Holy smokes this place is massive! More than a 5 min walk from parking to the lobby, through the property. Not just a pretty face on the zocalo! Beautiful old stone front faces right onto the main square. Bar downstairs and up, restaurant above as well, all looking down into the lobby atrium with stained glass ceiling. Wonderful staff. Rooms range from rustic old colonial to normal newish hotel style. Groovy indoor pool, wish I'd had a chance to go in. All-in-all, a great place to stay. My mother first went here in the 90s and still loves it. Nice staff and good food. Totally recommended place to stay if you're in Tlaxcala.

It's a nice hotel, no English, no air conditioning but you can ask for a fan. Breakfast is free but they charge $150 pesos. Valet service is good. Parking availible.

This is a nice hotel. I did not use the pool because it was a little chilly while I was here. The rooms are clean. It is right on the main square. Breakfast is nice. I did go to the desk for help mailing postcards and the woman at the desk did not speak English well enough to understand what I was asking, but most of the desk staff spoke English well. I think the restaurant staff did not speak much English. This is off the beaten path so not very surprising but be prepared. All of the staff very very nice and helpful.

Nice hotel overlooking charming park and surrounded by restaurants and shops. Excellent breakfast buffet with made to order omelets (dining room chilly though). Terrible wifi in rooms. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Saw no one in pool (it is covered by roof) as it was early November and pool was not heated. Tile floors in halls are very noisy, especially when luggage is being dragged across it in wee hours of morning. Would stay there again.

This hotel is in a great location right on the zocalo in the charming town of Tlaxcala. But it's a bit 'long in the tooth', if you know what I mean. Our first room they took us to was about 500 meters from the lobby, or so it seemed. We wanted a closer room, so we got a room right on the pool. The problem is that there is no insulation between rooms and the walls seem to be about the thickness of paper. We could easily hear our neighbors snoring and when our other neighbors came in borracho at 5am, even our good earplugs didn't help that. But the bed is comfortable, the water pressure good and the staff very nice. But please try to make the rooms nicer. For the rather high price of this place, I would expect better.

Such a cute historical hotel . The pool area is absolutely beautiful too . We went for a wedding and the beautiful gardens and sounds of waterfalls is what I absolutely loved .
