We had a great stay. The hotel is beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. Regis, at the front desk is so kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. The location is in the heart of everything. The rooms are each unique. We had two rooms, both were very nice, we felt we had stepped into a designer magazine ! So pretty ! We loved our stay and Regis was so nice. Will definitely stay again. Definitely pre pay for parking it makes things much easier.

Lovely hotel in a perfect, quiet location. Very comfortable and cozy room with all the amenities one would expect from a four star hotel. Close to many restaurants, bars and a short walk up to the Saumur Chateau. Continental breakfast including pastries, cheeses, fresh fruit and organic juices and cereals was abundant. Would have given this a 5 star review if it were not for the lack of friendliness from the two gentlemen working here. We were greeted with surly faces, no warmth or smiles and upon leaving the older gentleman was gruff, did not thank us or wish us safe travels or a good journey as we left. The one exception was the lovely young lady at breakfast. If you’re expecting gracious hospitality this is not the place for you.

Wonderful, charming hotel in the heart of Saumur. Walking distance to all amenities, restaurants, cafes, and shops. A 5 minute walk to the Loire River, Chateau de Saumur, and within a short drive of neighboring towns, chateaux, and vineyards. The hotel is quiet, comfortable, clean, and the service is outstanding. The owner is very nice and helpful. The only drawback is limited parking but there is street parking and an inexpensive parking garage that is a 5 minute walk away. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing three-day stay in this delightful boutique hotel, ably run by Régis, who seemed to be at the desk from dawn to late. The breakfast was excellent and our room most comfortable. The decor of the hotel is most pleasing for those of us who appreciate well-maintained, historic buildings.We liked that our bathroom had two sinks – no taking turns brushing teeth! Regis made parking in this part of the old city easy, inviting us to leave the car where we could (usually in the small parking area of the hotel) and give him the key. In this way he could fit an astonishing number of cars into a small space. Two bonuses – the hotel is less than a minute on foot away from the Place St. Pierre with lots of dining options (try the Bistrot de la Place – excellent), and Régis cares for several cats (we never knew exactly how many) which nevertheless remain outside. In all, delightful. (As an aside, try the terrific restaurant l'Essentiel, a few minutes away on foot, where we enjoyed a most delicious dinner.)

My husband and I stayed in July. The hotel is excellently located, beautifully decorated with individual touches and interesting art and sculpture. Our deluxe room was beautiful with quiet air conditioning and luxurious bathroom products. The breakfast, with its wide range of produce , was outstanding. The hotel is understated elegance with quality and attention to detail. Regis’ wonderful hosting made our stay. Thank you.

A gem of a place. We stayed here for one night on our way back to London from our holiday in the Dordogne. We wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is elegant and tastefully furnished and our room was quiet and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and we had a wonderful night's sleep. The owner was very friendly and gave us information about places to eat as we were there on a Sunday night. All in all, I cannot fault this lovely hotel and would highly recommend it.

This is an absolutely charming, small hotel with beautifully appointed rooms displaying remarkable attention to detail. The decor is chic and the rooms, though small, are perfectly appointed with everything you would need—gorgeous toiletries, nice lines, extra pillows, a refrigerator stocked with water and drinks. Regis who assisted me with every detail of our stay is so kind and helpful. The hotel is located just beyond a square with some touristic restaurants. We arrived on a Monday which was unfortunate because all the good restaurants were closed but the hotel made up for this. The breakfast is equally beautiful and abundant. They will make you eggs and bring you ham and other items upon request. The range of what they offer is spectacular. This is a stylish, welcoming hotel and was the bright spot in our visit to Saumur.

From the welcome at reception to the last parting minute this was a wonderful experience. The hoteliers were friendly, professional and paid great attention to the details that matter to me. Set in a great location this hotels offers the magic you would expect of a hidden gem. Our room was very well appointed ( not big).|Wines in the bars were served with knowledgeable care, breakfast was wonderful with a fabulous array of home made / locally made preserves, fresh fruit, great coffee and pastries along with delicious crepes.|Parking is not so easy in the old town but the hoteliers helped us squeeze into their car park, which also offered EV (slow) charging.|Many excellent local restaurants available for dinner, but do book early as they are often full.|A great experience, would highly recommend.

Great location and rooms. Friendly staff and a great breakfast that included crepes and fresh fruit and an assortment of fresh bread. Room was quiet and clean. Very close to downtown and easy access to the Loire Valley
