Though I didn't stay at the hotel, I did have breakfast at its rooftop cafe. The staff are extremely friendly, the views panoramic, and the location terrific. The decor is on point with local and colonial artworks.

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend. The rooms are simple but nice and clean. Hot water was plenty. They had coca tea 24 hours in the lobby which is a nice touch especially on cold nights. Housekeepind did a great job, the breakfast was good and included in the price. Overall a very good value for your money.

Such a fantastic little city. This was an easily located place to stay. The common areas were impressive and roomy. Rooms were a bit tight but as a solo traveler, I had everything I needed. Always had hot water for showers. Rooms were clean, with thick blankets on the bed. Would certainly stay again.

Was clean and simple , staff where friendly and helpful , rooms are small but functional would stay again. Not for the 5 star brigade though. Suited us very well as after three weeks traveling thru the Andes it had genuine hot water. Are two PC's with internet access in the room next to reception which was useful.

This is a great hotel in a great location. Its an old Spanish mansion with an open courtyard in the middle with great sitting areas. A small breakfast is included on the roof top cafe-ish and offers a good view of the city, especially at night. Very close to the main plaza and easy to walk to just about everywhere in the city.||||The bad part is its noisy at almost every time of the day from 5ish am to 11 pm. Car horns are constant going off which makes for poor sleeping. Which is the reason you get a hotel in the first place! Also, they have a solar water heater (cool!) but not so cool when your shower is freezing because you take them at night...when there is no sun to heat up the water.

It's a very old construction, doesn't seem to be cleaned up very often. The rooms are very small and look really cheap. The personal is very rude. |The breakfast service is deficient. Not good at all, and there's a big chance you will miss it if you REALLY want to have a good night rest.

Spent about 4 days here and the hotel is a very convenient 2 block walk to the Plaza Mayor. The front building itself is charming--wooden balconies, stone masonry, rooftop breakfast bar with glorious views of the city, but the decor is a bit outdated, and mainly consists of arrangements of native crafts. The staff was helpful but reserved, possibly because there seemed to be many business travelers and business conferences taking place in the various meeting spaces. The rooms near the street corner can be very loud! Both roads are quite busy, one being a main route for the local buses, which are old and noisy; traffic only quiets down from about 11pm-6am. Add in a large school across the street that starts at 7 am with chattering children and this means you won't be sleeping in! There was a wing in back that looked new/renovated, so request a room there if you want a more restful night. Room decor was very basic--bed, table, armoire, and the bathroom looked old; the shower only had hot water 1/4 days (lukewarm for 2 days, and simply cold on the last day), and the sink only gave cold water. Free breakfast is included, and only cash is accepted.

I gave 3 stars for a 2 star hotel. Interestingly they have free coca leaves for customers to drink anytime, perfectly legal in Peru. Breakfast included but only one cup coffee/tee ,2 pieces of bread and choice of cheese, ham or egg can't be mixed. Rooms are clean and wifi available at the launch room. Wifi does not work other floors. The design of the building is little strange. Lots of stairs unnecessarily . No elevators, like all 2 star hotels. Stairs are steep and you have to carry your own bags upstairs.
