Lovely hotel in the 6th Arrondissement. Absolutely charming.
Small rooms yes, but that is standard in Paris, and we were pleasantly surprised in being able to add a single bed in the room (small extra charge) for our six year old and still comfortably enjoy our stay.
The lobby is warm and cheery with a wood burning fireplace, fresh pastries left out at tea time, the NY Times on offer: a very sophisticated feeling to the stay.
The location was wonderful, on a quiet small street with very little street noise, but just down our tiny street were two excellent restaurants, a custom shoemaker and around the corner a variety of the type of shops and cafes that make this such a fantastic neighborhood to stay at in Paris. Rooms and lobby were well decorated, and the bathroom we had was immaculate with warm (hot!) water, fresh robes, towels that were generous and fluffy by European standards, and two pairs of slippers.
Breakfast at 15 Euro is expensive, but tasty (and really a standard price in Paris hotels, unfortunately) and the set up in the lobby is charming. We ordered one (a generous breadbasket, jams, etc.) and a second coffee, and we were perfectly set for the day.
The hotel staff were family friendly, spoke English and were happy to make reservations, hold bags, call taxis and make any arrangements needed to make ours a wonderful stay.
