I had a pleasant stay at Hotel SB Glow. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made check-in smooth and welcoming. The location is excellent—easy to reach many parts of the city and close to public transportation. One big plus was the private garage parking, which was very convenient and priced reasonably at $20 per night. However, there were a couple of downsides. There was no microwave available at night, which made it difficult to heat up food after a late day. Also, the laundry service was quite expensive, more than I expected for a hotel in this category. Overall, it’s a good place to stay—especially if you value good service and a convenient location—but be prepared for higher costs on extras like laundry.

Hotel air conditioning is non existent in the summer. When asked for a fan, was told they don’t have any. Front desk rude when asked and made me feel like I was imposing while they contacted a maintenance staff member to lower the locked thermostat… to 21°C…. Which kept the room at 24° at best. Meanwhile the temperature control for each room is just left of the front desk… a panel on the wall. *edit after hotel left a response: The “this is the law response is untrue. They were able to set a colleagues room to 18°. When it’s 40° out a room does not stay at 20°! A hotel not having fans to lend out is silly. *** Room was 26° Celsius at 6am! Common areas, rooftop, and location are stellar. Prices are steep. Instagram influencers flood the rooftop bar/pool. I have no choice to stay here because it’s paid for by my employer. Do not recommend.

Room has some flow, over all okay. Body lotion has kept inside the bathtub which was hard once you are out of shower. One of the receptionist was answering without listing properly or even checking what I was showing her on my phone for parking. Parking signs are in local language so hard to understand, had to use google lance to understand in English some staff was not helping. Many cafes around the hotel, walkable distance to sagrada familia, train station, park. Cleaning staff was friendly.

The hotel itself is really nice, clean, comfortable, and worth the price. However, I was disappointed with the service, especially the cleaning; no one checks unless you ask, which is unusual for a 4-star hotel. Most of the staff were polite and kind, but I had a poor experience with the night shift team. When I arrived, they weren’t helpful at all. In other Barcelona hotels, staff were always understanding and flexible! even accepting a photo of my passport if it was packed away, or offering extra adapters without asking. Here, when I asked for an adapter, they simply didn’t care. What bothered me most was waiting at the lobby while one of the staff chatted casually with another guest instead of helping those in line. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful. The hotel is nice overall, but service matters a lot to me. Because of that, I wouldn’t stay here again, even though the property itself is lovely.

Very comfy hotel, great beds. Daily room cleaning which was excellent. Didn't use the pool, gym, sauna. Breakfast is painfully overpriced and mediocre. Only paid to do this once- €20 each daily! Loads of good places nearby that have a better offer for around €20 per couple for drinks and pastries. The rooftop bar closes at 22:00 and the bar closes at around 23:00 which was a great shame so wouldn't stay here again for this reason. Good location, 15 minutes to la familia on bike. 30 minute walk. The hotel helps you to hire bikes for €35 for the weekend. Barcelona is really fun to cycle on bikes. Shame about the bars. We are coming out of season so this may be why.||Hotel itself is very good but expensive for what

I stayed at SB Glow Hotel in Barcelona in March 2024 and overall it was a great experience. The rooms were top quality, I’d give them an 8 out of 10. The terrace had an amazing view – definitely a 10/10. We also had access to a sauna and gym, both were excellent, 10/10. For my birthday, we even got a nice surprise, which was a really nice touch. The staff was very friendly and helpful, definitely one of the highlights. The location is a bit farther from the city center, but there’s a shopping center nearby, which was convenient. All in all, a solid stay!

I recently stayed at SB Glow and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience, particularly with the service. While the room was clean, many aspects felt run down: the shower had very low water pressure, I could hear plumbing sounds from neighboring rooms, the thermostat didn’t function properly (leaving the room stuffy), and the in-room safe malfunctioned — the buttons stopped responding and it locked my passport inside. The last issue became quite serious. When I contacted the front desk, I was told a technician would come assist, but no one arrived. I called again only to be informed that no one could help until the next morning at 8:00, despite the fact that I needed to leave for the airport at 4:00. I was also told that the staff member was alone and unable to come to the room. When I went downstairs in person, I discovered they were not alone, and within five minutes they located a key and tools to manually open the safe — after insisting there was no solution available. The interaction felt dismissive and as though my situation was an inconvenience rather than something they were willing to help solve. A malfunction can happen anywhere, but the lack of willingness to assist and the misleading communication made this experience particularly frustrating. Based on this stay, I would not choose this hotel again.

I stayed at SB Glow Hotel last year and enjoyed it so much that I came back — and I’m glad I did. The hotel hasn’t lost its touch: it’s modern, spotless, and has a warm, welcoming feel from the moment you walk in. Housekeeping was flawless, cleaning our room daily and keeping everything fresh. Breakfast was just as good as I remembered, with plenty of fresh options to choose from. Yes, it’s a little on the pricey side, but the comfort, service, and overall experience make it worth every euro. If you’re visiting Barcelona and want a stay that delivers on quality, SB Glow is hard to beat. - Din
