Hotel Santa Catalina Panama

This is a beautiful hotel, located in a cute, surfy town with easy access to Coiba. We absolutely loved our stay here. The owner and her team went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, and also helped us celebrate our daughter’s birthday. We stayed in the family room which is gorgeous…comfy beds, very effective aircon (much needed when we were in SC!), a good shower and handy kitchen facilities. The kids particularly loved the hammocks outside. |The pool is stunning and we found the food in the restaurant excellent. Can’t recommend this place more highly!

Beautiful place . Everyone is extremely welcoming and the food is delicious. The landlord is taking time to meet all clients and we learned a lot from her. As the week is quite we had an upgrade as a family and had a very spacious room. We had a great rime in this little paradise

What a beautiful hotel. Super comfortable rooms with great restaurant overlooking the point and a Pool area that is great to relax at after a surf.|Use the bicycles to cruise around town and check out other places.|All of the staff from the front desk and the restaurant were very nice and helpful.

Great spot for lunch or dinner, excellent pescado frito and very kind staff. Right in front of the break too which is cool!

Weird rules and interaction with the ‘owner’|I am a local traveler and have been to this hotel’s restaurant m to enjoy lunch with friends and bring clients here. However the o today when their pool was pretty much empty they told my client he couldn’t use the pool despite spending a lot of money over several days at the restaurant. So I cancelled my lunch and offered my feedback ro the female owner , who very abruptly told me she was an eternity as if that makes any difference and told me these are the rules. I won’t be returning and I’ll be telling everyone I know and work with that clearly the owners have all the money they need becuase they care more about their pool than they do humans that come to eat on their premises the energy of the staff and rhe owner is simply not good quality and I felt the need to come here to let people thinking about this place not to go unless of course they like being told they can’t cool down in the pool on a boiling hot day.

Everything from the friendly and knowledgeable gentleman at reception to the amazing staff and food at Pescao our trip was everything we hoped and more. The attention to detail impressed me as I’ve worked in hospitality for over 30 years and you can tell this is a tightly run ship and hats off to management. They recognized us at the pool and restaurant daily and housekeeping replaced used beach towels left outside on patio without being asked plus all the other small things such as bikes to ride around town. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. We will definitely be back!

Excellent locale - just a short walk away from the main part of town, and is nice and quiet. The infinity pool has an amazing view over the beach, and the restaurant is just above the pool. Our deluxe room was spacious and had a mini fridge, microwave. The rock shower was so special. When the Coiba tour we reserved was cancelled by the operator at last minute notice, the hotel kindly arranged a tour for us the day before. Beautiful landscape, great service and just a fantastic stay. Would come back in a heartbeat.

We booked for four nights and booked an extra two once there. Big clean basic rooms, recommended for families. Good Wi-Fi and aircon and security, locked cupboards etc for camera gear, dive gear, not just a safe. Some surfboards for use for free and rentals also for shortboards - some boards over 7ft for bigger point days - possibly no need to pack an extra board. The good thing about this hotel is that it’s halfway to the beach and halfway to town. Plus a quick paddle to the point. The thing we liked was the yoga pavilion - what a great place - very good yoga instructor Helena and good new mats, blocks etc. and yoga is every late afternoon at 5pm. Just so nice before dinner: the free bicycles are convenient but lethal - check the brakes, seats, loose handlebars etc. pool is lovely - afternoon shade and cool. The restaurant is okay, good enough. The staff is excellent - Mr Rafa is super helpful and professional. And the cleaners etc are great. Don’t bother looking at other places.
