Hotel San Francesco

Hotel San Francesco was excellent value for money - quiet, centrally located, and full of character. The service was warm and attentive throughout our stay. One of the highlights was breakfast, served on the first floor of a beautifully preserved monastery, while the third floor is still in use by the monks. It gave the whole experience a peaceful, authentic atmosphere you don’t find in most city hotels. Perfect for anyone looking for a tranquil stay right in the heart of the city. Would definitely return

Rooms are very basic but comfortable and the shower very small. It's a challenge to wash your lower legs. Breakfast simple but effective and the staff have been great

If you want to stay somewhere with plenty of character and atmosphere in Alghero Old Town, then go no further than Hotel San Francesco. Situated in a former 16th century monastery its like no other hotel I have stayed in. Although the rooms are small, they are spotless and have all the required amenities. The hotel is quiet. Breakfast is a treat and is taken in the Cloisters. Francesco and Lello are super friendly hosts and they just add to the all round great experience. You can enter the stunning Church from the hotel, so don't miss it. Five star experience.

The staff were very friendly, spoke great English which was really helpful. The room was clean and had all of the essentials, even really good air conditioning. The hotel is in a perfect location, very close to local restaurants and shops. Breakfast was nice, always a good selection and fresh coffee. And the character of the building makes it all better, such a unique hotel and a great experience!

The owner were friendly and helpful. Also, they re nice to offer even we missed a bit the breakfast time. The room it self bed was comfortable, bathroom a bit smelly but the air conditioning was fine. In total, it’s good value for the price of hotel. And it’s an old building to experience the local vibe. Good location, heart of old town and quiet.

A great stay and a perfect location. The staff was great and you can tell that they look out for their guest. I want to thank Francesco and the staff for making my stay unforgettable. For those coming by car beware that the parking is around the streets is very busy and expensive. You need a lot of luck to find find free parking. I parked on a 10-15 min walk from the hotel for free.

I'm a solo traveller and this hotel was perfect for me in Alghero. Super clean, prime location at the heart of the old city. Close to supermarkets, cafes and to the bus to the airport.|I slept in a twin room which had a bunk bed, a balcony, and ensuite bathroom. The room has air condition, coffee machine, dryer, table, chair and linen and towels are provided. Room is cleaned every day. The guys at the reception are super kind and helpful. I will definitely come back!

Real authentic experience of the former monastery. Although quite basic hotel in terms of rooms and services provided (but clean and functional), it has a special touch. The most central location, fair breakfast. Kind receptionist.
