The property it's the most central in Alcobaca. This is our 2nd stay. Main reason to return it's central. But hotel it's very dated. However carpets needs to be changed we upgraded for a balcony there is only a few. But no table or anything. In general it's good but dated and carpets should have been replaced years ago. Breakfast it's a bit on basic side for the side of the hotel. Staff at reception friendly and easy going

Great hotel. It has a bit of an older charm, but well maintained and great to stay on the village for a few days. Very convinient location and the breakfast is good :)

With a room looking out over the glorious monastery of Alcobaca, Portugal, we could hardly go wrong. The rooms were clean, with good internet, a great shower, and helpful amenities. There was a good array of food for breakfast. We had our choice between paid parking (8 euros) in the hotel or free parking outside on the hotel lot. And the staff person who greeted us was wonderful—lively, engaging, efficient, and helpful with recommendations. We will certainly stay here again if in Portugal. Highly recommended.

Excellent, older but clean hotel, with an exceptional location in the center of the city. Excellent parking and very friendly staff. Most travelers would consider this hotel of great value. The decor could be a bit more colorful and a self-service bar would add to convenience, just as more items for vegans at the breakfast fast buffet be a bonus.

Very reasonably priced, barebones, clean rooms, with a stunning, full-faced view of the former monastery — if you’re on the front side of the building. No amenities to speak of. Perfect location for visiting the town, finding restaurants, and visiting the monastery. Sufficient closets and drawers in some rooms, less in others. ||Simple, but adequate breakfast, 07:30-10:00, included. Plenty of reliable hot water, and a shower that is over the tub. Free parking, but only while it lasts. They keep the upper (free) car park locked to force you to use their garage, and charge you €5 for the privilege — the only real negative encountered. A fairly typical, modest, 3-Star accommodation, in a modern-looking building that is due for some freshening up.||Pretty perfect for travelers on a budget.

My room was superb. Great location. Walking distance to the Fatima Sanctuary which made late-night visits to the shrine possible. Safe area for walking solo. Service and food choices for our travel group were fine and there was even a hotel gift shop which I used for picking up my Portugal port wine. First-class hotel. My bartender was nice enough to prepare a cup of hot tea for me to take to my room for the night.

Excellent location. The room was a good size with refrigerator and air conditioning with a view to the monestry. The reception and cleaning staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The secure covered parking was good.”Spacious double room with excellent view of the monastery. Good breakfast.

Sparse hotel, clean enough with twin beds. Old carpet, old mattresses, rough toilet paper and no Kleenex or tissue available. Breakfast is cakes, tasteless breads, beans & cold rice, eggs, yogurt and fruit. Enough to fill you up , but not necessarily good, except for the baked apples and fresh watermelon. This hotel is great if you are deaf because the paper thin walls allow you to hear full conversations and every bathroom urination and every shower. I was jarred awake multiple times each night with doors, showers and the sounds of people urinating. The doors do not shut unless you slam them. Last night I thought it was time to get up because I heard the door slam, urination and shower of the room next door. I got up only to discover it was midnight and they had just arrived back. |The positives: There is a refrigerator in the room, a good location and steamed milk beside the coffee in the dining room. Also, since we are in a group, the breakfast is basic but there is another area with better quality food, variety and espresso. Staff in the dining room seem indifferent. If you drop a fork on the marble, the staff will not even hear the load echo on the marble floor. They seem to be there only to clean up after you leave, even though they are in waiter whites attire. Again, this is a group and you are basically invisible. No coffee pot in the rooms but possibly room service, but it only starts at 07:30 am.
