Hotel San Carlu Citadel

We’ve visited Corsica many times and for our return to Ajaccio we wanted somewhere near the Citadelle with sea view. San Carlu certainly delivers on that. The views are spectacular, particularly from the breakfast room/bar and roof terrace. This (almost) justifies the pricey rates. Our room was pretty small however, with nowhere much to unpack. The open rail for clothes hangers had a surprisingly budget feel. The bathroom was great though, and almost as big as the bedroom. Breakfast was decent enough but unremarkable considering the price. Reception staff were charming, helpful and spoke good English. Overall, expensive but probably the best in the city

The hotel is perfectly situated. It is close to the centre and the restaurants but in the same time very quiet. You reach a beautiful beach in 2 minutes on foot. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very tasteful and clean. I would go there anytime again

Great hotel in fantastic location, in the hub of the city. The rooftop bar has the most incredible panoramic views, definitely worth a visit! (Only comment would be that you aren’t able to purchase a cocktail until after 6pm, which seems odd to me). The rooms are modern and comfortable. They’re a little on the small side, but to be expected in a city. The staff are friendly and helpful. Perfect for a stay in Ajaccio.

Just a great hotel! Renovation is fantastic, rooms, slightly small, but big bathroom. Breakfast and the staff so friendly. Great breakfast with superb view and outdoors feeling. Yet shaded. Just 10 metres to a lovely beach for a swim. Towels at the hotel.

Modern hotel in a good location near all the restaurants in the center city. Nice rooms, great bathrobes!. Excellent breakfast buffet. A few stairs at the entrance to the lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night, but would return.

Amazing hotel. Comfortable&new rooms with all needs, helpful staff members. Great view from the top, where the breakfast is served. Also the location is cool, sea side with beach is near and the city center.

This is my favorite roof top bar and hotel in Ajaccio. Every time I stay here I have a wonderful and great experience the staff is amazing, friendly, upbeat. The 360° view of Ajaccio and the bay is just so outstandingly beautiful. To mention the cocktails they are just wonderful aesthetically pleasing and the taste is just pleasing and refreshing. I will definitely be coming back to stay and enjoy the lounge and restaurant on the rooftop beautiful place. Thank you.

The hotel has a nice rooftop bar, the staffing is very customer oriented, and the rooms are small but clean and elegant. The hotel is only a few steps away from the maison Bonaparte and the harbor. There is a separate menu for additional breakfast wishes like fried or poached eggs, which was good but not included. The frequency of the hotel reminded me a bit like "smells and bells". The interior of the hotel is nice and elegant.
