Hotel Savoy Bern

We had a short but wonderful 1-night stay at Hotel Savoy Bern before continuing our journey to Zürich. The moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm welcome and the stylish, modern atmosphere of the hotel. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed — perfect for a restful night after a long day. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Bern, making it easy for us to explore the old town even with limited time. Although our stay was brief, the excellent service and overall comfort left a strong impression. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bern, whether for a short stopover or a longer stay.

Really loved the stay. Cant fault the room, everything modern and super clean, azomg shower, bedding, pillows. Really all in the room was great. Breakfast was really good, everything you want and all fresh. Staff were helpful. Location was walking distance to everything. 5 mins walk to train stations. WiFi was fast. I can't fault anything for a central hotel.

This is really not what you expect when it’s rated as a four star hotel. I think at best it should be a three star hotel. ||The location is great, it’s close to the Bern train station and also very easy access to local transportation and shopping. ||It seems like they tried to make the hotel fancy with small touches but they don’t have the basics down yet. For example, there’s an automatic blind for the window but they also don’t provide conditioner. The shampoo leaves your hair feeling like straw. Another example, they have a towel warmer but the room smells musty like a motel, as if the carpet hasn’t been cleaned in years. They have plastic cups to use, which is admittedly minor but not what you expect at a four star hotel.||The first room I was given smelled very strongly of some kind of medical ointment so I was moved to another room with a view of a side of a building. I guess the one benefit of that is that it’s quieter at night. ||Interestingly, they provide a memory foam pillow which was a new experience for me. Blankets are very thin. Maybe it’s because of the time of the year? But the hotel I stayed in previously provided a thicker blanket and it was not an issue. ||The receptionist was very nice but did not offer the guest pass for public transit and did not let us know about the breakfast that was included in our stay. I think if this had been rated a 2.5 or 3 star hotel, I would have been totally fine with the experience. However, this is not what I would consider a four star hotel after having stayed at many both internationally and within Switzerland.

Really a great and clean hotel, and most importantly, the most beautiful thing I saw in the hotel was the good treatment from everyone, the beautiful smiles, and the respectful reception. I would like to thank the receptionist who welcomed us on October 18, 2025, for her wonderful smile that never left her face, as well as her cooperation in facilitating everything. I also thank all the employees for their good performance and politeness in everything.

This hotel is very nice and very clean, and in an excellent location. Couldn’t be better located while visiting Bern. The one thing that separates this hotel from so many, is its staff. They are all professional, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable about the city and courteous. The front desk manager, Charles went over and above for us. I’ve traveled my entire life, living in hotels, for both work and leisure. I have never had anyone do for me what he did. It was raining, there was major road construction and there was no way I was going to get to the hotel. I called after 3 attempts and he said sit tight I’m coming to you to help you to get here. He walked to us with an umbrella over head, got in our car and directed us there. We had to literally drive through the plaza and he had to lower road barriers for us to get there. I will NEVER forget that gesture! THANK YOU Charles!!!!!!

Friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. the front desk was immediately welcoming and they gave us tips on how to safely swim in the river and even upgraded our room. It was the best end to our trip all throughout Switzerland and made Bern one of our favorite places there. Great value, service and room quality.

From arrival to departure all the staff at this hotel were simply amazing, courteous, helpful and genuinely flexible and polite, something that one hardly sees anymore.|We had a spacious double room with all the required amenities including tea/coffee making facilities and water (still and sparkling), replenished daily. Room was sparkling clean with looked after furniture and nothing looked worn.|Location was perfect for Bern, right near the main station and key links and shops. Breakfast we would say, everything one needed was there and more. We will certainly visit again.|(Hotel was fully adjusted for disabilities also)…. When leaving we were also offered chocolates and a bottle of water for our journey, a nice touch. Will certainly visit again this great hotel and amazing Swiss city.

Nice hotel in the old part of Bern, and just a few minute walk from the train station. Very quiet rooms, window that opened, and AC that worked well. Staff was very nice and let me know how the local bus system worked and a few things to do in town, and also the town I'm going to next. Just a few minute walk to some museums, and less than twenty minutes to Klee and Einstein Museums. I'll certainly stay there again next time I'm in Bern.
