Hotel Ryumeikan Tokyo is right across from Tokyo Station Yaesu North Entrance, and easy to wheel luggage to if you take the train from the airport or to/from meetings. The lobby is on the 15th floor with rooms below, and is staffed with helpful people. Everything was clean. I booked a standard room which was tiny but actually clean, new, comfortable, and very quiet. You should request a room with a window that looks out rather than to the building next door. While the bathroom was small, it was efficient and they provide lots of toiletry amenities. It worked because I was there for only 3 nights, but if many more nights there would be scant space to store clothes. No closet, just pegs on the wall, which is fine for 4 hangars. I would stay there again. I did not eat food there.

This hotel is located diagonally opposite Tokyo station so is a good choice for those using the Japanese train network, particularly Shinkansen and JR Yamanote line. Some floors have self service laundry facilities which are reasonably priced. Downside is standard rooms are very small, and unfortunately for us we had a view of the wall of the next building. But still a good hotel.

Thank you again for acknowledging my review I truly enjoyed my stay at your property. I’m considering extending my stay and was wondering if there are any promotion codes or special offers available for returning guests. Your hospitality has been exceptional, and I’d love to explore more of the area while staying with you. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response! My husband and I are currently staying here on our first trip to Tokyo, visiting from Denver, Colorado and we’re really enjoying it. The hotel feels like a quiet retreat in the middle of the city. The rooms are set up like modern studio apartments: simple, clean, and uncluttered, which makes it feel very comfortable and relaxing. We love how quiet it is, thanks to the excellent soundproofing and blackout window blinds perfect for getting rest after a long day of exploring. The bathroom is another highlight: it’s sleek and modern, and the toilet has all the high-tech features we’d heard about in Japan multiple wash options, a built-in dryer, and automatic seat controls. It’s definitely been a fun and luxurious experience! So far, everything has exceeded our expectations, and we’re really happy with our choice to stay here.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Ryumeikan. The location was excellent, we could choose to walk to 3 stations (Tokyo station is just a 5 min walk away) which made travelling around a breeze. ||The service was consistently excellent from the moment we arrived. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready to assist, whether it was helping us book tickets, delivering amenities promptly, or answering our questions with a smile.||Our room was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with quality amenities. When we reported an unusual (but not spooky!) sound at night, the staff acted swiftly and arranged a room change, which we appreciated deeply. A thank you to the lady who supported the change of room. ||A special highlight was the in-room foot massager we rented, a lovely touch after a day of walking in Tokyo! While the breakfast spread was not vast, every item was well-prepared and tasty. ||Highly recommended for travelers who value sincere hospitality, comfort, and convenience in the heart of Tokyo. We’ll definitely return!

Stayed here for 3 nights for my first trip to Tokyo. Absolutely loved it and will stay again. Great breakfast and restaurant. Rooms were small but nice and well equipped. Staff were nice and helpful, and prebooked several reservations for me prior to arrival. Also loved the convenient location. Pub downstairs nice to have too. Nothing but good things to say about our experience!

We’ve stayed here on two separate trips to Tokyo and have nothing but good things to say. The location is great, across the road from Tokyo Station, lots of good restaurants near by and within walking distance to Akihabara and the Imperial Palace. The rooms were clean and a good size for Japan. Would definitely recommend. 👍🏼

Google
very smart fancy hotel, less than ten minutes on foot from tokyo station (Yaesu north exit). Nothing to say: large comfortable room, everything provided including free water bottles everyday, friendly staff (we bought the gorgeous yukata provided in the room). If going back to Tokyo I will probably choose a different location, a more affordable neighbourhood, but as to the hotel it's really worth

Google
It is very close to the train station and shopping district. The staff at reception is very helpful and can speak fluent English. We stayed in the premium suite with 2 beds and tatami. The size of the room is decent. The bathroom has separate areas for the shower and toilet. There are free water bottles, beers, coke, Japanese beverages in the fridge which are refilled on the daily basis. We also used the fancy tea set to make green tea . Very nice hotel and stay here again.

Yelp
I booked early and was able to find a really good deal for this hotel during cherry blossom season. The location is perfect- few minutes walk from both Tokyo Station and the subway. Prior to arrival, I sent the hotel a million emails including request for restaurant reservation assistance. They answered every email quickly and patiently. One of our restaurants didn't allow bookings until a month before any they actually remembered to call again on their own. They even told us which places are cash only. After arrival, the service was just as good, which isn't always the case. On the day of arrival, all 3 at the front desk worked to try to find us a place to have dinner as it was holiday weekend and the restaurants were super busy. They offer luggage shipping to next destination and will fill out all the paperwork. The $16 to ship a full size suitcase is worth every penny. The rooms are compact, which is standard for Japan, especially Tokyo. They used the space well though and the room had everything. Their toiletries were great, even including hair ties and headbands. The shampoo and conditioner smelled so nice too. The hotels in Japan do not provide both lotion so bring your own. When we checked out, we gave the staff some chocolates we bought at the department store. I've never done this at a hotel before but they were just lovely. Next time I'm in Japan, I will definitely plan on staying here again.

