I stayed at SB Glow Hotel last year and enjoyed it so much that I came back — and I’m glad I did. The hotel hasn’t lost its touch: it’s modern, spotless, and has a warm, welcoming feel from the moment you walk in. Housekeeping was flawless, cleaning our room daily and keeping everything fresh. Breakfast was just as good as I remembered, with plenty of fresh options to choose from. Yes, it’s a little on the pricey side, but the comfort, service, and overall experience make it worth every euro. If you’re visiting Barcelona and want a stay that delivers on quality, SB Glow is hard to beat. - Din

I stayed at SB Glow Hotel in Barcelona in March 2024 and overall it was a great experience. The rooms were top quality, I’d give them an 8 out of 10. The terrace had an amazing view – definitely a 10/10. We also had access to a sauna and gym, both were excellent, 10/10. For my birthday, we even got a nice surprise, which was a really nice touch. The staff was very friendly and helpful, definitely one of the highlights. The location is a bit farther from the city center, but there’s a shopping center nearby, which was convenient. All in all, a solid stay!

I recently had the opportunity to stay at this hotel, drawn in by its promise of a quiet location away from the city's hustle. Unfortunately, my experience did not align with these expectations. I booked three rooms for eight days from July 19 to 27, including a suite for my family of six. Upon arrival at 1:00 PM, we encountered a lack of assistance with our luggage, and our rooms were not ready until the official check-in time of 3:00 PM. While I understand the challenges of peak tourist seasons, the reception staff exhibited a noticeable lack of professionalism. There was no attempt to offer hospitality, such as a welcome drink or access to a waiting area. Upon finally accessing the suite, I was dismayed to find that it did not resemble the images on the hotel’s website. The suite had several maintenance issues: a clogged sink, a non-functioning toilet flush, and an air conditioning unit that not only failed to cool but also emitted an unpleasant odor. Unfortunately, maintenance staff were unavailable due to the late hour, forcing us to wait. Additionally, the behavior of the hotel staff was subpar. Morning housekeeping operations were disruptive, with excessive noise and commotion that made it difficult to enjoy a peaceful stay. Furthermore, I was surprised to find that the hotel charged fees for basic requests, such as electrical adapters and ice, which are typically complimentary at reputable establishments. The lack of regard for customer comfort was evident when water service was interrupted for over four hours. When I approached the receptionist, Sarah, her response was dismissive and cold. The patronizing offer of two small bottles of water was unsatisfactory, particularly given the circumstances. What was even more concerning was the management's apparent disregard for guest personal specifications. Upon our return, we discovered a bottle of alcoholic beverages placed in each room, despite the presence of children and our family's religious values. This oversight was both inconsiderate and inappropriate. Lastly, the water in the shower was discolored, resembling rust, which raised significant health concerns. In summary, my experience at this hotel was marked by a series of disappointments, from unprofessional staff to inadequate facilities and a lack of basic hospitality. I cannot recommend this establishment to prospective guests seeking a pleasant and respectful stay.

Lovely location, relatively close to everything we wanted to experience in Barcelona. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was good yet nothing special. The rooftop pool area/pool bar offered amazing view, definitelly the best pool area I've experienced. ||By the pool area was the hotel gym that could be booked for an hour at a time. The gym offered equipment to create nearly a full-body workout.||We liked our room. Only negative things to point out were a bathroom door that wouldn't close and a bad view from the window. Very clean and comfortable otherwise, would visit again.

We stayed at the SB Glow for a music festival. The location is out of the way of the city a bit so the streets and cafes around were quiet. Which was nice. The hotel itself has a very nice lobby, breakfast area and rooftop. We did do breakfast which was Buffett style and had multiple options. The food was good. The room is on the smaller size but it was very nice and clean. Housekeeping also would come everyday if you wanted to refresh the room. They did a great job. We utilized the rooftop pool and bar area the most during our trip. The views of the city are nice. The pool is small but functional. It was never over crowded with people. I went around 11am and had no problem getting a chair by the pool (chairs are limited). The bar had amazing drinks however there is usually just one server up there so if there are a lot of people it can take a bit of waiting to order. The food on the rooftop is also great. Overall we liked our stay.

I visited the Glow for 1 night with work and it's was a great base at a decent price point. It was 190E for a double room breakfast and that felt value for money given there was a roof top pool and bar (serving good food - reasonably priced), and a (very small) gym. The room was fine, it was on the third floor and whilst I was worried about noise - there was none. The only negative was there was a slight small of damp in the room due to the bathroom not having a door separating it from the bedroom. Overall, it's decent for the price. ||The breakfast was a self serve buffet, which was average, but plentiful. |Whilst I was there for work, it is within 10 minutes walk of the cathedral so it would be a decent base for a weekend break.

It was a great experience. Central location. Comfy and cozy room. Delicious food with a twist in the hotel restaurant. Nice free spa. However, the best bonus was kind and welcoming hotel staff. Separate big thanks to Daniel and Vanessa for all the advice and making my stay a nice memory. Writing this review today, amidst the blackout, I do hope everyone is well and safe.
