I spent several weeks on and off at the Hotel Sabra during the summer of 2014 and I was extremely impressed with the experience. For budget (or even mid-range) travelers, the hotel offers one of the best value experiences in Tunisia. The rooms are clean with high ceilings and professionally maintained, all for an extremely reasonable price. The shared showers may not look like much, but they offered consistently hot water with amazing water pressure - some of the best showers I took during my time in the country. Beyond its impressive price to quality ratio however, the hotel possesses three unique advantages. ||||First, the location is perfect: right in front of the entrance to the ancient Medina and close to supermarkets, banks, restaurants and cafes. Second, the view from the roof is superb: overlooking the Medina, one can see the minarets of ancient mosques silhouetted against the invariably blue sky. Finally, I need to say a special word of praise for the hotel's management which I found to be extremely professional and extraordinarily honest: Mr. Ali who manages the property was very trustworthy - he has good values and will always deal with guests with sincerity and generosity. It was a pleasure to know him.
