Some rooms have views of the ocean and Pyrenees Mountains. Breakfast is served every morning in the dining room or on the hotel’s terrace. It can also be served in your bedroom at an extra cost. "Set a few blocks from the beach on a tree-lined block, the charming Hotel Saint-Julien feels like a throwback to another era. This guesthouse-style boutique occupies a traditional 19th-century house with an ivory stucco facade and wooden shutters painted deep red, and many of its original features remain, including pine flooring, marble fireplaces, and antique staircases. There’s a wonderful simplicity to the place — don’t expect a pool, gym, or spa, just a cozy dining room where a sumptuous Basque breakfast spread is laid out each day, and a colorful cocktail bar with open-air seating framed by citrus trees." - Tablet Hotels

I’ve been to the area a dozen times or so; this hotel was a very nice experience. Situated in an old renovated villa, you get high ceilings, a good bed and a bathroom with excellent shower. It’s in a quiet area of town; staff are very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Surprise, they even have real coffee, not that capsule-stuff some other hotels offer. The floor is real wood, not plastic made to look like it. I loved it all. Only one slight warning: the parking situation fits the age of the building. I ended up staying in a regular parking within walking distance. Overall, will certainly visit again

The Saint-Julien is one of my favorite places to stay in France. The whole Saint-Julien team are welcoming, thoughtful, and kind. It feels like a home away from home and I always look forward to staying here. Of particular note is the very enjoyable morning breakfast to kick off a day of exploring in Basque Country. Thank you all for your generosity of spirit and for another great stay.

Great location within easy reach of the beach and restaurants. Comfortable room. Very quiet. Charming and attentive staff. A couple of minor problems were acted on promptly when they were pointed out. Breakfast selection was good and replenished when necessary. Good WiFi. Could perhaps invest in electrical sockets/ USB charging sockets.

Nice hotel, good central location, very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent with freshly cooked eggs (made however you’d like them) alongside croissants, pan au chocolat, bread, jam, hams and a couple of different cheeses. Also coffee/hot chocolate and different juices. Croissants or pan au chocolat were available throughout the day in the foyer too which was another nice touch. We paid extra and parked in the on site car park (€20/night), which was very useful.

We stayed only two nights at the St Julien in Biarritz and it was superb. The most cloud comfortable beds, beautiful hotel and absolutely gorgeous, hospitable staff. I enjoyed my stay immensely. Breakfast was delightful and we loved the intimate garden setting to enjoy an afternoon drink and snack after a big day touring the town. Central to all our needs and just far enough out of the main areas to be peaceful. Exceptional in all respects. Merci

Absolutely stunning oasis of calm amidst the sometimes frenetic pace of Biarritz.||Rooms are luxurious and inedible well-appointed; common areas include a cumfy lounge with Baord games, beautiful outside space, terrace bar.||At the bar (and resto) the wine list is shockingly extensive, non-alcoholic drinks options inspired.||Breakfast is outstanding and features a plethora of local produce.||All staff are friendly and welcoming.||It’s off th chaos of the beach, but a short walk to the various restaurants and shopping area.||Honestly, we wish we had more time here! An excellent spot that could not be more highly recommended.

A wonderful hotel located within easy walking distance (4 to 5 min's) to restaurants and shops. We only wish we had a longer stay. The rooms are delightful. For those concerned with practicalities, there is a lift; the staircase is wide; staff speak English very well, were very tolerant of my clumsy French, helpful for information, maps and recommendations; the room had an air conditioner (a rarity in Europe); there is, however, no small refrigerator, which was no great hardship. Loved the welcome note. 🍷🇫🇷

This was a perfect choice for us in Biarritz. Our room, as requested, had a beautiful view of the red roofed buildings and the sea. The room was small, as I had anticipated, but had all we needed. The style was casual elegance. Bed was comfy, bathroom fine, and we even had two delicious candies as a gift. We could easily walk to the market, center of town, many restaurants, and the beach.

Yelp
Coming to Biarritz for an evening, we wanted something in walking distance and this did not disappoint. The location is great as everything is within a 10-20 minute walk. For those with a car, there is limited parking for an additional fee. You may want to see if you can book a space ahead of time. If you do not want to park, we were able to find free street parking a few blocks away. Our car was safe and undisturbed. Note that we came in the low season so I do not know how easy street parking would be in the high season. The hotel is an older building with some modern updates. There is a small lobby and a breakfast room. Check in was flawless. The lady spoke fluent English which was most helpful as my French is rusty at best. She gave as an overview of Biarritz and made several recommendations. She even explained the parking situation and told us where we could find the free parking. We got our room keys (RF cards) and went to the room. We ordered a junior suite. There was no separate room. I guess the chaise lounge made it a suite. That being said, it was a nice size room with a comfortable bed. We were on the second floor and had a view of an alley. We could fully open the windows and take in the sea air. There was individual temperature control. The bathroom was spacious by European standards and there were slippers and robes. Linens were soft. Provide bath products were adequate. I found the room to be comfortable. The sleep quality was good. There was no noise at night. The Wi-Fi seemed fast, but we did not try to stream any movies or Netflix. It was fine for general surfing for sure. There is breakfast for an additional fee (16 Euros I believe), but we did not partake. I heard it was quite good. Check out was a breeze. We were able to store our bags as we roamed through Biarritz for the day. We came back to the hotel and grabbed them before departing. I gave this place five stars. We received individual attention at check in and the host was quite gracious. She took time to go over the sights at Biarritz and gave us suggestions. She also told us about the free parking and gave us opportunity to find it. The rooms are large and comfortable. The location is great. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
