Well, we paid for a so-called "Triple room", we were given a tiny room, with a double bed & a single bed. No refrigerator as mentioned in the document, 1 & a half toilet rolls, 1 tiny electric kettle, no milk, just sachets of coffee & tea. I'm already not liking France, since we were nearly scammed €70 @ the airport for a taxi ride that eventually costed us €20. Beware, do your home work with Google maps, quite helpful, as in this case with the hotel & taxi. Let's see how the stay progresses.

Room was very small, difficult to open 2 large suitcases together. Hotel is close to Orly airport. It's a little far from the city Centre but can be reached there in public transport. The street is pretty lively. Hotel doesn't have too many veg options.

The hotel is in a good location, and you can get nearly anywhere in central paris within 30 minutes. Although the rooms were slightly smaller than they seemed in the pictures, they were clean and well-kept. The price was very reasonable and the staff were nice. Close to the hotel there are plenty or restaurants and bakeries, and the neighborhood is relatively quiet.

Rooms on the smaller size, but keept very clean. Great service. We asked for an early check-in, and not only were they able to accommodate, but they did it earlier than expected/requested. Not quite downtown, but taking into account the Parisian public transportation system - close enough. If you love walking, it's within 30 - 40 minutes to the Eiffel Tower. Will recommend it to friends, and I will definitely consider going there again.

Stayed in hotel in Jan 24, with my 8 female family members. It's is very clean, well decorated and in the lovely area of Butte Aux Calles.. The price was very good. Rooms a bit small but well laid out and probably bigger than most rooms in Paris. It's about 25/30 mins to Eifel tower but Metro is just 5 mins walk. There are lovely little bakeries, bars and restaurants in the surrounding area.

This is an excellent hotel, especially if you want to be in the 13th arrondissement near the Gobelins, Musee des Plantes, the lovely community fresh water swimming pool and Place Italie. The 13th arrondissement is the hip place to stay, very young vibe on the Left Bank.||My husband and I stayed in a single room on the fourth floor that had a great mattress. My husband is 71 yrs, with a quirky back, 6ft 5, 275 lbs and always had a great night sleep. Plus he was thrilled with the elevator and the superb breakfast. The staff was lovely and all the conveniences (toiletries, hair dryer, etc) were included. ||I am returning to France in May to pick up medications (much cheaper that in the US) and to visit the Canal du Midi and the Riviera. We'll be in Paris for a couple days, and Hotel St. Charles is our "to stay" place.

Small business hotel sized rooms but comfortable. The added advantage was that the windows can open which adds a whole new dimension! Rest of the hotel experience is very business hotel like (Ibis etc). Location is nice !

Lovely simple hotel but in great neighbourhood! The hotel room was very small as was our bathroom but it was clean and bed super comfortable! Friendly staff. Loads great restaurants and bars nearby. A fair distance from most attractions but well worth it as quite peaceful at night.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed in Paris for a week on vacation. While we were here we stayed at this hotel for three days. I wish we stayed longer. Located in the south west part of Paris. This was the nicest place we stayed in Paris. As for the price, we paid a lot more staying in different places within the city. The rooms were nice. I posted some pics. Modern, clean and the hotel was very close to bars, restaurants, bakeries, bus stops, a grocery store, a post office and about a mile from the metro. Everything was within walking distance. Which was a plus if you didn't have a rental car. There was even a shopping mall that we visited about a mile and a half away from the hotel. The room also had a small fridge. Unfortunately, the fridge only chilled anything you put in it. There is also no freezer. As with many places in Paris. Drinks are served chilled not ice cold. They also do not serve ice. Which is a bummer. I prefer my drinks ice cold like my water, soda and beer. The room did come with a nice small flat screen TV. The only channels that were on the TV were mostly French speaking channels with two English speaking news channels. It was awesome to see "Malcolm In The Middle" and "The Simpsons" in French. Doesn't matter what language these two shows are in. They are funny as hell. Across the street is also one of the best restaurants I have been to in Paris- A La Bonne Cave. Which I will review separately. The best meal I had in Paris was at this restaurant. As far as the stay at Hotel Saint Charles. The only bad thing was we had breaksfast every morning here thinking it was free. It was $14 per person and we stayed 3 days. So for my wife and I, it was $84 for all three days total. It was $84 we didn't plan to spend. The breakfast itself wasn't too bad. They had all kinds of bread, cheeses, fresh squeezed orange juice, scrambled eggs, fruit, cold meats, coffee and tea. It wasn't bad but if I knew it was $14 a person then I would of probably eaten breakfast at the hotel only once maybe twice but not all three days. Breakfast by the way is the only meal that they serve. No lunch or dinner but they have a bar lounge that serves cocktails throughout the day. The hotel also has a outdoor patio, no pool. Where you can sit and relax. My wife and I however didn't really use the patio. The weather was kind of wet and cold. We did more sight seeing away from the hotel. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again when I am in Paris. The staff is nice and courteous. The price to stay here is very competitive compared to other places you could stay. Has a great shower. Other places we stayed at had a bathtub no shower. For me, a shower is a must. The hotel has a elevator. Some older hotels have only a spiral staircase. If you have luggage it's a pain going up and down. A very nice hotel. If your in Paris. Give this place a try.

Yelp
If your are looking for a reasonable hotel in Paris - that's the place to be. Beside of the hotel rooms, which are now kind of stylish (after renovating everything), the neighborhood is very typical and no so tourist driven. Clean and practical rooms w/ the opportunity to open up the window.