Yelp
This hotel has a great location by the Tokyo main train station. The rooms are on the smaller side, which is what you expect for a hotel at a central location. They provide both Western pajamas and Japanese kimonos to wear in the rooms. The bathroom amenities are minimal, which is fine for me. For my room, the bathroom flooring was uneven (1 star off), which made me almost trip a few times. Other than that, this is a no-frills, convenient hotel to stay at near the train station.

Yelp
Excellent location, comfortable room and great value! We stayed at Hotel Ryumeikan for the first 3 days of our stay in Tokyo and we loved the convenience of the location. Located at the Yaseu North exit at the Tokyo station, this hotel is within steps of bus limousines from the airport and 15 minutes walk from the Imperial Palace and shopping district at Ginza. For our stay, we had the deluxe room with king bed. It came with comfortable bed, separate washroom with bathtub and shower, vanity room and a toilet room with smart Toto toilet. We felt the room to be fairly spacious given most rooms in Tokyo were very small. I loved the concept of a separate washroom as you could relax in a long shower without tying up the rest of the bathroom. Our stay for 3 nights was $755. We did not choose the breakfast option as we had ample breakfast choices being so close to Tokyo station. Check in/out was fast and staff spoke fluent English. Overall, this hotel offers great value for the money and location!

Yelp
Tokyo being one of the most expensive cities in the World. It is not an easy task to find decent affordable centrally located hotels at a good price. Of course you can stay in hostels or even a "capsule' hotel, but I guess I am a little too "old" for that. Hotel Ryumeikan located 10 minute walk from Tokyo Station. So if you are using Narita Express, it is super convenient! And Keisei bus stop to Narita is almost right in front of the hotel. There are also tons of restaurants, bars and shopping within walking distance! If not one can hop on the subway or even JR that would take you to rest of Japan. Check in process was simple and the staff has good command of English if you cannot speak the Japanese. My single room FORUS-A "Discovery" has all the amenities that made me happy. Nespresso Machines, Shisedo skin care, Toothbrush, brush, comb, cotton & cotton tip set, body towel, shower cap, hair bands, Triple C shampoo/conditioner/body soap, nightwear, free bottle of water, kettle and more. So I basically just need to bring a change of clothes and I am all set! Room is adequate in size for single and quite roomy for Tokyo standard. I love all the modern gadgets that makes my stay interesting and comfortable. air purification system with humidifier?! Comfort Sleep system? I also love the self serve laundry service 200 Yen per wash and 100 Yen per drying. I wish all the hotels has that available! Book 30 days in advance and it is 30% off rack rate. Now I know where to stay next time when I am doing a stopover in Tokyo again!

Yelp
Ryumeikan is a solid and safe hotel, conveniently located across the street from Tokyo Station. The reception is located on the top (15th) floor. I've had the pleasure staying at this economical hotel on two trips. On my most recent trip I had my pocketwifi delivered to front desk a day before my arrival and during checkin, without having to say anything, they had it ready to hand over. Service is outstanding. Everyone is friendly and helpful. During both occasions, I chose the Forus room which has some pretty cool features. A comfort sleep system set-up. "The system created by Panasonic is one that ensures pleasant sleep by creating a sleeping environment with lights, sounds, and vibrations." The only thing that keeps me from wanting to stay here for a week is that the room had no natural light coming in. For longer stays, I recommend a bigger room with window views. Wifi is good and each room has an air-cleaner with humidifier. Bathroom is stocked with everything you need: razor, makeup cleaner, comb, tooth brushes, toothpaste , products from Sheisido, green tea shampoo, conditioner and bath wash, etc. This hotel is great and very beneficial for business travel. You basically just need a change of clothes. If you are coming straight to Tokyo it's best to take the Narita Express (NEX) directly to Tokyo Station. It should take about an hour. Tickets can be purchased at the airport. If you have a pre-purchased Japan Rail Pass, please note that your ride on the NEX is included. What you need to know: -- Most economical rooms do not have sky view windows. Will be blocked by building wall. -- Forus room include great complimentary amenities like (Nespresso, tea, water, mini fridge and rice crackers) -- Daimaru department store attached to Tokyo Station -- Has ice machines on certain floors -- Vending machine are available for beverages -- Coin operated laundry machines -- English friendly staff -- No closet, small section to hang clothes -- Sleeping yukata/pjs and slippers are provided in each room (common at most hotels in Japan) -- A unique offering are toe separators to stretch those tired feet from a long flight.

Yelp
We stayed at Ryumeikan for 8 nights in March 2016. We really appreciate the services and hospitality offered by the staff. They were friendly and assisted with number of restaurant reservations. The room (although small) was very cozy and clean. The acoustics of the hotel was nice. The amenities were excellent. The guests were friendly and respectful! There are two washing machines and dryers available (on 10th and 12th floor). The location is great, walking distance to Tokyo JR station and Metro (Nihonbashi station). Price was decent, didn't cost me an arm or a leg. I would stay here again!

