Yelp
Ryumeikan is a solid and safe hotel, conveniently located across the street from Tokyo Station. The reception is located on the top (15th) floor.
I've had the pleasure staying at this economical hotel on two trips. On my most recent trip I had my pocketwifi delivered to front desk a day before my arrival and during checkin, without having to say anything, they had it ready to hand over.
Service is outstanding. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
During both occasions, I chose the Forus room which has some pretty cool features. A comfort sleep system set-up. "The system created by Panasonic is one that ensures pleasant sleep by creating a sleeping environment with lights, sounds, and vibrations."
The only thing that keeps me from wanting to stay here for a week is that the room had no natural light coming in. For longer stays, I recommend a bigger room with window views.
Wifi is good and each room has an air-cleaner with humidifier. Bathroom is stocked with everything you need: razor, makeup cleaner, comb, tooth brushes, toothpaste , products from Sheisido, green tea shampoo, conditioner and bath wash, etc. This hotel is great and very beneficial for business travel. You basically just need a change of clothes.
If you are coming straight to Tokyo it's best to take the Narita Express (NEX) directly to Tokyo Station. It should take about an hour. Tickets can be purchased at the airport. If you have a pre-purchased Japan Rail Pass, please note that your ride on the NEX is included.
