The room is full of character with lots of charm and high quality furnishings. Extremely clean and comfortable in a great location. Very friendly and helpful lady on reception. Very reasonable price too.

😊: The location was very good and easy to find with pay and display parking at the side. (We paid €7.50 for two days). The continental type breakfasts were excellent value for money at €4 each. Albarracin is a wonderful medieval town and quite steep so wear sensible asking shoes.. 😢: As it is an old refurbished building there is no lift and most bedrooms were at least one flight up..

😊: Extremely comfortable stay in high-quality accommodation. The location was great. The staff were helpful and the town is beautiful. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and walks.. 😢: Nothing.

We stayed at the Don Diego room, two floors up with no lift available. That said, the room is worth the two flight of stairs. It is a huge room with lots of windows and thus plenty of fresh air and sunlight. The room is absolutely spotless with vintage decor and modern bathroom fittings. The water pressure to the shower is very strong. Bedding and towels are plush and comfortable. It feels like being in a fairy tale room but without any musty old smells. We are torn between luxuriating in the room and exploring the village. Our highest compliments to the caretakers of this lodging. Take note that checking in takes place at Hotel El Gallo next door. The reception is at the first floor - another walk up with no lifts. They also offer breakfast at 3.50euros with coffee, a glass of orange juice, toast with tomato, two mini muffins and some jam. Parking is easily available out front. Pay at the parking machine and display the ticket on the car dashboard. 4euros a day.

Wonderful find. Great little place to stay, very well located. The rooms have a lovely decor and a fantastic view, very comfortable and super clean, only thing the room doesn't have phone to connect with reception.

These rooms are spotlessly clean, smell good and have an attractive decor with a splash of spanish charm. Our ensuite had a full bath with overhead shower. The location is fantastic. There is free parking across the road in 2 parking areas. If both are full as they tend to be during the middle of the day, especially on weekends, you will have passed another large, free open air cark park about 400m down the road. Although the hostel is right on the main road, the double glazed windows keep traffic and pedestrian noise to a very acceptable level. Noise from other rooms was not an issue. There is a lovely park and river adjoining the carpark. Most rooms have a view over the park and up to the village above. The 3 Euro breakfast consisted of a glass of juice, a coffee or tea, toast with butter and jam and 2 quite tasty sponge fingers in a cellophane bag - a fair price but a forgetable eating experience in this magical town. I recommend you find the bakery at the top of the village for some outstanding pastries and bread. It is situated on top of the Portal de Molina (a town gate). There is another bakery in the main plaza and directly opposite is a great little bar that makes coffee.||The owners of the hostel also run the shop/reception on the ground floor. They speak no English but tried very hard to be helpful. The lady managed to draw an excellent 'mud map' explaining how to drive to the prehistoric cave paintings.||I found the mattress too hard for my midle aged bones and woke the first morning with a stiff back. Using the blanket as padding the next night helped. My husband did not find it an issue. The bed had the one long pillow that seems common in Spain, which we are not use to. The person who cleaned the room next morning realised we were using the seat cushions as pillows and kindly provided a second long pillow.||My only concern with this hostel is the lack of security when rooms are being cleaned. I returned midmorning to find all the bedroom doors unlocked while the one cleaner did her job. Had I wished to, the oppoirtunity was there to enter other people's rooms so don't assume your valuables are safe because you locked the door. She does lock the doors when finished.||There is no lift but you will need to be able to walk considerable distances uphill to explore this town.

This is Spain's best village in our opinion. Fantastic scenery and hikes. We stayed in the sister hotel 'Parada de Carmen', at the *top* of the hill. Not for the elderly, for sure, but we were OK with a baby/stroller. Elderly should stay at the Rodeno location.||||Service was fantastic, rooms were clean, breakfast was simple but filling with smiling service.||||Highly recommended!
