Hotel SB Glow

Booked this hotel last minute for a weekend. The walls are paper thin meaning you can hear absolutely everything from neighbouring rooms. I had my headboard of bed shaking and the other neighbour was on a loud speaker call for 1 hour followed by loud music until 2am. I asked to check out with refund within 30 minutes of checking in. They said no. Reception said they had one room left but that they were all the same. Very disappointing especially for the price

We live in Barcelona and had a great time in the Bar and dining area. Tried the beer and the Ham Cheeseballs which were really good. The ambience of the place was really nice. Loved our server- she was quite friendly. It was a perfect Friday night setting. Experience was 10/10 Will come back for sure.

Ended our European tour in Barcelona and after almost 3 weeks of backpacking, we opted to treat ourselves by ending our honeymoon in a nice hotel. We chose Hotel SB Glow for the pool and views...not realizing the weather wouldn't quite cooperate but that's okay! Our flight was delayed so we got in pretty late, however we were greeted by the sweetest Mireia! She was so happy to help and even gave us compliments on the honeymoon! Our suite was beautiful and even though I was most excited for the pool, the bar and restaurant really got to shine! The food was amazing and the drinks and our bartender, Pablo, were incredible. Although the pool was cold (the days we were there it was gloomy), it was still well worth indulging in for a photo and for great conversation with some of the other hotel guests... I am not a work out on vacation kind of girl, so we did not utilize the gym but the gym looked nice and I LOVED that they had a steam and sauna room! All in all we enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back and stay again! And hats off to Mireia and Pablo who were both always so happy and sweet no matter how early or late in the day it was! Both were such a joy and deserves a raise ◡̈

This review is for the Hotel SB Glow, where we stayed from Friday to Sunday. Barcelona is truly an incredible city. The people, culture, food, transportation, and architecture are all remarkable, and it’s evident how much pride the locals have in their country. We had an amazing time exploring the city and soaking in its vibrant atmosphere. The hotel itself was nice, situated in a convenient area for getting around. The reception was beautifully designed, though the rooms were quite basic and has no sound proofing. You can hear everything outside room, which made it difficult to get a good night's rest. However, our experience was slightly marred by an encounter with an unwelcoming receptionist on Friday evening. She was dressed in black, had her black hair pinned up, and was wearing a blazer while speaking to her male colleague. When my friend and I returned from a day out, she greeted us with an abrupt and condescending “Yes! Yes! Yes! How can I help?” Her tone was unnecessary, and her behavior dismissive. She frequently pulled faces as if we were inconveniencing her, and her male colleague laughed along. For a moment, I wondered if we had somehow imposed on her generosity to stay for free, rather than being paying guests at the hotel. Despite this one disruption, Barcelona remains an extraordinary city with lovely people. If you visit, please give this magnificent city the respect it deserves—rude receptionists included.

We came here for 2 nights for a short trip to barcelona. Overall, the experience wasn't positive. The first impressions were poor. We booked 2 rooms with a view of the glow tower at an extra cost. When we arrived at our rooms, they were at the other side of the hotel without a view of the tower. I called reception, thinking this would be rectified. A male receptionist answered the phone, and I explained the situation. He told me he would check my booking and call me back. An hour passed without a call back, so i called again. This time, a female receptionist answered and told me she would look in to my booking. She did give me the curtesy to call me back and tell me I didn't book a room with a view but I could upgrade for 20 euro per room. I said I had already paid more for those rooms to which I was told I was mistaken or lying. Would i really lie about this?. We decided to stick with what we had considering this had already taken some of our holiday time away. The rooms are basic and small. The hotel lobby is nice with a good bar/restaurant. The location is okay. Metro nearby. Apart from the two reception staff I spoke to on the first day the rest were okay. Overall I would recommend staying elsewhere. I'm disappointed about the rooms but the hotel is nothing special. The spa was also closed

Where do I start? Beautiful hotel with great amenities. The location is close to a huge shopping mall(Westfield glores) and a 5 minute walk from Viva gym(if you're into fitness, check out the viva gym they have hyrox equipment, a cardio section and strength training as well. They also have boxing bags and trex.. just get a day pass for $10) they have great restaurants nearby and highly recommend El clot for their amazing tapas. They have a beautiful lobby and lounge area with a rooftop that has a pool. Gym and sauna. On their rooftop you have the perfect view of the observation deck Mirador torre glores and the Sagrada basilica. Staff is amazing and provides great service as well. The rooms are clean with a huge size bed. The bathrooms are beautiful . They provide iron with an iron board and numerous outlets in the room . (Theres also a desk where you can get some work done)They also provide body soap, (liquid..in Spain people don't really use bar soaps) ,hair conditioner and body lotion.(With a hairdryer and dental kit) (So no need to have to worry about purchasing soap) They have a huge closet with hangers for your clothes and it also includes an umbrella and protective plastic for your coats and soles for your shoes . They have a mini fridge with complimentary bottled water and a coffee maker machine. Also there elevators are amazing for taking cute pics be cause of the mirrors inside.

Great staff, comfortable rooms and a lovely terrace on the ground floor for coffee and food. Good menu with some interesting and tasty dishes. The Gorgonzola risotto was particularly good. Large cocktail bar on the roof with pool, in Summer. Interesting area just near Glories with plenty of restaurants nearby.

Nice hotel overall, in good shape visually. Extremely well located right near the heart of Barcelona, near a big shopping center. Bedding is lovely, huge balcony has two chairs and a lounge. The rooftop bar is great but be sure to sit upwind of everyone else, there are a lot of smokers in Spain. Massive sliding doors out to the balcony. The problem is with mechanical things. The in room fridge does not work at all. It's darn near impossible to figure out the shower, the ice machine in the hall does not work, the bidet remote does not work. The sink in the room is damaged and scarred near the drain, the plug for which does not work.
