room is clean, but the heater is still a little bit not enough. There is no reception, you have to walk around 10 mins to the counter which is inconvenient in winter

On my recent visit to Rovaniemi, Finland, I stayed at Hotel Rudolf with a friend. The location is quite central and convenient with free parking to the rare of the hotel. Room was quite small then expected. However, had all the required facilities with an exception that there is no concierge. It was located at a different hotel about a KM away. What disappointed us is that there was no room cleaning services (change of towels, tidying of bed linen, etc.) which you would expect each day. Not to mention, there were no extra towels for next days. If this service was provided, I would stay it would be a superb stay.

I was very skeptical about this accommodation after looking at the poor reviews. However, since we had no other accommodations available, we went ahead and booked it anyway. I have to say I was positively surprised with the experience. The only annoying part of course is the check in in a different hotel but apart from that the place itself is quite good. Walkable distance to the city centre and also to bus stops that take you to the most important destinations. There is also a nice Chinese restaurant in the same building which offers a good buffet and a well priced menu(also their portion sizes are quite big compared to other places in Rovaneimi). Overall I am quite happy we chose this place and would happily recommend it!

It was an ok hotel if you only need it for sleeping. Beds where good. Bathroom was dated and smelled a bit. Walls are very thin so bring earplugs. We stayed for 2 nights so it was doable. There's no breakfast in the hotel but there was a waterboiler and some tea in the room.

Stayed here in the winter of '13. Nominally this is a hostel, but in practice it's more like a simple hotel. There were no dorm rooms available when I was there, and all private rooms came with a desk, small TV and bathroom. It was quite expensive - more like what you would expect of a simple hotel too. There is no receptionist, so you have to check in at the reception of the associated hotel in the center of town. The room was clean and quiet, but the interior was pretty bleak. There were a few couches in the hallway, but otherwise no common areas.
