Good hotel. Friendly staff. A treat to taste buds.. Very well situated in between market . Easily noticeable from vehicle. Very near to famous cotton cloths showroom. Price is somewhat higher as quantity is small. But overall a good visit. Still the food is tasty. But no parking. No good toilets. Very congested inside dining area. Services are good. But cleaning is not upto the mark. Ac is not proper. Poor planning. The name has lost the charm. Please try other outlets. The taste of the food and service was good as always. But they need to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. The wash room was smelly and saw few small roaches running on the dining table Saravana Bhavan has lost its charm. Food is just okay. Nothing special about the place and food. Even the liquid soap for hand wash was not available, even after requesting for it for more than 15 minutes. Staff are very lazy and incompetent. Better to avoid this place. Good and friendly staff. Meals are reasonably priced. The taste is really good. Good vegetarian restaurant with satisfactory services. This restaurant is a good choice for South Indian breakfast specially idli and vada. They make very good ghee roast. You can get ghee roast till afternoon. At afternoon they start meals service where you can get as much as you want. Overall not a bad restaurant. But there should be improvement in cleanliness.

Good food as usual.. Saravana Bhavan is almost synonymous with the taste of Chennai.. the dosas and sambar were as good as always, not to mention the delicious chutneys.. My personal favorites are the paper dosa, rava dosa and filter kaapi!

Want to rate it 3.5 star. Don't have the option 🤷‍♂️. Was suggested this place by a friend. This place is like the bucket list which you've got to tick off when you come to chennai. About 40+ restaurants of this chain here. The idlis were nice and warm. Could've been softer a bit. They serve 3 chutneys which is really good. Masala dosa was nice and soft in texture and had a mild crunch to it. The potato filling could've been a bit spicier. I ordered a lime soda with the food but sadly they gave it after I finished eating. Service needs to improve. Not too heavy on the pocket also. All in all a good place to taste some authentic south Indian food. Also posting the pics of the menu for detailed information

When one is having food, it is the taste that matters the most. Saravana Bhavan scores great 5 in this section. The awesome Ghee Roast Masala Dosa was like mouth melting stuff at right time in evening. Visited this place after reviewing on TripAdvisor. Service was good and ambience was Ok. I wanted to have IdiAppam which was not available though in menu. That was the only downside. After shopping at Pondy Bazar this is best place to satisfy needs n desires of your tummy... Great place.... Visiting again for sure....

Awesome south Indian food. Although they don't mention it, do ask for their combo breakfast plate which pretty much gives all their speciality items. But be sure to work up huge appetite though!

Didn't live up to the name... Had a quick lunch which was costs around 120 after tax. Lunch consists of a chapati, a poriyal, kurma, 3 types of rice about 50 gms each(curd rice, sambar rice, palak rice).. That's all.. Totally disappointed with the quantity, quality & taste.. Never expected such an average experience from such a big name.. They have many branches spread across the chennai but losing their brand name.. This was my first visit here. Palak rice was nothing but rice mixed with dal-palak.. Great joke. I don't know about the other items because I could only write about what I had but still for a price band of Rs120/- it's totally disappointing. In the past I had much better food in other hotels for a lesser price in metros.. I think I never go back here

No value for money place, food is decent but prices are pathetically high.. Rs. 166 ghee roast.. wth, you have to spend 600 or 800 for a normal tiffin and coffee for 4.. don't go by name and pay high here. Parotta's - the smallest I have seen, Idli - very average , hard and small.
