The town of Ravello is charming with breathtaking views all around, and Hotel Rufolo is no exception. The hotel grounds were stunning with sweeping views of the ocean from the mountaintop. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful! We spent a couple of afternoons on the terrace for drinks and food when the rest of the town was closed between 3:00-6:30pm. We stayed for 4 nights in a superior room with ocean view (room 428), the room and bathroom were larger than our other accommodations in Rome and Positano. The one thing that left a lot to be desired was the bed, as they pushed 2 twin beds together, and you could tell they were both very old spring mattresses so there were springs out of place and a gap down the middle. Overall, a lovely stay in Ravello but a decent bed to sleep in would have made it much better!

Our travel agent booked us here and we were disappointed with this choice. The view from our room was amazing but the room itself was tired and dated. You can tell that this hotel was probably wonderful a couple decades ago. My 90 year old in-laws would have loved it there. In fact, it felt very much like we were staying in their home. It is clean, well located and the staff is nice but the hotel is very much in need of an update and some love. We would not stay here again.

Ate lunch at their terrace restaurant: amazing view, very average food at best, in fact the only meal we had in 10 days that was’t good. The pour of the wine was pathetic/minute especially for the cost, ridiculous

The Light Snack Restaurant has the worst overpriced food and worst service ever. The service forgot our drinks and took away the olive oil and basamico as soon as she put down the bread (which was after our food was served). The food aas aweful: - deep fried seafood: The shrimp's vein wasn't removed and the head was still full of feces. The fried calamari was very chewy - Poke bowl: just cut vegetable on cold rice with raw thunfish. No taste, no spice at all. It's a shame to italien food.

Went to relax and have a glass of the house wine while visiting Ravello. I was told it was 8 euros for a glass, so I had 2 glasses. When I got the bill it was 18euros a glass!!! The waitress definitely misled me. This was NOT a language issue. I felt so ripped off.

Hotel Rufolo is a dream. The rooms are lovely and clean and we had the most beautiful terrace with the most incredible view. The staff is so lovely and accommodating. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. The hotel is very centrally located and you don’t have to walk up and down the side of the mountain to get to the hotel. It is a one minute walk to the pizzas and shopping. The restaurant is wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I hope to return soon.

What a hidden gem. Can’t say enough about our experience at Hotel Rufolo. We left Positano early as it was not our vibe. We booked a last minute reservation at Rufolo and from the moment we arrived we were treated with such care, kindness and hospitality. We were escorted to our rooms and shown in detail the amenities of the room and hotel. We took advantage of the pool and on property restaurant each day. The food and staff were impeccable. Some of the best food in Italy right here. If you are looking for a relaxing experience do not hesitate to stay at Rufolo.

I just experienced the bar outside I the garden with light meals. The view is absolutely amazing. It's a quiet area to run away from the crazy touristic pressure in the region. Food is nothing special, but it's enough to satisfy minimum requirements. But with such a view, we don't need amazing food to feel great. If it's not bad, it's fine.
