Honestly if I could give it 0 stars, I would. The hotel is basic which I was fine with. Two things are important to me safety and hot water, neither of which happened here. There is NO parking at this hotel, it’s only street parking but luckily I found a parking spot right in front of the lobby of the hotel. Got some of the things out of my car up to my room. Came back down a few hours later to grab the rest of my things and my car had been broken into. Everything was gone! Told front desk and asked if they had cameras and the first thing she asked is if use left my car open??!!! That it’s common in the area and that o could go to police station to submit a complaint -_- That evening I finally get to go back to the room and take a shower… no hot water. Tried the left side left on for about 5-6min and the water was freezing. Did the same with right handle never got hot either. Called downstairs to let them know. The guy had no idea which side should be hot water and also told me they had no maintenance on site and I would need to wait until tomorrow for someone to come to check it out. Recap: Horrible service, no one cares, no safety and no hot water.

SCAMMERS! They only want your money! Stay away from this place. Very disrespectful to their guests. They kept my money after I had to cancel my reservation due to a delay in my flight. Booking.com allowed me to be refunded and sent them a request in order to cancel the reservation for free and issue me a refund, but the property didn’t even respond, completely ignoring it on purpose, so they could keep the money. Rooms are not clean and it’s noisy. I never wrote a bad review on here, but I can’t ignore the disrespect they have for their guests. There are other much better places to stay in San Juan.

Not much to it, just a simple room to sleep in for the night. There are commodities such as WiFi, TV, and functional Air Conditioning. The lady at the front desk was quite friendly and made sure we were all set for a room. My only complaints are the stains in the walls, this place is not that far from being comfortable, it just needs some good keeping and refreshing to it. The front area has a beautiful vase.

I was very apprehensive after reading some negative reviews but I had a wonderful stay here. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, the room was fine, it has everything I needed.|I was on the ground floor which was noisy with staff chatting and counting coins at shift changeover, but it's a cheap hotel so it wasn't an issue. |Lots of free parking around the area, free coffee and hot water. I couldn't fault my stay here.

Quaint little hotel, lovely staff, very thick concrete walls helps keeps the noise down. Excellent location right on bus route. Narrow corridors and stair cases, lovely patio. Our room had a separate room with bunk beds for children attached. Location is perfect for patients at San Jorge hospital, 10 min walk from the hotel.

Yes so for the price you get what you pay for yes indeed there are roaches and I think bed bugs as well I wasn't able to find any but I did have a bite which I know it comes from bed bugs because I am allergic to them. And one of the reflux that we saw but we continue to bucket was that when we were booking it ask If We Wanted to secure our reservation meaning if we didn't like it we could cancel it and we wouldn't be charged not only once but twice. And we had read the reviews but we kind of ignored them. So this is what we went with our booking was because we were just staying one night as we are exploring Puerto Rico so we weren't really looking for something nice as it's just a one night. My suggestion is if you're just being a one-time night it's fine but if you're thinking of staying several nights I would reconsider it

Google
I think the 4 star average is very misleading. It’s a 2 star hotel and the accommodations are VERY in line with that. No hate, it’s what we expected, but shouldn’t be 4 stars. It’s not the cleanest, doesn’t feel the safest, and isn’t in the best location. Service was solid though no complaints there.

Yelp
I stayed here for one night after missing my flight and saying goodbye to my friends, and I was pleasantly surprised at this cute hotel. It felt very authentically San Juan and in a rather quiet and safe area as far as I saw. This hotel is not super high end but had the basics that I needed.. a clean comfortable bed, usb outlets and light switch within reach, and bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a toothbrush, all provided. My room was at the end of a corridor with a cool skylight and I enjoyed the open air hallways and terrace with tables & seating. The lobby is so beautifully decorated and has a few tables to eat or drink their complimentary morning coffee. Upon checkout I still had a few hours until my flight and Liza the desk clerk was so helpful with storing my luggage for a few hours while I toured San Juan for a bit longer! She was truly bilingual which was very helpful for my limited Spanish skills, sometimes I feel like I am not actually understood but she was so friendly and really made me comfortable staying here and adventuring alone!! Thanks again Liza!! Next time I'm in San Juan I will be staying here for my entire trip rather than the Airbnb I got with friends.

Yelp
Edit: was a 5 star review until we met the man at the reception desk that was not only rude, but unhelpful. If you come here, make sure to speak with the lady. I was very impressed! Extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff! Very clean and cute rooms. Everything looked nice and was very affordable. Close to shopping and local food. Would recommend!

Yelp
Let's start with the basics, I came here post Maria, I expected the worst. Leaky roofs, bed bugs, cockroaches, sewage coming the shower drains, beds never to be made etc..... well all of that is true. I wasn't going to write a review, until the owner, Asian lady came out and kicked one of my employees out for writing a review. Rather than address his problems and talk to him about it, she wanted to put him on the streets. All over towels that he couldn't get when asking the front desk. And all of this after we fixed her elevator, ice box and generator. Very rude owner. I personally watch her double the prices and forced a local family onto the streets because they couldn't afford it. Very sad. Enjoy the bed bug pictures!

Yelp
This is a fine hotel for the budget traveler. We decided last minute to spend one more night in San Juan and found this after some quick research. Trying to find a hotel in a new city without a computer can be challenging and we weren't up for spending lots of time figuring it out. $80 for the night, last minute was fine by us. Our room was clean and very, very, very basic. The first room we got didn't have windows, which kind of freaked me out. Luckily, the AC was broken in that room so we got to switch to a new room w/ a big sunny window and working AC. However, room two seemed to be directly above or behind a club so the music was thumping late into the night. Drink some rum and bring yer earplugs to guarantee a solid night of sleep. Note at the beginning of my review, I used the word traveler not tourist...it's off the beaten path, outside of the main tourist areas of San Juan - which we loved. You have to be excited to walk around and not put off by rougher looking areas. We felt safe. If you stay here, I'd highly recommend creating your own outdoor walking art tour and checking out the incredible murals and graffiti along Avenida Ponce de Leon. Head west along the avenida to Calle Duffat and treat yourself to an incredible dinner at Jose Enrique - enjoy the Plaza del Mercado while you wait. Afterward, stop into La Hoja for what was one of the most incredible dance and music experiences I've ever seen...it was around midnight on a Saturday when we popped in. I loved San Juan and can't wait to go back! I'd stay in this hotel again, though would do some more research for comparable options first.

Yelp
Clean, quiet, spacious for the price, efficient staff. My husband and I stayed here as a last minute booking December 26th when the hostel we had booked reneged on our room (Palace Hostel). Good coffee in the morning topped the bill. If I were again on a strict budget I would not hesitate to book here. Good value for the budget traveler.
