Hotel Rum Budapest

What a fantastic hotel - myself and my son (16) stayed here for 5 nights. We had a medium spiced room which was very clean and comfortable. The hotel arranged some balloons and chocolates at my request for the room, which was there when we arrived. We arrived early and were able to check in straight away. Staff on the front desk are fantastic especially the gentleman and the lady with blonde hair and glasses (apologies I do not know their names) bed was very comfortable and shower was great. Breakfast was served in the rooftop (solid restaurant) lovely views and food was lovely - al a carte menu and we tried a few of the options all were great along with our lattes and juice. Location was great, we walked nearly everywhere and had no problems at all. We did use the bolt taxi twice who were able to drop us outside the hotel. We were being picked up for the final day ay 19:00 and hotel were able to offer a later checkout however I wanted the room for longer so booked a smaller room for the night and were able to check out if one and straight to the other room. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest|Thank you for such a lovely stay!!

Loved this place! It’s right in the center of Budapest, so you can walk pretty much everywhere. The hotel itself is super modern and very clean. Breakfast was really good — you can choose what you want every morning, and the coffee was actually great. The view from the rooftop was the highlight for me — absolutely amazing!

A nicely-appointed hotel in a convenient, quiet neighbourhood. Easy access to metro stations and surface transit lines. Very walkable. Close to pedestrian shopping districts. The design is an eclectic mix of historical and modern styles. Our dark rum room was spacious. Quality of breakfast options were exceptional. This hotel was perfectly suited for our vacation.

Great hotel. As an American, some things that stood out were the mirrors on the ceiling above the bed as well as the height in the restroom from the floor to the step up shower. The breakfast on the 7th floor was great. Beautiful views. The proximity to a lot of great little restaurants was nice.

Absolutely loved my stay at Hotel RUM Budapest! The location is perfect — right in the heart of the city, close to everything. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the rooftop restaurant where breakfast is served is just gorgeous. Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, really clean and well thought out. Bed was so comfortable after a long day out exploring. Staff were so attentive and polite, always happy to help or give advice and directions. We arrived before check in, had emailed them ahead of time to see if they had a safe space for our baggage until room was ready, which they do have, but luckily our room was ready and we got straight in. They even emailed me to say I left footwear and would I like them sent back to me, cannot fault their honesty in the matter.|Was well placed for many sights to see. Would happily return to the hotel.

It's a great hotel, clean and tidy, it has an amazing breakfast room with views over the city, the breakfast itself is fantastic; it's in a great location with easy access to central Budapest sites, the staff are friendly and professional, highly recommended to all

I was misguided by laudatory reviews on both TripAdvisor and Tablet. |The location is indeed convenient in downtown Budapest with easy transportation connections.|But negatives are plenty: the hotel is marketing its rooftop but the access limited to breakfast time. You cannot go there to enjoy a warm and sunny afternoon. Breakfast menu tries to be sophisticated. The reality is the food is tasteless, poorly cooked and ridiculously expensive.|There is no hotel lounge where to seat and relax. You end up be confined in your room whose decoration is bleak and unwelcoming.|You can ignore this hotel.