Yelp
A bit expensive, but worth the price. My favorite hotel in Tokyo. Not as fancy as the Shangri-La, but as well located as the Shangri-La. Nice restaurant on the ground level and the at the highest floor. Many international business/leisure customers, and could be a little noisy depending on who your neighbors are. Time and agin, I keep coming back here on a business trip!

Yelp
Agree with others: good hotel selection if you are looking for something reasonably priced and comfortable close to Tokyo Station. Just a short walk from the extreme north exit of Tokyo Station (Nihombashi exit). Easy to fine (essentially on the corner), with en exit (A3) of the Ginza metro line within a half-block (around the corner from the hotel entrance). The coin laundry in floors 10 & 12 are super convenient! Comfy bed - my standard room had 2 different softness pillows...nice touch.

Yelp
Quite nice hotel and very close to Tokyo Station. I says it is a boutique hotel but in fact only the lobby is slightly boutiquesque .. Anyhow, personnel was very nice and the room was comfortable.

Yelp
Hotel Ryumeikan has a convenient location which is just a few blocks away from Tokyo Station. It's a very modern looking hotel and occupies the top portion of its building. In fact, you'll even need to take the elevator up to one of the upper floors to get to the reception desk. There you'll be greeted by a friendly English capable speaking staff, giving out warm towels and checking you in. I love the rooms. Despite being an average Japanese hotel room size (small), everything is super high tech for your convenience. From the shower with 5 different setting knobs, Nespresso machine, bedside console with additional controls for all the interior lights, to the motion sensing/auto flushing/seat warming toilet.

Yelp
A great experience, and well located within a half block of Shinjuku train station. Service was impeccable, and attention is paid to the fine details. For example, immediately after check-in, we received a personally delivered, complimentary Shiseido sampler. The wardrobe held a takefumi, bamboo massager, and the complimentary nightshirt, kimono and obi was replaced for each evening. The pattern on the kimono was specifically designed for the well appointed hotel. Astute marketing is subtly present - A postcard with an award winning design is offered on the nightstand to send to a recipient of your choice. The house will pay the postage to anywhere in the world.

Yelp
After being awake over 30 hrs and landing at 430 am, we were hoping for an early check in for 2 prepaid rooms around 10 am if it was possible but they were full. They are by the books and say we must wait until 2pm even though more than 20 couples (not even exaggerating) have already checked out from 9am-12pm while we sat in the lobby. All we want to do is sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. lol. So they had 4 people dozing off in the lobby during our 6 hour lobby wait until we got checked in. The front desk staff is friendly but not accommodating in the hotel industry sense where all other hotels I have checked into did not make me wait 6 hours for the first available room. We got to our room and I was very underwhelmed with the size. Its basically a full sized firm mattress bed (with one foam pillow and one sobakawa pillow) and a desk with a walkway in between. There is no dresser, no drawers, no closet, no storage space whatsoever. They do offer three hangers on a hook on the wall by the door and a short coat rack that i felt took up valuable floor space in this tiny room. We are fine with living out of the suitcase.... if only they had enough room to open your luggages without playing Tetris with the luggage, furniture and spouse in the valuable walkway real estate. Two people cannot walk in the walkway at the same time. The bathroom is like a cruise ship bathroom where everything is basically right up against each other: toilet right against the sink, which is right against the deep Japanese soaking tub. The amenities provided in the bathroom were pretty cool. I've never seen a full line of facial cleanser/moisturizers offered in a hotel before. This hotel is super convenient across from the Tokyo station and is very clean.

Yelp
As others have mentioned, the hotel is in a great location. It is a relatively short walk to Tokyo Station, which is great for travel, eating and shopping. Tokyo station is home to many shops including many great ramen places. It's a great central station that allows to you easily travel. In addition, the Narita express stops here which makes for easy travel when coming in from Narita. Location aside, the hotel was amazing for us. I e-mailed them a few weeks prior to our stay to ask for restaurant reservations. They were able to secure reservations for us at two places that are tough to book. I mentioned in my email that the dinner reservations were to celebrate our engagement. They remembered this small detail in the email and surprised us with a small engagement gift. It was gestures like this that made the hotel stay special. In addition, they were quick to respond when we had an issue with one of our overseas electronic appliance. The hotel itself provides a ton of amenities and supplies (toothbrushes, hairbrushes, shaving cream etc). The hotel itself is on the upper levels of a building with the lobby being on the 15th floor. Our room was on the 12th floor, which means when entering the building, you rarely ever need to re-visit the lobby until checkout. A keycard gives you access to only your floor. However, the lobby does provide a computer and a place to print things if you need to. Each floor of the hotel has a small room with an ice machine, vending machines, and coin operated washer/dryer. For a few hundred yen you could wash a decent amount of your clothing. It was convenient if Tokyo is a part of a longer trip. The rooms were small but then again this is Asia. The beds were great and comfortable. We appreciated the many outlets in the room and the cleanliness. The showers were also the best hotel showers I've ever experienced. They pressure was almost too strong. Long story short, the staff here are incredible and helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The location is great. Highly recommended!
