I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Safir. It's in the heart of the old town in Sarajevo. The staff was extra friendly and helpful, my room was spacious, modern and clean - it even had a small kitchen in it. It was worth way more than what I paid for! Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Sarajevo.

I believe this was my third stay in this small hotel. This time, I was given a card key which I could use to open the door, and I realized I did not see anybody at the reception often. My room which I stayed before has not changed much. Twin beds, bathroom, kitchen, a big closet, TV, etc. Wifi works very well for a video stream or database work. Shower temperature is great. Wish to have a bit more water pressure. But this time something was not right. For example, the bathroom did not have toilet paper in place. I didn't ask for it as I had a roll of toilet paper with me. A cup with sugar was dirty... The remote of the TV did not work... The people I interacted was more business like. I hope the hotel can keep up with the good quality and hospitality as they had before. I may try this place one more time for the next time, but will also look for other locations a bit more.

The worst experience ever! They had totally wrong information on booking site, they it said that they have had parking place, but could not be farther from the truth. They actually have a public parking nearby, which is not you bargain for, if you are just passing by and it is necessary to have a car at hand to travel on. I booked the place SOLELY for they have stated that they have secured parking on request. They don't. They do it in arrangement with another hotel, so it is ridiculous - you can book that hotel then instead. Why bother with Safir then? It was late at night, I sent my request but I had no parking provided. As I said, I was tired and cold, and in such case you are not in the mood "just to try to park over there". The second choice? Leave in front of the shop but we do not guarantee that police won't take it. Horrible! I had to find another hotel with proper parking at such late hours, which, of course, made me additional costs. AH, yeah, they charged the room. Or booking.com. Whoever it is, they are cheating people, because on page was clearly stated that you can have parking at request.

This place could have been so much better and we were really quite disappointed.||||The location is really near the old town, but down a small alleyway off of a really cluttered side road.||||We chose to stay here because it was close to town and they say they have on site parking for 5 Euros a day, which we reserved with our booking.||On arrival they said that they don't actually have any parking, but to go to a busy public car park a few minutes walk away costing 8 Euros a day. Nothing was reserved and luckily we could get a space.||Had we known this, we would have probably stayed somewhere else.||||The room was OK and strangely whilst it is sold as a studio with a kitchenette, a notice in the room said you were prohibited from using the cooking facilities or washing your clothes in the room. ||||The room wasn't cleaned during our stay and we had to ask for towels each day.||||Breakfast was OK and was supposed to be from 7.00 AM. One day we went down at 7.45 and it still wasn't laid out.||||Good WiFi and aircon.

the location is perfect, 200m from Bascarsija. The cleanliness and hygiene are excellent. Very comfortable. Very friendly and always ready to help.|Although it has wifi throughout the hotel, it may improve the signal, and occasionally the interruption is lost.

Friendly staff, amazing location at the city center, but in a quiet alley. Room was nice and clean. Equipment not too fancy, but sufficient. ||We recommend this place if you want quite yet accessible hotel.

We found this hotel on booking.com. I decided to check the hotel's Tripadvisor site, it seemed great (It is great, trust me.)||||The hotel is located close to the Old Town.||It is in a small street, therefore, it is quiet||There is a shop nearby and naturally dozens of bakeries .||The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful.||It looks like on the pictures above.||It is a great hotel if you are about to explore Sarajevo.
