We stayed for 3 nights and it was a really relaxing time. The hotel is located in a small charming town called Salinas de Imon around 150km from Madrid. It has a positive atmosphere and really nice old furniture. There are salon and small library available to everybody. Our room was excellent (Carlos III). ||The hotel is offering good breakfast and dinner. However, there are good places to eat in the surrounding towns; worth asking and checking. The menu in the hotel does not have enough variety to eat there every day. ||||We have not taken the hotel SPA (not so interesting as other options) as there is a fantastic SPA place just behind the corner called La Gloria de Imon; offering two saunas, hot bed, jacuzzi, nice tea, massage and swimming pool; everything based on different types of salt and with very limited number of people. The best time is to book it in the late evening so you will have 1,5h of pleasure surrounded by candles. Extremely relaxing and cool place. We took it few times including massage. Fully recommended.

We decided to go with the offer on the website: Spa, massage, dinner and two nights sleep. Unfortunately, there is no real Spa, we didn't get a massage and dinner was not that much of a success. Far more important, the host was not performing like he should: he did not ask us if we wanted to have a drink by the pool (and we couldn't find him during day time to ask for drinks) though it was very hot and the town is deserted so there's hardly any alternative to get drinks. He didn't speak a word of English so we couldn't comunicate. For example, we both ordered other dishes than were being served. Though he tried to be friendly and tried to be a nice person, it was clear he lacked tourism experience. ||||Furthermore he showed he was not amused we decided to go out and eat in siguenza the second night. When we confronted the host with the fact we didn't get a massage and that the offer included a massage, he spoke quick Spanish we couldn't understand. Still we had to pay the full amount. ||||Still, we had a good time. The rooms are beautiful and lovely, the lounge and gardens and pool are pretty, but one shouldn't advertise being a Spa and not offering anything of the kind. But it's a very pretty place.

Set in a small village the hotel is located in a historic building with plenty of historical features, tapestries, pictures, old furniture etc. The lay out of the bedroom was unusual with a tricky step in the dark down from bathroom to bedroom. There is a small swimming pool but couldn't find much evidence of the Spa. The service is friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant for breakfast (not included) and evening meal which we thought expensive. There is ample free parking outside. There is free WiFi which was a bit hit and miss. The village has an old church and it on the Ruta de Don Quijote for some interesting hiking, for example to an abandoned (although now being renovated) village and castle of Riba de Santiuste. Overall recommended and we hope to return.

My wife and I were able to fully enjoy a four day break away from town and kids. The hotel is nicely decorated and has different spots for you to read, chat, hide or have a drink or two or three. ||||But the best was Alejandro (the owner) and Iris; both made sure we were as relaxed as we could and that we had everything we needed. You could tell they enjoyed their job but most of all they wanted us to make the most of our experience with them. Whether at the hotel or outside that was their aim. They were our best guides when it came to recommend were to go or where to eat or have dinner in the surrounding villages and towns. When at the hotel, their best intentions were always present; Alejandro invited all the guests, one of the nights, to Cider from and cheese from Asturias which created a very friendly atmosphere over the dinner we had later. In general you could see everybody had a smile in their faces which made the whole hotel breath with a positive atmosphere. ||||We most definitely will be returning. ||||Thanks Alejandro. ||||Maria & Hugo

What a lovely little hotel. We had dinner, which was superb, and breakfast was simple, but really nice (hot croissants!) The owners were really friendly, the salt mines were fascinating to visit, and the nearby castle was worth a visit (Riba de Santuiste) - you have to walk up, and it's just a ruin but the views are amazing. Having a little spa next door to the hotel is a nice touch. Nothing else in town, but a good base for a couple of days sightseeing. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I ever return to this part of the world.

Before I start, let me describe my personal situation and expectations, in order for you to better understand my point of view when writing this review. We are young couple looking to spend the weekend in the area sightseeing, and also relaxing at the hotel.||Imon is a very small, quiet town near Sigüenza. There is not a thing to do in the town other than to relax at the hotel facilities and to travel by car to nearby towns for sightseeing. The location of the hotel is perfect in terms of closeness to nearby towns (Atienza, Sigënza, Pelegrina, etc) and the town being small and quiet makes it perfect for relaxing.||Now let me describe the hotel. In terms of cleanliness, the hotel is perfect. General cleanliness of facilities is adequate, and the room was cleaned and tidied each day. No complaints.||The room, though smaller than expected, was fine. Comfortable bed and an acceptable bathroom. ||The breakfast, included in our rate, was ok. I only would say that the ham provided with the breakfast isn't of great quality, but perfectly edible. Much to the management's disappointment, we did not dine at the hotel, despite their efforts, so in that department I cannot judge.||I would like to highlight the massagist (though we didn't get her name!) the massage was great and she obviously knows her stuff. We both thoroughly enjoyed the massage and recommend it.||So why the poor review?||Well, to start with, the management does not seem to know the area very well. There is a beautiful walk in the area which I thoroughly recommend, 'Barranco del Rio Dulce', which starts in the town of Pelegrina, however the manager at the hotel was sending us to the wrong place. Thankfully we asked in town for new directions and they corrected the mistake. No big deal but it would have meant another 10/15kms on road and led to some confusion.||Secondly, and most importantly, we had booked a 'Relax Weekend' at the hotel, which is how the hotel sells it. Last I checked, Sunday is part of the weekend. Now, I understand having to vacate the room at 12:00 in order to prepare the room for future guests. No problem there, but we had planned on using the pool on Sunday afternoon before making our way back to the city. It's August, in Spain, and it very hot! The management was not at all happy with our decision and after some snide remarks said that our staying on the facilities was dependent on the arrival of new guests as they didn't want the pool to get busy. I'm sorry, but not acceptable. We are frequent weekend travelers and we have not encountered this sort of reaction anywhere. Due to the hotel's reaction we only stayed another hour or so at the pool, during which time, nobody new arrived. Just a couple of small details I would like to add. At the pool there were a few other guests, which were asked by the manager whether they wanted a drink, whilst we were not. So I asked myself. When he came back with beers and cokes for everyone, the cokes came with no ice. At my partner's petition of whether she could get some ice, the manager sort of looked at her as if she were mad and said 'Ice'? (as if he'd never heard of anyone having ice in their warm cokes before). He subsequently pointed us to the suite (next to the pool) and said there was a fridge in there if we wanted to cool the coke. Simply bizarre. In the end, no ice.||Overall, I do not recommend staying at the hotel, due to the availability of other places nearby of similar quality and services

Amazing house in the beautiful village of Imon. Great staff with awesome rooms. All of them different and some one so big. It is a relaxing experience in session environment, it is perfect for a weekend but I'm also think that it could be great for work meetings far from City and distractions. Awesome
