Hotel Samoa del Sur

Yoselin was the best. She made us feel like we were family! She was professional, informative but most importantly, super pleasant. The hotel is lucky to have her as an employee. The hotel is right on the water and they will assist you with a boat taxi to go to Playa Cacao. The room was super clean and comfortable. The shower was great with hot water. Our stay in Golfito was wonderful and a huge part was due to this hotel.

Such a bad experience. Top dollars for a moldy smelling room, dirty floor, no hot water, no soap to shower with, plasticy sheets. Wanted to leave the room and get a refund and they refused. I guess only left to leave a review so others know

Sadly I had a bad service experience here Everything was perfect at the beginning, rooms are great and very nice location with good views Towards the end of my stay I was using the swimming pool with my family (4 people), at around 11am my family and I would step out of the swimming pool one by one taking turns to get a shower and be ready for check out (at 12md) But to my surprise they had cut off the water supply, which I immediately went to the front desk to let them know, they had me walking around the hotel asking different people to reconnect the water supply for almost an hour. Finally when the put back the water supply we went off with the original plan, anyways it was 12:05pm when my last family member stepped out of the pool. Even though we rushed to get ready asap, I warned the receptionist that we wouldn't be ready by noon to check out. At 12:30pm they knocked at the door, my last family member was dressing so we told them that we were almost ready, less than 5 minutes goes by and they knocked at the door again complaining and making upset faces, almost implying that we must had showered all together to get out of the room at noon. Is really sad that we had this experience here because before that point I was super positive about my stay there.

Horrible Service, the lady at the reception tried to scam me twice! Would never go there again...music from the gym is waking you up since 6 am!!!

This would be a 4 or 5 star review if it wasn’t for the driving bass music I’m stuck listening to in my room late at night on a Tuesday. It’s only 10:30pm right now, but it didn’t even start until around 9:45pm, so my expectations of it ending anytime soon are not high. I was super happy with the property, the pool, my room, the view, the proximity to the grocery store for water, but not being able to go to sleep after a long day because clubs are thumping music kinda sucks. There are a lot of frogs on the property, iguanas & birds, so it’s nice to have all that nature around on the hotels grounds.

This place was awesome! We found it to be very clean, warm and inviting. The staff was very accommodating, clean towels and fresh made bed every day! Even animals made out of towels on our beds one day. The restaurant here was phenomenal! Eggs, rice, beans and fruit in the morning, and for dinner be sure to order the swordfish, it was the best I've ever had, I ordered it two nights in a row! Thank you for making our stay so delightful 😁😁😁

We came to golfito to buy some things in the duty free deposit. We were recommended to stay. In this hotel. We had lunch before check in and the food and service was very good. The room was clean. The bed was hard for my liking, even though my family said the bed was ok. The pillows were not good either. This hotel is a best bang for your buck. To have AC and pool for a good price.

The hotel is very good, clean and centrally located.The pool was great. The staff are all excellent, friendly and extremely helpful. There are many members of the team speaking a little English. ||The staff will help organise tours from the hotel. The restaurant was good with a reasonable selection on the menus and everything we ate was good. The breakfast which is included was the same traditional type but staff would find alternatives if they could. One member of staff especially, R alerted us to having overpaid by a large amount so we found a trustworthiness which was exceptional. Thank you. Remember it is possible to use both USD or local currency but be careful with converting.
