Hotel Rural La Posada De Alájar

We loved this place. First of all the village/town of Alajar is like a film set. Beautiful white houses little piazzas and narrow streets, that lead to a surprising variety of local shops, bars and restaurants. Some of the reviews here mention cleanliness and facilities. The hotel is now under new management and has had a full refurbishment. The rooms are simple, spacious and very clean. The air con was superb. We stayed 3 nights and it was perfect, walking in the town, eating too much, enjoying the beautiful open air town pool (only open July ad August). Coral our host was lovely and luckily spoke great English. Breakfast is continental self service style, although Coral did make me some scrabbled eggs. She also had the luxury of Yorkshire Tea, which for this Yorkshireman came as a very welcome surprise. I’d love to go back in cooler months to walk and maybe even cycle in the hills, in fact we’ve already booked!

The most enchanting guest house on the outskirts of Alajar.Hosts Lucy and Ángel are passionate about the area and the environment. They are warm , welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.|They can arrange the whole or part of a trip/ walks /picnics and are a wealth of local knowledge.

Absolutely loved this place - the small town of alajar manages to be both peaceful and yet lively in its own way - the main square hosts several bars which are always busy and do good food. The posada Hotel is a short walk away so feels peaceful yet close to the square. The rooms have all been recently refurbished by the owners coral and luis (coral speaks excellent english) and the main living area has a wonderful fireplace and wooden ceilings. Lovely breakfast in the morning and WiFi- will definitely be back

Es la primera vez que estamos allí mi marido y yo, pero Coral, es un auténtico encanto. La habitación está muy bien, la cama es muy cómoda, el baño quizás resulta un poco pequeño, pero está todo reformado de hace poco más de dos años. El alojamiento nos ha incluido el desayuno, café, pan de varios tipos, fruta, etc. Tipo buffet. Una sensación cálida y acogedora. A tres pasos de la Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Y hemos estado muy agusto. Gracias por todo.

Un lugar maravilloso para disfrutar unos días de relax y desconexión. La Posada está a un minuto de la animada plaza de Alajar y es un estupendo punto de partida para multitud de rutas en la sierra. La habitación amplia, muy limpia y luminosa. El desayuno muy bueno y agradable tomarlo frente a la chimenea. La dueña encantadora, amable y te hace la estancia especial.

Una estancia genial, la habitación muy grande y muy limpia, todos los detalles muy cuidados, la dueña una persona excelente y el trato inmejorable, el desayuno estilo buffet, había de todo y las instalaciones amplias y muy cuidadas, seguro repetiremos, para nosotros un 10.
