Sant Pere del Bosc Hotel & Spa is a beautiful property operating far under its full potential, at least during our visit. The wooded, dusty drive up to this hotel was lovely as we gratefully left the loud and crowded Lloret de Mar behind. We had high hopes arising from the online photos and remote location of the hotel. Alas, those expectations were not to be met by this property or its staff. After a short drive up the rutted dirt track, we came upon the impressive structure revealing itself above the trees and looming over a small vineyard. It is hard to describe why we both sensed an odd heaviness laying over the stunning beauty of the property as passed through the metal gates. ||The receptionist was friendly enough. Although, as he explained the services and policies to us, he flipped from a couple seconds of slow english to large spans of very fast catalan, which left us not fully understanding a whole lot. The deluxe double room was smaller and less well appointed than the ones in the online photos. It was warm and had no real place for two to sit and relax. The window sill was high enough so that we could only enjoy the view while standing. The pool was lovely, but we found the sculptures at the pool and on the property a little artificial and unsettling. ||In addition, there seemed to be a strange disconnect between the kitchen and reception as if they were two totally separate entities. The main kitchen person was somewhat unreceptive to our questions, curt and kept referring us back to reception. Reception was very upbeat, but somehow spoke in a way that always left us slightly under-informed, if not confused. ||In the end, this hotel left us perplexed. It is remote in the middle of protected lands and yet still offers a distant sea view. It has a wonderful pool and the building is impressive. It is also close to nearby beaches and botanical gardens. With these impressive component parts, it has so very much potential, but from our perspective, it is dramatically falling short of its promise.

Beautiful place really quiet the restaurant was amazing but rooms on the basement were not insulated well as the vmc was connecting the rooms ! Pool service was lacking but I would go again as they should take the feedback and make the small changes

The location is truly exceptional, offering breathtaking views and easy access to local attractions. The architecture of the hotel is impressive, blending traditional charm with modern elegance. The food was absolutely delightful, showcasing the best of Spanish cuisine with a variety of dishes that left me looking forward to every meal. What made the experience even more special was the incredible service, particularly from Mercé, a wonderful waitress. Her warmth, attentiveness, and friendly nature added a personal touch to our stay. Mercé went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, making us feel right at home. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a combination of great location, fantastic food, stunning design, and outstanding service. A truly unforgettable experience!"

Stayed 1 night in this beautiful hotel. Stunning location, quiet peaceful setting, very relaxing. Drive up the 3km dirt track through the pine forest was delightful - just drive carefully ! Whilst the room decor was a little underwhelming ( please replace the awful Ikea style wardrobes) the room was clean and spacious, bed very comfy and view from the window down to the coast was beautiful. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. We ate in the restaurant and had a fabulous meal, far exceeded expectations - the food was delicious and plentiful. We were delighted with the jazz singer who performs every Thursday. She sang beautifully and created a wonderful ambience. Breakfast on the terrace with far reaching views was excellent. The pool area is beautiful with the hotel creating a stunning backdrop. We found all the staff friendly and welcoming and will definitely visit again.

The access to the Hotel is via a 3km dirt road and the signs of the hotel are not well maintained. When you drive up it looks fantastic and the restaurant and outside pool area are beautiful with a stunning view. The rooms however are very anticlimactic. Cheap IKEA furniture, damaged walls, old smashed flies sticking to the walls, a TV that is hanging on by a thread. The rooms are very basic and far from what you would expect when you book a 5star hotel. Like others mentioned in the comments, we do not understand how this hotel even received a 5 star rating. We also went to the spa. You book it and you are there alone so I don’t want to know how many couples bathe in there alone a day… we also switched off the bubbles for a bit and were shocked at how filthy the water was. There is literally a film of grime swimming at the top. We immediately got out. We also had an incident with a very rude staff member and when we mentioned it to the front desk there was no apology offered but we were basically told to excuse that staff member because she was dumb and short. What a way to talk about a colleague. The food in the restaurant was excellent and we would definitely come back to enjoy a lunch and the views. I don’t understand how this place has such high ratings though, I think it’s definitely overpriced for what it really offers. I would avoid sleeping there and definitely the inside pool!

The hotel is beautiful but quite old. The value for money is excellent, and we especially enjoyed the dinner at the à la carte restaurant. However, the breakfast was disappointing, as we had to wait almost an hour for our omelette. The Wi-Fi connection is terrible; it only works well at the reception and in the restaurant, while in the rooms and by the pool, it is unstable. We traveled to work remotely, and unfortunately, the poor internet connection disrupted our work calls. We couldn’t visit the spa as it’s quite small and was fully booked. The hotel grounds are well-maintained but small. We didn’t like the artificial grass and the fake flowers in the room – for a 5-star hotel, this is unacceptable.

Quite area, hotel from outside looks beautiful. Inside is a different story, we just checked in and the room is beyond basic, needs upgrade, cheap Furniture, 250 euro a night feels like a total rip off. Now the Spa was full all day and next day till 2pm I guess you have to book in advance. The pool bar does not have anyone so you have to go to reception to ask for drinks again 5 stars? I fail to understand how this hotel gets such category. I am yet to try the restautant in evening, so far not impressed. Dont recommend

Stunning location, beautiful building. However, rooms are lacking, soulless and poorly maintained. Terrace of the junior suite was very disappointing, not at all similar to the hotel photos, just a pair of cheap metal chairs and the outdoor jacuzzi was bolted closed. Hotel staff were mostly unreachable during booking, and did not deliver the duo massage I booked. No discount or any compensation was offered. Some of the restaurant staff were obviously very poorly trained and totally unsupervised, talking very loudly about their personal lives across the room, while serving guests who were paying a premium for a relaxing escapade. Restaurant food was quite good. Was overall very disappointing, the only true 5 star element is the price...
