Hotel Santo Tomas

Great place conveniently located if you need to be close to San Jose Centro. Price is good, the place is safe and secure in spite of being in a bit of a sketchy part of SJ, but those issues are the same in any city these days, large or small. Daytime walking is easy and close to all the San Jose proper has to offer. Hotel staff were excellent. Owner super friendly and accommodating. Front desk Jeremy was excellent.

All was as we expected and very pleased. Spacious very clean and comfortable room, safe, large bathroom, plenty of space for our things. No AC but you don't need it there. Free breakfast (3 options) with fruit plate and juice and coffee. Very good. Beautiful pool and hot tub available to guests. Staff was very friendly, service oriented and the place was very well kept. The owner took time to greet his guests and give some history about this beautiful place. The location was close walking to everything we wanted and we felt safe. Would return, and hope to, one day soon.

Loved the older aesthetics of the hotel. Met Thomas, the owner, he was super friendly and informative. Staff was also very helpful and friendly. I would suggest being back to the hotel before dark, as things can get a little sketchy, like out bigger cities. Would've loved to have a/c but I survived. Definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet place.

Very comfortable stay, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast. Jeremy greeted us and provided us a tour of the accommodations, and answered all our questions about the area. We liked the security safeguards in place and pool with hot tub. It’s a bit on the edge of the main tourist area but never felt unsafe walking to sightsee or go to dinner. Would definitely consider staying here if we find ourselves in San Jose again.

Very high class hotel at a reasonable price. The architecture and the furniture are like a museum. Beautiful cherry wood headboards and dresser, old school style, bathtub style shower, good TV and decent Wi-Fi. Nice breakfast nook with jacuzzi and pool. Safe and kind service as well. Delightful experience! Thank you!

We've stayed here on four separate trips (& plan to stay again for the next). Thomas & EVERYONE there are nothing less than super. They'll help you w/ anything from advice to setting up appointments. If they can't help you - they'll find the right person who can. Its location next to Morazan Park is fantastic & convenient. The rooms are spacious & clean, the pool & equipment are nice, & breakfast is perfect. I highly, highly recommend this "oasis" in the city.

A deliGhtful smaller hotel that has retained the character of San Jose 1900. It is scupulously clean with polished floors you can see your reflection in. There is a small garden with fountain and annexed there is a beauty centre. Breakfast was good.and the staff delightful. However, at night, be careful about the surrounding area which is rather roufh and the front gate is locked for security

If you like to feel the vibe of antique places around San jose . This is the right place for you! . The comfort of the room, the Cleanliness of the place and peaceful vibe , Friendly staff that speak English and Spanish. Must Visit💕
