When we arrived at the hotel, the neighborhood looked like a ghetto, and even our Uber driver told us, “This is a dangerous area, be careful.”
After checking into our room, I noticed that our balcony was right next to the stairs, easily accessible from outside. When I checked the balcony door, the lock wasn’t working. I called the staff, and two people tried to fix it for about two hours but couldn’t. They told us they had no other available rooms and couldn’t solve the problem that night.
I said I couldn’t stay under these conditions and would need to find another hotel. Later, the hotel owner Thomas casually told me to “just put a stick behind the door, it’ll be fine,” which was completely unacceptable. When I asked for a refund, he said he couldn’t refund the full amount and would only return the part excluding taxes. It has now been a week, and no one has contacted me, they are not answering my calls, and no refund has been issued.
This entire situation was caused by their own negligence, yet I was left unsafe, inconvenienced, and effectively scammed out of my money. I absolutely do not recommend this place.
