We stayed for a week at this hotel on a half-board basis with our 6-year-old son.
First of all, I have to say that the reception is outstanding; they gave us a room very early without making us wait, and they were always extremely kind.
We booked a Family room, but we didn’t like it—it had no view, it was very dark and faced the inner courtyard, and you couldn’t leave the window open because the smell from the kitchen would come into the room. The staff promptly changed our room to a Premium, which I definitely recommend as it was much nicer.
The real problem was having chosen half board. It’s absolutely not worth it, and this hotel is not equipped to offer this package—I would even suggest removing it altogether.
The à la carte menu for half board is the same for the entire week. They say it changes weekly, but in our experience, it did not—the menu stayed exactly the same.
There are very few choices on the menu, so if there’s something you don’t like, or if you have kids who are picky eaters, you’re basically out of luck.
They did offer us a few options from their regular menu, but in the end, we decided to eat out, especially since the hotel is right next to the old town, and it’s much nicer to dine outside.
A note about the restaurant: the staff is very rude—apart from the manager, no one greets you when you arrive or when you leave after breakfast. They seem angry and definitely do not enjoy their job.
The reception, on the other hand, is made up of very professional and always smiling people.
The restaurant was definitely a negative experience, at least as a half-board guest.
Honestly, I expected at least a partial refund or a discount on parking, since we paid for half board and didn’t use it.
