Hotel Rural Plaza Mayor Chinchon

We found this gem of a hotel purely by chance as we were looking for somewhere to stay not too far from Madrid on our last night in Spain. To say we were delighted is probably an understatement. The setting is stunning. We had a top floor room overlooking the square/bullring, the view is amazing. ||The system for checking into the hotel is fairly unique...as mentioned by a previous reviewer it is necessary to collect the keys from the owner, Carla, who has another property nearby. We did not feel inconvenienced by this, it added to the experience of staying in Chinchon. ||The room was very comfortable and we loved the decor. ||We highly recommend this hotel.

right in the middle of a beautiful square a lovely small hotel (4 rooms) with balcony looking over the square. neat room with good bathroom and a very comfy bed. the amount of hotel stars is in Spain NOT a good way to rate a hotel. This is way more luxutious than one star. reception is at another hotel nearby, also there a great value breakfast. The manageress is friendly and speaks English Dutch Spanish and maybe more. I almost don't want to give this jewel a review as it maybe later difficult to get a room!

An extremely comfortable bed in a delightful bedroom. The location is perfect made all the better by an amazing host who couldn’t do enough for us to ensure our stay was perfect. A fantastic find which was unbelievably good value.

Although classed as a hotel in listings, the accommodation consists of rooms within the historical buldings directly overlooking Plaza Major with its own secure entrance. Carla the owner also has a B&B a short distance away, Hotel Rural Casa de Marquesa and it is from here that keys are collected. There is also the option of taking breakfast there is required. Free parking available at San Sebastian about 5 minutes walk away. Head towards Iglesia de la Asuncion off the main square where signs for the car park can be picked up.||The rooms themselves are lovely. Furnished in dark wood with quality furnishings and fittings and a terrific balcony with great views directly onto Plaza Major. Choose one of the top floor rooms for the best views.

What a lovely 3 nights in this hotel. Everything perfect from start to finish.|Such a relaxing town to recharge your batteries |Would certainly recommend.|Hotel so modern in a traditional setting. Will certainly recommend and will return.

Clean, modern and self contained with a nice view of the Plaza. This would be a great place to stay come bullfighting season.

A lovely place in an amazing position on the Plaza Mayor. Could do with a little more storage, draws or cupboards.
