Decent Veg Fare Near the Temple Visited this outlet near the iconic Kapaleeshwarar Temple. The food was just okay—nothing extraordinary, but decent enough if you’re hungry after a temple visit. Service was prompt and polite, which added to the experience. One major plus is the availability of parking space, which is a blessing in this busy area. Great for a quick vegetarian bite if you’re in the neighborhood. Convenient stop for pilgrims and tourists. Don’t expect gourmet, but it gets the job done. Mapping out memories, follow for more…

I visited Hotel Saravana Bhavan in Mylapore after seeing the beautiful Kapaleeshwarar Temple. It was a great way to end the evening. The place is clean, and the service is quick and friendly. The mini samosa was really good crispy and tasty, a perfect snack to start with. I also had the ghee roast dosa, and it was amazing! Crispy and full of rich ghee flavor definitely worth trying. I came from Madurai, and this was one of the best pure vegetarian places I found in Chennai. If you're near Mylapore, don’t miss eating here. It’s simple, tasty, and perfect after visiting the temple.

This hotel is a good place to eat. First when we arrived there were nobody to take our orders which felt a little disappointed but then they balanced the disappointment with their food. The food was delicious 😋 especially the ghee mini Idly and rava Kichidi. Try this hotel if you visit the Kapaleeshwarar Temple.

The restaurant is deceiving. We have had great experiences before at Hsb in different chennai outlets around 8 years back. The quality and service has drastically reduced now. We went for dinner last evening after visiting the temple. Upon reaching we found a table and got seated, we kept asking them to clean the table but nobody listened to us and we had to scream and raise a tone for them to take us seriously, they were short staffed, the waiters were busy chatting amongst themselves, not attentive towards customers. We told the waiter to ask him to send the person to clean but she dint hear him, we moved to a table closer to her and asked her to clean and she started answering back very rudely. Ok now coming to the food, we were told at 9pm there was only dosai, parotta and chapathi. I wanted to have north indian but the waiter sounded like please just choose something from what I listed I’m not giving you anything else. We ordered for two ghee masala dosai and one ghee roast. We got one masala dosai and the second one never came, the first person almost finished eating. Then the server comes and says sorry sir masala is over it will take time, meanwhile he came and kept “plain dosai” when I had very clearly asked him for ghee roast. The plain dosai my dad ate, and I ordered for a ghee roast the second time. It came, but was more like nei dosai and NOT NEI ROAST!! the bill was charged for dishes which were not even prepared the right way and they denied to change the bill to what we actually had. I ended up ordering something for myself through zomato after reaching home because I was so disappointed and lost my appetite when I visited this place. Such a chaos, the staff are preoccupied amongst themselves, pathetic customer service, please consider other better options around the locality, feel cheated with the bill as they charged for incorrectly prepared dishes

Ordered couple of chola bhatura. The waiter said will check & come back to you. But then he came only after 15 mins with a plate of chola bhatura and informed us to wait for couple of minutes for another chola bhatura . After ten minutes he is conveying there is no chola bhatura right now. Worst ever service provide here. Better go to Sangeetha restaurant which is very much nearby.

Had to wait for more as there was only one waiter around 11.30 am. Though menu mentions all item available till 10.30 pm, only the items the waiter tells are available. Ordered quick lunch and found passable.
